    Video summary:
    For acne/breakouts:
    Gentle cleanser, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide/azelaic acid.
    Ingredients for hyperpigmentation:
    Hydroquinone, vitamin C, niacinamide, licorice root extract, alpha arbutin. Sunscreen is a must.
    For anti-aging:
    Sunscreen, gentle cleansers/products, niacinamide, ceramides, peptides, retinol.
    Rest is promotion, in my opinion. Please stick to the basics and remember you don't need to "treat" all of your skin away!

      Go to a dermatologist if you have one near you, and try accutane. It changed my skin, and helped a ton. Also, if you’re looking for a product from PC’s, the 2% BHA they mentioned got rid of my blackheads, and closed my pores on my nose.

  • @ChaChaDiaries
    @ChaChaDiaries 4 роки тому +8

    NOOOOOOO! i literally just checked out from Paula's choice and bought the sale of the BHA toner and Niacinamide combo plus the the hydrating gentle cleanser. also, thanks for the bonus full size hyaluronic serum for free! I wish the hydrating toner in the red bottle was available and i would have picked that up as well. watching this now and will comment as it goes

    • @paprincess13
      @paprincess13 4 роки тому

      Me too. I’m literally obsessed with their products. I always have my shopping cart ready for when they tell me there’s a sale. Also, if you ever use Rakuten, and don’t have a direct coupon code from PC, Rakuten always had cash back on the PC site, so I use it if it’s a better percentage back than the sale or if it’s just a site-wide sale.

    I have tried everything! It’s sad and I feel for them that struggle as well. I also tried 2,5% benzoyl peroxide and followed all rules/steps and my skin flipped! I think i’m allergic, it got all red, dry and itchy. I gave it the time, but now can officially say that it didn’t work for me. Hope you all get nice and glowing skin.

    Since skin types can change over time as we grow older, how often do you recommend checking your skin type?

    • @ansleychan3490
      @ansleychan3490 4 роки тому +2

      refer to 3:09 you can do this as often as you want or you feel like your skin is changing.

    • @alexabond1217
      @alexabond1217 4 роки тому

      I think that is something you will be able to tell over time. If your skin is changing from dry to oily you will be able to tell and visa versa. Just being really aware of changes and adjusting your skincare accordingly. If you are using the right products you should be able to keep your dry skin moisturized and oily skin maintained.

    I LOVE Paula’s Choice. But I have such a hard time agreeing to exfoliation everyday, twice a day. Especially before benzoyl peroxide, vitamin c, and retinol. I know they claim to all be formulated to work together, and that even the lower ph ones can still be used out of order of ph (e.g the c15 booster is a lower ph than the bha 2%, but is still supposed to go after), but am I actually ok to go ahead and use the bha before my morning Vitamin c and nightly retinol or benzoyl peroxide? That seems intense, but in my routine on their site, they claim it’s recommended. Just gets confusing when we’ve been told for so long to be careful with mixing actives and over exfoliation.

    I can't believe that I finished watching this video because of Paula's Choice products. I never tried any of their products before and it sounds very promising. It's a bit pricey for me as compared to the TO's products. Maybe I will try one of their products one day. Very informative video though.😁👍

    Awesome guest. Thanks for sharing such great information in an easy to understand way. Half an hour flew by! 💜💙💚💛🧡 The only thing I think that was missing was which product are better for daytime versus nighttime? I know retinoids are definitely night-time only, but some people say no actives at all during the day. Is that true?

    Pleaseee tell me which product to use and which face wash to use? I have oily skin and Literally after justtt 10 minutes of washing face I get oil again on my skin. They say oily skin is related to hair so recommend a shampoo also I've tried some but nothing works.
    Please do check my message and respond me. I'm tired of getting acne due to too much oily skin

    haha loved that drunk elephant shade. It’s been my only experience with vitamin c and completely turned me off. Turns out that dark orange colour meant it was ineffective ... going to give Paulas choice vitamin c a go.
    love this channel the most x

    I have a pretty in-depth skincare routine and I am wondering if acne medication (prescription acne products, mine is Dapsone)
    needs to be applied to bareskin (after cleansing) or can it be applied
    after toner/essences serums etc?

    Hello Fel & Row! I love your videos a lot.. so informative!
    I’m in my early 20s & I have dry skin (can totally relate to Row in all the videos). I live in Mumbai, India because it’s so hot, anything that you apply would just sweat out when outdoors.
    I like to apply toner, emulsion, serum etc (the whole Korean routine) but at times it’s hot & humid.. yet my dry skin needs some moisture. (Toner has been a friend during such times)
    What are the necessary products to apply in a tropical environment?? (Apart from SPF)

    I have combination skin and the light weight moisturizer I use twice a day isn't enough to prevent TEWL at night. I'm looking for a hydrating moisturizer that won't be too heavy, any recommendations? Love this video❤️❤️

      I am currently using the iUNIK Beta glucan moisture cream (blue one), it works well for my skin and under mask. The iUNIK Centella calming gel cream was too dry for my skin. Just for info, I have combination to dry and acne prone skin.

      Same. That Omega+ Complex Moisturizer looks intriguing to me. It’s also sold out on their website so it must be good.

    I've read you can make your acid less effective if you mix Niacinamide with BHA, but in this video you guys don't mention that. Does anyone know if this is true??? 🤔🤔🤔

    Felicia- Did you purge when you first used the Paula’s Choice BHA exfoliating toner? I did but don’t know if I should give it some time to adjust on my skin ✨✨

    • @paigelilyxx

      It is possible to purge from BHA as it’s increasing cell turnover, give it a few weeks and should hopefully stop purging! If not then it just doesn’t agree w your skin ☺️

      Most active ingredients have potential purging effects. Maybe use it less often, once every 2 days instead of every day etc. Eventually your skin will get used to it.

    Is it okay to use Serum with Retinol along with Niacinamide or with Vitamin C?

    • @gracetoe6281

      No Retinol does not mix well with Vitamin C. But you can use Retinol with Niacinamide or Niciamide with Vitamin C
