A friend of mine has one of these, which I have done some work on. It's a very nice car, but with some issues. It needed a new front indicator light. This was available from France via the dealer, but took over two months to arrive, and came without the bulbs. These are made as a unit with two bulbs in, and this is only available from the dealers. A power steering pipe is leaking and this is no longer available (the car is 2007). It costs £565 a year to tax. A Jaguar XJ from the same year with the same engine (2.7 litre V6 diesel, 204 bhp) costs £330. It has frameless windows. On a saloon. The answer to a question nobody asked. Should the battery go flat, it is possible to break a window trying to open a door. It appears that the boot can only be opened electrically. If the battery is flat, as it is in the boot, that can be a problem. I know they look nice, but I prefer my Jag.
Citroen made a big mistake with the C6, they never really marketed it much. That’s why the C6 is extremely rare, and yes, there is Nothing you can do yourself, and for every little issue you have to take it to the Citroen dealer, and have your wallet and credit card to the ready. Still a great car though, but Not something you would choose unless you are rich.
