1:09 "It's also weird that it doesn't call Kris a human" ... "LV1 Human" Yes, we don't know if it's *their* soul or not, but it DEFINITELY calls them human. "Body" refers to "[Their body] contains a human SOUL."
One interesting idea I’ve never heard anyone bring up before about “Determination” is that it’s not actually a double entendre, but rather a QUADRUPLE entendre. Of course it refers to the ability to de-terminate yourself, and the concept of being determined to complete a task, but there’s the third option which is to determine one’s own future, with the fourth which I believe to be VERY important to the core message present in Deltarune; Determinism. Determinism is a philosophical doctrine that suggests that human free will does not exist, and instead that all actions performed by people are caused by forces external to the will of those people. This also means Determination simultaneously refers to free will, and a lack of free will, but what’s important is WHO gets the free will in this situation. Sounds a lot like the concept of characters in a video game being controlled by the player, huh? That’s the point. In this world, nobody can choose who they are, and as we can see that Kris has a save file which has been reset (a file with a name but no time on it occurs when you have previously played the game but reset the file afterwards), it’s quite likely that their world has experienced it’s destruction many times over, and they are unable to save it. At least, not without the power of a being who is not bound by the rules of their world; the player. After all, that’s the distinction between a movie and a video game; it’s interactive media. Without the player, Mario never saved the princess. Without the player, Sonic never defeats Dr. Eggman. Without the player, the world is covered in darkness, and that’s exactly what we see happen if we quit Deltarune after dying instead of loading from the last save. In fact, consider for a moment that the words “Delta Rune” can literally mean “change what is set in stone” by translating each part individually, and that Gaster says he looks forward to creating a new future with us before he shouts “SHOW YOURSELF! DELTA RUNE” and then we are connected to their world. In fact, this entire rabbit hole of determinism goes WAY deeper. Consider in the legend how it divides the screen into two parts down the middle near the start, “IT IS A LEGEND OF HOPE; IT IS A LEGEND OF DREAMS” and “IT IS A LEGEND OF LIGHT; IT IS A LEGEND OF DARK”. Light and hope are associated, and dark and dreams are associated. But, light’s connection to hope doesn’t end there. The same legend mentions that the heroes appear, “SHINING WITH HOPE”, the first save point is described as “the light only you can see”, there’s a power inside of you (the soul) that’s capable of sealing dark fountains, and “there’s a light inside your soul that’s still shining in the cold”. Dark and dreams, too, have plenty of parallels. Dark worlds are basically dream world, and “when the light is running low… and the places that you know seem like fantasy”, and even the connection to characters like Spamton mentioning still feeling so dark despite his new body, as a symbolism for still not being in control of his own fate, further connecting the idea of dreams and darkness to having a lack of control. In fact, if darkness is to not being in control of your fate, and light is its opposite, then light must symbolize control over your own destiny. Light is to DELTA, or change, as Dark is to RUNE, or set in stone, and the more light you have relative to your surroundings, the more control you have. This is why nobody can choose who they are in this world, and why Gaster connected us to it. In the light world, everyone has the same amount of light. They are all bound by the laws of determinism to follow their programming directly… but in dark worlds, they CAN choose, because they have more light than the dark worlds. But, no matter what they do they may be bound by that determinism to follow the story to their own demise, and this is where the light of the player is required. They are needed to make the important decisions that will save the world. The decisions that nobody else is capable of making because it’s not their fate. Despite Determination allowing the ability to determine the future, it also revokes the ability of others to make their own choices. Having determination is to suppress the free will of others, making it two sides of the same coin. So if somebody comes along with more determination than anyone else and opens a dark fountain that destroys the world, like the Angel’s Heaven…? Well there’s nothing that can be done without somebody with even more determination; us.
Considering there’s lots of evidence that Frisk’s soul in Undertale belongs to Chara (the save file name, Chara being associated with the feeling of stats increasing as you gain levels, Chara having been buried below where Frisk lands, evidenced by Flowey’s genocide dialogue and the yellow flowers where Frisk wakes up despite them not being present in the cutscene that depicts Chara landing, the fact that it isn’t clear what happened to Chara’s soul after Asriel died, etc.), it may even be the case that Frisk is in a similar position as Kris. Frisk may themselves have died on the fall down, leaving a vacancy for Chara’s soul to transfer from their body to Frisk’s (and since Asriel was holding Chara while he died, the soul could have moved back into Chara’s body easily). This would further justify the belief that Kris could be in that position, as Kris and Frisk are near-anagrams.

I think Kris isn't fully dead. It's like spamton. Kris is just a puppet in our hands. Just like in Undertale, after Chara died, we, the puppeteer, may have brought him back to the underground by controlling him, and in the same way, Chara may not have died completely. Think about it this way, Flowey told us that we could erase all efforts. So in this case, we are puppeteers. So you will ask how Frisk and Chara are the same person? I can say this about this. After Asriel returned to the underworld, he transformed into another form with a portion of his human soul. The Flowey form. Similarly, in the soulless good ending, we saw Chara in Frisk's appearance at the end. In this case, could Kris also have an original form? We said that Kris is not completely dead because he can move without his soul. Chara also woke up after gaining enough power in the genocide ending. If we look through the windows in our house in Deltarune, we can see that someone is killing someone. The game directs us to this. Or rather, Kris is leading us to do this. Maybe in the sink scene in episode 2 snowgrave route He went to gather Berdly's power. We can understand this from here. In the last scene, Kris was moving easier than before. In short, Kris is a puppet and we are the puppeteers. What do you think?. I'm waiting for your replies. (sorry im using google translate i dont have a good english) edit: We can also understand from the Deltarune battle system that it is the body, not the soul, that gains strength. Kris really be like: "Man I'm dead" *proceeds to rip very alive soul out of their body* I much prefer this theory over the Asriel is Dead theory, because I feel like Toby wouldn't just kill Asriel TWICE, in a game that very much has his return and reveal hyped up, almost as much as Dess and Gaster are. It'd feel very much like a "Hahaha, GOTCHA! He's actually dead AGAIN, remember Undertale guys?? When he was dead? He did it again, he died! Off screen, to a random thing that happened probably!"
I agree, Toby probably wouldn't do that twice, unless he had a very good reason to story-wise, which he doesn't seem to so far. With Chapters 3 and 4 releasing next year, us Deltarune players/fans, will finally get more content to talk about. This drought of new story ingame, drove the content creators on UA-cam and streamers on Twitch who relies on his work for their content, to play mods and fangames of Undertale and Deltarune or using fanmade animations. maybe, his REAL soul, is in the lake. which would explain why hes blue in the dark world, and also the secret Onionsan might of wanted to tell us, is that THERES A FREAKKIN SOUL AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LAKE, HE DIED AND THEN A SOUL TOOK THEIR BODY AND USED IT LIKE A MEAT PUPPET. and what if Kris wasn't determined at all, what if it was the player with their human soul, leaving behind some of their determination inside of Kris's body, like fueling a robot that has no engine.
YIPPIE KRIS IS DEAD THEORY im not 100% sure im on board with it as of rn but i feel like it isnt discussed nearly as much as it should be given the... pretty obvious hints lol im gonna enjoy watching this >:)
Well, the answer is that kris is either dead or not. All the things from the video just show that their soul is either not theirs or their sold their soul to someone. So , they are posessed , that's for sure, but whether they are dead or not is just pure speculation.
First of all good video And TBH this makes a lot of sans that could also explain a lot of theories (mine included) But what about the Kris drowned theory A short explanation: When you first go into the dark world in chapter 1 you hear the music "ocean" (please correct me if I'm wrong) and the fact that Kris has blue skin like if they were drowning (In my opinion) Maybe Kris and dess went to explore the bunker and they drowned in the depths (I don't think a place with absolutely no light has air) and maybe gaster saved Kris as a human vessel🤔
Very “Is Link Dead in Majoras Mask”, and I love that. People didn’t buy MatPats theory even though it had a fair basis. I 100% think Kris is some sort of puppet, him being dead is really believable
My theory always was that the vessel we create is actually a dead or somehow emptied body of Kris. During the creation proccess we can see only a preview of what it could be. But the mysterious voice in the end manages to stop gaster and sends us into living Kris with their personality intact.
A bit of supplementary evidence for this theory: We know from undertale that a lack of determination won't take effect instantly. Asriel in the pacifist ending is able to last for what seems like a few hours before the stored determination runs out and he turns back into Flowey, so it's not unprecedented for Kris to also be burning determination while without their soul. In the beginning scene of chapter 2, before we cut to Toriel discovering the empty pie tin, we have what seems like a flashback to her discovering Kris' body. At a glance it seems like it's part of the same scene, but when you really examine the dialog and context it doesn't make any sense for the "NOOOOOO---!" to be in response to discovering Kris ate all the pie. The scene begins with Toriel walking into the room, so she wouldn't have been talking to Kris prior to that unless it was a flashback. There's also a stain on the carpet near the wagon, which could be determination from the soul, or blood from when they died. They could have also drowned, which would explain the connections between Kris and the ocean that keep being made.
Ngl, this seems a bit like clickbait. This is basically just repeating points from the "Kris is posessed" theory video without adding anything. There is no reason to assume Kris died at some point or that Kris' body is controlled by someone thats not them or the player. Infact theres even instances where Kris acts a certain way that only they would, like when they closed their eyes when we make them open the door to Asriels room in queens castle. So this entire thing is basically just pure speculation based on literally nothing.
Amusingly I think everyone would have to agree with most of the things in this video, except the "Kris is Dead and Gaster killed him". Kris is definitely possessed. But we don't know the rest. One thing to point out, is that it is heavily implied that the entity that discards the vessel is not the same who creates it (speaks differently, especially noteworthy in Japanese). Now, if we go with the idea that Gaster is creating the vessel, this would mean us possessing Kris wasn't the plan, and only happened due to the other's interference. Whether Kris would have been replaced by the vessel, reshaped to be the vessel or something else would've happened entirely, isn't clear, but the way it turned out seemed to not have been his plan. This could still be made to work with your idea. For example, Gaster would've tried to turn Kris into a vessel, something akin to hollowing out their being, but failed. Kris, refusing to be changed/replaced, discards the vessel. The process still turned them into a puppet requiring the soul, but they retained part of their being. Or something like that. It's not really what I believe, but pondering is entertaining.
so you are always guessing who is possessing frisk, and how chara was revived so i wanna say what i think about it so starting in beguining of the game you are led to believe that the peson you had choose the name (chara) is the person that you are controling, it show on the save file to. but in the end of the game is revealed that person name is frisk not chara, and that is what most people believe. in gen chara says the you revive her with you dt , you reincarnated chara. what i believe is that the player and chara is the same thing, flowey say it in your face the dialogue after the endong of pacifist , saying that the only perso that can make all come back to the beguining is you , chara. so who is frisk? simple so you are chara and with your dt you reincarnated her , you play with chara reincarnation the whole game and depending the the actions you do the end results are diferent, in pacifist , after asriel realizes that chara is gone and that he must move on , the reincarnation of chara becames frisk, some one new made of your action, but in gen your just make be her sell again but in excessive, corrupt , distance from theirself because of lv, because the search of power to protect that became the search for the absolute power i have so must theories so let me knoe if you like this one and what more
My personal favorite crackpot theory is that Kris died alongside Dess when they were younger (even died with their red horns on), and gaster decided to make a clone of Kris called "The Vessel" to live their life (although rather poorly) up until the current day timeline to start the prophecy that gaster made up. Why? I don't know, ask gaster 😂
We "know" that the last lines in the vessel creation are not from gaster, he wanted us to make a vessel for our soul but another being made us posess kris instead
I don't think gaster wanted you to control Kris, since he was helping you making a vessel, and the person that tells you thzt you don't get to choose who you are in this world don't deem to be gaster (apparently, in japanese, the way the text is written is ike chara's)
i think that maybe the GONERMAKER scene is Gaster trying to create a vessel for the human soul but it ends being discarded for some reason then he looks for a better vessel and finds Kris to be the perfect vessel he was looking for. Maybe Gaster wants to study how a soul works on a different body???? and that's why he killed Kris, so he could put a soul that he made or a soul that he can spy
also the vessel isn't discarded so the vessel could persist even without a soul, and later in other chapter we could find them and they could be angry (or maybe they don't have a personality since they are supposed to be the body of the soul we control)
Because, Chapters 3 and 4 are releasing next year, confirmed by Toby himself. Gotta get that already made content out onto online before it becomes completely irrelevant. Remember the "Chara Theory" that was built off the cliffhanger at the end of chapter 1? That became completely irrelevant with the start of chapter 2, when it started with Kris having eaten the whole pie Toriel had ready
I don't think Kris shuffles around like that because they are already dead and are dependent on the soul to live. I'm pretty sure that when they take the soul out of their body, their walking looks super labored and arduous because well... l'm sure they can't exactly survive without their soul inside them for very long. I also think that the red soul is in fact theirs, but the player just controls it.
10:15 also here isn't flowey talking to chara? bc if u let the dialogue continue on a little longer he says "see you soon Chara" (or whatever name you choose for chara)
I don't think that Gaster wanted you to control Kris, since he was helping you making a vessel, and the person that tells the text with a different font that says that you don't choose xho you are seems to be a different one (apperently, in japanese, the way this text is written is like chara's)
Not sure if it could be evidence but, I've always wondered why Kris is the only one with a different skin tone in the dark world. Susy has the same tone and Ralsei looks like a normal goat, but Kris has a light blue tone that could indicate that he's a dead body.
Susie's skin, berdly's feathers and Noelle's fur are all brighter in a dark world, just like their hair The real reason why Kris turns blue is pretty simple their light world design is based on Chara and the dark one is based on Frisk
I mean it’s a cool idea but this is just a “kris is possessed theory” (which we’ve known is a fact for years now) with “oh and kris is actually dead” thrown on top with no evidence. If kris was dead how would they be walking around? Or reacting to stuff on their own? Plus the way you talk about snowgrave as if some other entity is forcing kris to do it is weird, cause no, the player is making kris do it, that’s the whole point
I like the idea of gaster killing Kris but to be honest if Kris did die I feel like they would’ve drowned, given that: 1- The game starts at the DEPTHS 2- Kris’ dark world form turns blue almost like if they didn’t have enough oxygen to survive! 3- When entering the closet dark world Kris wakes up after sea sounds
fun theory! well, put together video. but I completely disagree. when we make theories, I think its important to think about it in an attitude of "what did the author want us to see?" if you wanted your audience to think Kris was dead, there would be comments about smell, about them not eating or drinking, comments about their hair falling out or blah blah blah typical corpse stuff. we don't see that. what we do see is that: Kris eats an entire pie on their own (corpses don't eat) their hair smells like apples (good smell) they only act like a corpse when their soul is out. which is maybe because, I dunno, they dont have a soul? they don't have to be dead to be affected by something like that. they are only ever associated with themes of control, freedom, strings, and prisons. none of which really have to do with death. and please don't tell me that they can still do all of this because they have determination. because if you write everything off like that, it makes the whole concept of kris being dead obsolete. it's a fun theory. but I think when you scrutinize it, it kinda falls on its face lol great video though! always great quality from you :)
personally, i agree and have already thought abt the implications of some of the hints you mentioned, but i have to disagree with the way kris dies. typer values AND the japanese dub have confirmed two different people speak during the goner maker, and judging by the detail put in these games, i dont think its an coincidence that the typer_value of the first guy in the goner maker is "66", just like gaster's was in undertale. the one who interrupts (seemingly) gaster, and discards our vessel, is a different person. my personal belief is that whoever this entity is, put us in control because kris was a available vessel. after all, it seems that we cannot exist in the ut/dr world without possesing someone. in undertale we controlled frisk, and in deltarune we control kris. the whole "nobody can choose who they are" spiel is probably supposed to mean "you can't just infiltrate an world in which you do not exist." but through kris, there was an opening available for us. my belief is that kris died by drowning, which will tie in with the connection of the water from the fountains and the water from the light world, as more gets revealed in future chapters, and perhaps even " the old song coming from the sea"
the fact that kris does things out of our control and emotes to the other characters (like being traumatized after the spamton fight) is enough to debunk this entire notion. Idk about you, but dead people don't really do those types of things.
Small issue with the Gaster killing Kris thing is that the text that discards our vessel isn't the same as Gaster's and why would Gaster have us make a goner just to make us take over Kris
I don't trust toby to let kris be a normal kid after undertale having a protag that is like 3 beings (a human, former human that turned demon and a being from on higher universe) anyways they are probably 3 dead kids and a demon stuffed into a revived body or something I don't know lol.
This is just one of those theories I have nothing to add to. I am absolutely 50/50 on it and I just think if it is true we do not have enough info to be sure either way. Excellent vid as always.

maybe, his REAL soul, is in the lake. which would explain why hes blue in the dark world, and also the secret Onionsan might of wanted to tell us, is that THERES A FREAKKIN SOUL AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LAKE, HE DIED AND THEN A SOUL TOOK THEIR BODY AND USED IT LIKE A MEAT PUPPET. and what if Kris wasn't determined at all, what if it was the player with their human soul, leaving behind some of their determination inside of Kris's body, like fueling a robot that has no engine.
YIPPIE KRIS IS DEAD THEORY
im not 100% sure im on board with it as of rn but i feel like it isnt discussed nearly as much as it should be given the... pretty obvious hints lol
im gonna enjoy watching this >:)
Boy that escalated quickly
"The main character was dead the whole time."
LMAO
So much deltarune content everywhere right now!!
Well, the answer is that kris is either dead or not. All the things from the video just show that their soul is either not theirs or their sold their soul to someone. So , they are posessed , that's for sure, but whether they are dead or not is just pure speculation.
First of all good video
And TBH this makes a lot of sans that could also explain a lot of theories (mine included)
But what about the Kris drowned theory
A short explanation:
When you first go into the dark world in chapter 1 you hear the music "ocean" (please correct me if I'm wrong) and the fact that Kris has blue skin like if they were drowning
(In my opinion)
Maybe Kris and dess went to explore the bunker and they drowned in the depths (I don't think a place with absolutely no light has air) and maybe gaster saved Kris as a human vessel🤔
Neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
Very “Is Link Dead in Majoras Mask”, and I love that. People didn’t buy MatPats theory even though it had a fair basis. I 100% think Kris is some sort of puppet, him being dead is really believable
I love this video and your presentation style :D
My theory always was that the vessel we create is actually a dead or somehow emptied body of Kris. During the creation proccess we can see only a preview of what it could be. But the mysterious voice in the end manages to stop gaster and sends us into living Kris with their personality intact.
A bit of supplementary evidence for this theory:
We know from undertale that a lack of determination won't take effect instantly.
So this entire thing is basically just pure speculation based on literally nothing.
yup. This is a nothing burger theory
It's not really what I believe, but pondering is entertaining.
so you are always guessing who is possessing frisk, and how chara was revived so i wanna say what
i think about it
so starting in beguining of the game you are led to believe that the peson you had choose the name (chara) is the person that you are controling, it show on the save file to. but in the end of the game is revealed that person name is frisk not chara, and that is what most people believe. in gen chara says the you revive her with you dt , you reincarnated chara. what i believe is that the player and chara is the same thing, flowey say it in your face the dialogue after the endong of pacifist , saying that the only perso that can make all come back to the beguining is you , chara.
so who is frisk?
simple so you are chara and with your dt you reincarnated her , you play with chara reincarnation the whole game and depending the the actions you do the end results are diferent, in pacifist , after asriel realizes that chara is gone and that he must move on , the reincarnation of chara becames frisk, some one new made of your action, but in gen your just make be her sell again but in excessive, corrupt , distance from theirself because of lv, because the search of power to protect that became the search for the absolute power
i have so must theories so let me knoe if you like this one and what more
Is Kris a Fed?
HEAVY IS DEAD!
*YES! I AM DEAD!*
Welllll if you wanna be pedantic Flowey is talking to Chara in the post true pacifist dialogue. He says "See you later... Chara."
you should have seperated the evidence that kris is possessed from kris being dead, as those are not the same thing
Hi. I wanted to say to not give up on UA-cam. You make good videos
i think that maybe the GONERMAKER scene is Gaster trying to create a vessel for the human soul but it ends being discarded for some reason then he looks for a better vessel and finds Kris to be the perfect vessel he was looking for.
Yeah they are
Ah just in time for me to do my dishes, hell yeah
Piles of Kris' blood
new upload from bobux pfp youtuber ‼️
Ah. Green soul on shirt on Fangamer page
The soph? Nah you mean the goat 🐐
Kris also has Jaundicified skin
Micheal Afton
if frisk is also dead in undertale then weve seen 3 humans in this franchise all of whom are dead (outside of the intro)
What the hell? Why is Deltarune content from my favorites creators spiking
Because, Chapters 3 and 4 are releasing next year, confirmed by Toby himself. Gotta get that already made content out onto online before it becomes completely irrelevant. Remember the "Chara Theory" that was built off the cliffhanger at the end of chapter 1? That became completely irrelevant with the start of chapter 2, when it started with Kris having eaten the whole pie Toriel had ready
but then who was phone?
Phone guy is William Afton. In the first game, at least.
So like Agatha All Along?
Interesting
Thank you for this meaningful insight, gangsterbob
I don't think Kris shuffles around like that because they are already dead and are dependent on the soul to live. I'm pretty sure that when they take the soul out of their body, their walking looks super labored and arduous because well... l'm sure they can't exactly survive without their soul inside them for very long. I also think that the red soul is in fact theirs, but the player just controls it.
10:15 also here isn't flowey talking to chara? bc if u let the dialogue continue on a little longer he says
"see you soon Chara" (or whatever name you choose for chara)
gaster mentioned let's goooooooo
TheSoph drops again? No way!
The ending bit for if we disagree 😭
maybe
deltarune lost episode real
1k views in an hour, this video is gonna blow up
Newsletter dropped btw
I don't think that Gaster wanted you to control Kris, since he was helping you making a vessel, and the person that tells the text with a different font that says that you don't choose xho you are seems to be a different one (apperently, in japanese, the way this text is written is like chara's)
Not sure if it could be evidence but, I've always wondered why Kris is the only one with a different skin tone in the dark world. Susy has the same tone and Ralsei looks like a normal goat, but Kris has a light blue tone that could indicate that he's a dead body.
Susie's skin, berdly's feathers and Noelle's fur are all brighter in a dark world, just like their hair
The real reason why Kris turns blue is pretty simple
their light world design is based on Chara and the dark one is based on Frisk
I mean it’s a cool idea but this is just a “kris is possessed theory” (which we’ve known is a fact for years now) with “oh and kris is actually dead” thrown on top with no evidence. If kris was dead how would they be walking around? Or reacting to stuff on their own? Plus the way you talk about snowgrave as if some other entity is forcing kris to do it is weird, cause no, the player is making kris do it, that’s the whole point
Peak Deltarune has returned 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
I hope the dead Kris theory dies with me (or chapters 3+4’s releases, whichever comes first)
Neat theory. Would be curious to hear how this might impact the story.
Is your pfp you irl
yea, and they live in a pineapple under the sea too
I like the idea of gaster killing Kris but to be honest if Kris did die I feel like they would’ve drowned, given that:
1- The game starts at the DEPTHS
2- Kris’ dark world form turns blue almost like if they didn’t have enough oxygen to survive!
3- When entering the closet dark world Kris wakes up after sea sounds
fun theory! well, put together video. but I completely disagree. when we make theories, I think its important to think about it in an attitude of "what did the author want us to see?"
if you wanted your audience to think Kris was dead, there would be comments about smell, about them not eating or drinking, comments about their hair falling out or blah blah blah typical corpse stuff. we don't see that.
what we do see is that:
Kris eats an entire pie on their own (corpses don't eat)
their hair smells like apples (good smell)
they only act like a corpse when their soul is out. which is maybe because, I dunno, they dont have a soul? they don't have to be dead to be affected by something like that.
they are only ever associated with themes of control, freedom, strings, and prisons. none of which really have to do with death.
and please don't tell me that they can still do all of this because they have determination. because if you write everything off like that, it makes the whole concept of kris being dead obsolete.
it's a fun theory. but I think when you scrutinize it, it kinda falls on its face lol
great video though! always great quality from you :)
personally, i agree and have already thought abt the implications of some of the hints you mentioned, but i have to disagree with the way kris dies. typer values AND the japanese dub have confirmed two different people speak during the goner maker, and judging by the detail put in these games, i dont think its an coincidence that the typer_value of the first guy in the goner maker is "66", just like gaster's was in undertale. the one who interrupts (seemingly) gaster, and discards our vessel, is a different person. my personal belief is that whoever this entity is, put us in control because kris was a available vessel. after all, it seems that we cannot exist in the ut/dr world without possesing someone. in undertale we controlled frisk, and in deltarune we control kris. the whole "nobody can choose who they are" spiel is probably supposed to mean "you can't just infiltrate an world in which you do not exist." but through kris, there was an opening available for us. my belief is that kris died by drowning, which will tie in with the connection of the water from the fountains and the water from the light world, as more gets revealed in future chapters, and perhaps even " the old song coming from the sea"
the fact that kris does things out of our control and emotes to the other characters (like being traumatized after the spamton fight) is enough to debunk this entire notion. Idk about you, but dead people don't really do those types of things.
3 words : flowey the flower
Wait this reminds me of something…
Cool video mafia SpongeBob
Small issue with the Gaster killing Kris thing is that the text that discards our vessel isn't the same as Gaster's and why would Gaster have us make a goner just to make us take over Kris
To me, Frisk is dead and that's why they lack sentience
But In the winter alarm clock and in all other canon post game dialogues they shown living with their friends
wdym I didn't get the refused pun until now what
I don't trust toby to let kris be a normal kid after undertale having a protag that is like 3 beings (a human, former human that turned demon and a being from on higher universe) anyways they are probably 3 dead kids and a demon stuffed into a revived body or something I don't know lol.
This is just one of those theories I have nothing to add to. I am absolutely 50/50 on it and I just think if it is true we do not have enough info to be sure either way. Excellent vid as always.
Is Kris thread 🧵?
Is Kris half bread?
