With out further ado I present The Temple Defender Vs. The Cerean Bad Ass. Ven Zallow Vs. Ki-Adi-Mundi! Please leave any suggestions for future match's below!!!
It’s nice to see one of my favourite Jedi (Ki-Adi Mundi) getting some much needed love. Other than the films, I really got to know him through the Outlander series and then I read Prelude to Rebellion. Although he is well known for having a purple and later blue bladed lightsaber, as the Padawan of Yoda and during his early years as a Jedi Knight his lightsaber actually had a green blade, as shown in the short comic Vow of Justice. I assumed the purple blade came from a crystal that he received from his people when he became the Jedi Watchman of Cerea and kept it until his promotion to Jedi Master, in which he swapped it for a blue crystal. The book Star Wars Lightsabers: A Guide To Weapons of the Force, describes that it was during his meditation that his binary brain bonded with two crystals, so his lightsaber carries both: the blue crystal is his primary crystal and a green one serves as a secondary crystal (an in-universe reason as to why in one shot in Attack of the Clones we see his lightsaber with a green blade). I completely agree with your assessment of his martial arts. I would say that he became more focused on Makashi between The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones, following several run-ins with the Jedi killer Aurra Sing and the sudden re-emergence of the Sith. Plus now that he was part of the Council, I doubt he was as physically active as he was when he was a Jedi Watchman. As we see in Revenge of the Sith, he mostly uses grounded rotations as opposed to the more acrobatic footwork of Form IV. There is one part of Outlander where I’m not sure whether or not he is using Form V. In a single movement he knocks away the axe of one thug while simultaneously redirecting blaster bolts from another thug to yet another thug. He also understands Ataru’s limitations in confined spaces, with at least two occasions where he seeks more open space (once in Vow of Justice and again in Outlander when facing Jabba’s thugs on a desert skiff). A theme/character flaw that I have noticed re-reading his early EU appearances is his tendency to never fully cover his blind spots. In a training session with Yoda, he failed to see that his own teacher could be the blind spot In his desperation for a son, he didn’t realise what he already had until one of his daughters almost became the property of Jabba the Hutt. While fending off a pack of Womp Rats he failed to see a cliff he was on and lost his footing, falling into the nest of a Krayt Dragon. In Emissaries to Malastare, after being betrayed and almost dying in a speeder he muses that perhaps he should stop accepting lifts in speeders (a reference to him being betrayed by Jabba and almost dying on a desert skiff in Outlander). Sorry for the lengthy comment, hope you’re staying safe and look forward to future versus videos 🙂
This is absolutely insane bro! Your writing, voice-over, music choices, and editing are all perfection! And the matchup itself is incredibly well balanced. Well done brotha, can't wait for more!
Great video, I really enjoyed how you highlighted Zallow, someone who I feel is often massively underrated. Mundi is also massively underrated, especially on UA-cam, something that I tried to right in my last versus video, similar to this one, that matchup being Ki-Adi Mundi vs Kao Cen Darach. In regards to Ki-Adi Mundi vs Ven Zallow, I feel they are equals in both physicality, and swordsmanship. Perhaps Mundi would gain a SLIGHT edge for his lightsaber skill. On top of that, I feel Mundi would have a fairly comfortable edge as a force wielder, so overall I believe Mundi would win.
Good video! Thank you for doing this. One thought: If Ki-Adi-Mundi did hybridize Form II and Form IV, that'd be one of the worst combinations for blaster defense, which is part of what eventually killed him.
Physical: Ventress”Mundi’s two brains would help him develop strategies but Ventress is younger and has better stamina, tho her endurance pales to his” Lightsaber skill: Equal”both are masters of the blade” Force: Mundi Equipment: equal Final: Ventress 8/10
Considering how skilled Aryn with the defense against force attacks was I doubt Ven Zellow would have trouble destroying Ki Adi Mundi, master Ven lived in an era where duels and battles were common not to mention all the fights against the Sith armed with all sorts of force abilities. And only ones able to survive a duel with Yoda were Mace Windu and Dooku, all others were non contest.
@@KumaoftheForest Mundi with a half a dozen or so other Jedi lost to a non force sensitive lightsaber wielder, struggled against essentially padawans Aurra Sing and Asajj Ventress, while Ven went head to head with the most accomplished lightsaber duelist of the Empire and Sith in general, who was also a beast with force power and physical strength. Ven killed several Sith lords in addition in their duel. His padawan was also a beast rendering couple of Sith lords defenseless in seconds and also going head to toe with Malgus. Ven could be more compared to Mace Windu and Yoda, although I consider both of them stronger.
Kid mudi is favorite but hes going a vs a grand master i think he is the third powerful on the hight thing. but he going to vs grand master that is just yoda but i think he not die but retreat because hes a powerful jedi (i am saying for ki adi mudi)
Lmao, Ki-Adi-Mundi was over 70 years old. PLEASE go ahead and explain to us how in ANY way he was “in his physical prime”…. He was LONG passed it…. And Malgus was 47 years old when he killed Zallow. So, again, HOW is he “not yet in his prime” lmfao. Your “prime” IS NOT 80 years old dude, like what are you even talking about.. Yes, he was; he was at the end of his prime. That was Malgus at his absolute PEAK in terms of power & skill dude; have you ever actually played The Old Republic?? Your prime is NOT 80 years old dude. That’s hilarious. And that is utterly FALSE regarding the Prequel/Clone Wars era Jedi. They were literally the PEAK of the Jedi Order in ANY era of Star Wars: DIRECTLY stated BY George Lucas himself. That era was literally filled to the brim with master level duelists and beyond. There’s no getting around that; it is direct in-universe FACT…. They met Sith Lords, Dark Jedi, and other Darkside users ALL the time in that period; so what do you mean they were “usually outmatched”.. And I mean of COURSE anybody is going to be “outmatched” against Dooku or Maul or Grievous, and finally Vader himself at the end of the war; ANY Jedi would be that isn’t named Yoda, Kenobi, Windu…. They were NOT “built just for battlefield engagements and not duels” like that is PROVABLY false. They were just facing some of the greatest swordmasters the Darkside EVER produced dude: Dooku, Darth Sidious, Darth Maul, Sora Bulq, Asajj Ventress, General Grievous, and THEN-at the end of the war-Darth Vader, surpassing them all…. Like there IS no other era in all of Star Wars that has THAT many apex level swordmasters as adversaries all at once, in one conflict.. ALL 8 of them are each one of the top 25 swordmasters in galactic history lmfao. Vader and Dooku are even in the top 5; and Vader’s #1, even directly stated as such multiple times…. And there was also Savage Oppress, a powerhouse and actually a solid duelist in his own right; even more powerful than Maul was. And also Garth Ezzar towards the end of the war-who took down multiple master level duelists himself like Mace Windu’s former padawan and Temple battlemaster of the Almas Academy Devan For’deschel, er try him /S and then also Zelice Sturm and every other Jedi present at the destruction of the Academy when he took it down. It was like the miniature operation Knightfall, or its teaser trailer.. Garth Ezzar is a savage, he’s insanely underrated. He took down multiple master level duelists by himself during the destruction of said Almas academy. So what are you even talking about.. Facing the greatest era of Sith swordmasters EVER and also the greatest non-Sith, Darkside-aligned duelists in galactic history too completely PROVES they were “built for duels”.. NO other era’s Jedi Order in all of Star Wars would have ever been able to contend with the Darksiders they had to contend with in the way that the Prequel/Clone Wars era Order was able to then. It is literally, directly stated in-universe that “the Darkside had never been stronger” in that time period for a REASON.. Even halfway contending with them at all is a feat in itself dude..
With out further ado I present The Temple Defender Vs. The Cerean Bad Ass.
Ven Zallow Vs. Ki-Adi-Mundi!
Please leave any suggestions for future match's below!!!
+Rob Terra How do you feel about Quinlan Vos vs Wolf Sazen? Or Lucien Draay vs. Anakin Skywalker?

ForklifterMatt thanks Matt means a lot!
I love that you mentioned Ki-Adi’s beast trick ability 👍🏻
Holy shit man!!! I suggested this match up to other vs youtubers!!! Never thought it would actually get made!!!!
This is who I am glad you liked it!
Hell yeah, a Ki-Adi victory!
You made the right call on this, Mundi lasted against grievous for hours. Great video.

Macattack 1 thanks for checking out the video!!
This one is awesome!!! The analysis is fantastic. Really inspires me to make more versus videos. A suggestion is T’ra Saa vs Darth Zahnna
Yes darth zannah
I'd love to see something on T'ra Saa too
Love it your versus is getting better and better keep up the good work.
Thanks Toast! Thanks for the help in this as well ;)
Haven't even watched it, and i am Dead pumped!
Good video! Thank you for doing this. One thought: If Ki-Adi-Mundi did hybridize Form II and Form IV, that'd be one of the worst combinations for blaster defense, which is part of what eventually killed him.
The irony that every Jedi learns Shii-Cho, a style that teaches Blaster deflection
Mundi did demonstrate ore frequent usage of TK and greater power with it though. He should get the edge
Will be looking forward to more of these videos in the future 🙌
Mundi is no match for Zallow
Just a personal opinion, but I do believe that Mundi's style was more likened to Djem-So, though I may be mistaken.
Personally, I think Zallow would win. He could go toe to toe with Malgus, almost winning. Even though he lost against Malgus, he could've beaten him.
Malgus mentioned defeating Zallow was his greatest feat. They were pretty close in terms of ability.
@@gabrielcarrasco8414 And I'm 99% sure Mundi wouldn't stand a chance against Malgus, thus leaving Zallow as the winner.
Bastilla Sham Vs Darth Bane where you believe they are at least close to each others skill level
Ki Adi Mundi vs Ventress 12:13 break the stalemate in a Verses match
Physical: Ventress”Mundi’s two brains would help him develop strategies but Ventress is younger and has better stamina, tho her endurance pales to his”
Lightsaber skill: Equal”both are masters of the blade”
Force: Mundi
Equipment: equal
Final: Ventress 8/10
Sora Bulq versus Ven Zallow.
Ki Adi Mundi vs Darth Nihl

Most people Ven fought weren’t Mundi’s level
