[4K] Munich (MUC) - Seoul (ICN) Flight || Lufthansa A350-900

Lufthansa Flight LH 718 from Munich (MUC) to Seoul (ICN), July 2022.
Because the Russian sky is closed off for Lufthansa planes due to the situation in Ukraine, flights to Korea are diverted along the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Kazachstan-China route, leading to a very scenic trip. After traveling along the Turkish coast, you fly cross the Aral Sea and past Baikonur, pass Ürümqi and begin chasing sunrises in inner Mongolia before seeing the eastern parts of the Gobi desert. After flying around Beijing (unfortunately cloudy at that time), the plane starts its descent over the Bohai Sea before ultimately landing at Incheon International Airport. The east-bound flight only took 10:30h.

How was the flight? Wasn't it too uncomfortable/long? (I will take the same flight in 2 months LH718 😅)

Flight was smooth and only 11:00h to Seoul! I was flying economy class, but it was manageable even for the longer duration. A big factor is the ventilation system aboard the A350, you do not feel as tired afterwards as on older jets. Also, it was an overnight flight, so you tend to sleep for some hours. The trip back was more enduring and about 13h, definitely the longest flight I have taken to date.
