Everyone would like to have Nothing Chat to chat with Nothing or with iPhone ! It was a great concept which allows people to connect with Nothing or iphone with blue bubble. Just got to know the amount of research and thought that goes behind creating an operating system. Very insightful and interesting video Nothing users are getting the best from their phones as there is so much thought behind the design and interface of the phones. A proud nothing phone 2a user 🤗💫®️
That hight context example is so relatable!😂 By the way, I feels Lava and Nothing are doing good job in simplicity. No bloatware, turn your app icon into simple grey & white colour, bring all apps on home screen & group then and start using your minimalist phone. PS: This applies for me, there are different types of user as well.
Very nice video, super easy to follow! One point about the cultural difference - I don't see how high/low context really applies to the complexity of the screens. Rather, the cultural aspect to focus on is called uncertainty avoidance, which says something of how people from certain cultures are with vague situations. Here, the Asian countries you mentioned are (broadly speaking) less trusting of vague information. That explains why information-rich UI is better there. Actually if you rely on the idea of high/low context, iOS would be an example of HIGH context, not low. minimalist UI requires that you understand how to access all the features even though they are hidden. In other words, you need context.
By doing this, provide a very important security feature to all Nothing's phones and that setting is that whenever we or anyone else switches off the phone, it should first ask for the lock screen password requirement.
I honestly like Nothing, not going into the traditional marketing and having a connection with their customers on a personal way. I see that in their products too. Its very.. real.

Nothing are freaking terrified of releasing the 3 because the backlash is going to be ENORMOUS when people see that Nothing ditched some of the dated aesthetics choices of the phone 2 (i wouldnt even be surprised if the glyph lighting is gone..)
I noticed this before in myself. Where I worked I was able to get most phones at a decent discount/incentives. And when I used an android phone as my main device, my screen time was a fraction of when I used an iPhone. There’s something to it, I noticed I only picked up my galaxy when I actually needed it and not just to doom scroll
For me ios does everything well but it’s to limited and boring I prefer android because I can do more like customisation and downloading more things they both have their strengths and weaknesses and I can understand why people love both
In the OS, yes especially when your on the go and dont have the time to think too much about it. On specific Apps on the other side i wished some things would change to the eastern countries design language.
0:27~1:26 (and also the rest of the video for that matter) - this is not necessarily always related to the operating system itself. in computer science, we study such tactics under the topic called "Human Computer Interaction". in fact, it's an entire field of it's own under the domain of computer science, and we don't study it together with another topic such as the "Operating System" or any other system design courses. this is not necessarily a part of the operating system itself, and that's why some apps can have far better user experience while others don't. and it's all because they have a better design for interaction with humans. the operating system usually have not much to do with it, unless it's a feature that has to be implemented in the user interface of the phone itself.
I am unhappy that the nothing gallery app can not be set as a default media app and that I am forced to use google photos instead. Other than that the nothing os really makes me happy and props for the great research and good summary of the topic! :)
U might want to involve history here… like how BB were also famous back then because of the community it built BBM. And when they shared it to android, they began loosing the game..(thought it was not the sole reason) While there maybe many aspects we may want to know why people stick to their preferred phones or OS, one cause might be because of community cultivation. Companies need also to produce quality phones (every single time) as people’s past “bad” experience might be the reason why they would not purchase.. for instance, i did not have a great experience then using an asus device, so its really blacklisted on my future purchases..😅 - my personal take though 😁😁😁

@picnsc not sw updates, but UI/UX consistency. Back button and/or back gestures play game game with their users
@@LifeGeneralist definitely software updates though? When an iOS update comes out, it goes to every iPhone that supports it, but Android 15 for example, is only out on Pixels for now
@@picnsc Talk about the inconsistent UI. Apple is arrogant to not listen to its users
okay this was awesome. and its CRAZY for a company to admit, their product MIGHT not be the best personal choice for the customer.
personally, my next phone is definitely going to be an android. i've come to dislike many of the things about my iphone. the next phone may very well be a nothing phone. although i might just represent myself with a more anime aesthetic and get a redmagic or something along those lines (if i get enough disposable income, im pretty poor)
either way, awesome video!
Don't go with Red Magic or Nubia. They have some cool features, like the under display camera, and a very cool design, but their system is pretty raw and switching from an iPhone can be very difficult.
@ im not your average run of the mill user, I’m tech oriented and I’ve used many devices in my time. My first smartphone was an android and it was what I was going to stick to until my phone broke and I was given an emergency iPhone 4s. Stuck with iPhones ever since mostly because of iTunes and iCloud. Can’t wait to return to android.
@@lolpl0000 I generally don't find people who are interested about tech, I guess the only thing I can do now is to wish you good luck with finding a good new phone

First time I was here in your channel, wow nice animations and content, way to go really felt like you’re a minimal persona, I think you like IOS more than android, good work, keep going 🥳
As a UX designer this was informative and fun
Finally. This video explains more than what the others explained on the difference between the two. It's not just the features and software updates, it's also the culture in which the users live by.

Nothing phone 3 launching date pls
what is the phone 2 missing according to you? I really dont feel like i need more or better

iphone was simple but when they started added features, they complicated it as how to use them.
android on the other hand, already added features but they (phone companies) had simplified them.
Everyone would like to have Nothing Chat to chat with Nothing or with iPhone !
It was a great concept which allows people to connect with Nothing or iphone with blue bubble.
Nothing can make revolution in android by bringing Nothing Chat. But unfortunately because of some issues with security and privacy it won't come to Nothing phone.
Please make some changes and bring it back with Nothing Phone 3
What about RCS?
@sparkradar of course they will bring it !
I request that whenever we switch off the phone, it should ask for the lock screen password so that the phone can be more secure. Please provide this secretary.
I felt attacked
Just got to know the amount of research and thought that goes behind creating an operating system. Very insightful and interesting video
Nothing users are getting the best from their phones as there is so much thought behind the design and interface of the phones.
A proud nothing phone 2a user 🤗💫®️
Soooo people who can't take more information(n00b), use iPhone.
For the average hick tech or they want to show fake status showing the brand
That hight context example is so relatable!😂
By the way, I feels Lava and Nothing are doing good job in simplicity.
No bloatware, turn your app icon into simple grey & white colour, bring all apps on home screen & group then and start using your minimalist phone.
PS: This applies for me, there are different types of user as well.
4:30 Why this part tho😭
Yeah like the control center is a mess for me even unknown android skins like color os feels better
2:44 Reminder to cry T T LoL
Truly amazing work!! Would love to see more collaboration like this.
Just 0:14 and already comparison is OS vs device...
0:53 Company vs OS...
By doing this, provide a very important security feature to all Nothing's phones and that setting is that whenever we or anyone else switches off the phone, it should first ask for the lock screen password requirement.
How is iOS boring? It’s just an os😭

The way she broke down the mindsets of different people and conveyed it to us was remarkable.
You didn't answer the question you posed in the title? Nothing usually doesn't engage in click-bait, I hope this isn't the start of a trend.
Are you actually joking? This entire channel is clickbait marketing lmfao
I honestly like Nothing, not going into the traditional marketing and having a connection with their customers on a personal way. I see that in their products too. Its very.. real.
Please cmf phone 2 be under 18 k please

Haptic feedback baked into everything is so nice to have, it just makes the phone feel alive

This is single-handedly the most thoughtful. well researched video I've seen on the iOS vs Android debate. Phenomenal job Nothing!!

That's the best video out there explaining product management in 5 mins
I like the simplicity and consistency of the iOS back gesture. You simply consistently can't predict how it will work in the next app.
Didn't want this to end, so fun and informative
Wholesome video! Nothing is not trying to poke the competitors but empower the users with knowledge and a more nuanced perspective.
fun fact: Even nothing doesn't have control over the operating system on their phones. They just have "UI" in the name of Nothing OS. No hate it's genuine comment.
that is absolutely correct fact 🤣
windows phone 8.1 was the last phone OS to make me truly happy :(
nothing phone 8.1 when
We all forgot about windows phones man
Amazing marketing job. I might consider a nothing product in the future.
this is the reason why i switched from samsung to iphone, there is just too much information when using my samsung phone, to the point that it kinda ruins my daily lifestyle.
iphone gives me good apps that help my adhd, like reminders app, notes, clock. stock apple apps are so great for that! plus with the new ios 18 features, my home screen looks better now!
Honestly I use both, I like both operative systems, both suit my preferences.
@@androidoneiu5206 yeah, but with my adhd, my experience on samsung has been quite distracting. plus my apple watch will serve useless if i dont use an iphone haha
Great video! Didn't even notice it was from nothing until the end
This is what I enjoy watching! Thanks!!
Nothing are freaking terrified of releasing the 3 because the backlash is going to be ENORMOUS when people see that Nothing ditched some of the dated aesthetics choices of the phone 2 (i wouldnt even be surprised if the glyph lighting is gone..)
You didn’t give the guy a ball every 5 seconds, you threw a 100 at him at once
Best comparison between iOS vs android ❤
I noticed this before in myself. Where I worked I was able to get most phones at a decent discount/incentives. And when I used an android phone as my main device, my screen time was a fraction of when I used an iPhone. There’s something to it, I noticed I only picked up my galaxy when I actually needed it and not just to doom scroll
so unexpectedd, but def needed ✨
In fact there is a conclusion and it's pretty evident: You can make complex things simpler but you can't make simpler things complex
For me ios does everything well but it’s to limited and boring I prefer android because I can do more like customisation and downloading more things they both have their strengths and weaknesses and I can understand why people love both
i could never live without a bajillion different pieces of data on my screen, you got that on point
In the OS, yes especially when your on the go and dont have the time to think too much about it.
On specific Apps on the other side i wished some things would change to the eastern countries design language.
The back gesture and keyboard on the iPhone are so bad that they are the reason why my next phone will be Android despite the worse camera quality.
solid collab! keep em comin!
ABSOLUTELY GOATED COLLAB 🙌🏽
this is nothing. The Nothing Brand I've imagined when they just started with nothing ear 1.
Love this video. Thank you for making it. Learned a lot.
what a great video from nothing company, seriously didnt expect this, Thanks
Google Pixel is goated because its clean and simple without overly satisfying effects
Nicely done guys, the way its presented, anybody can understand real easy.
This is what I've been telling people, it all depends to your preferences.
Peer pressure is a very real thing.
An awesome content watching after decades may be!
exactly why i love nothing. more than a company, its like a culture
Go to settings, apps, configure apps, 3 dots, other adjustments
And with that in Nothing's mind, hoping to see them create their very own OS. 😊
U might want to involve history here… like how BB were also famous back then because of the community it built BBM. And when they shared it to android, they began loosing the game..(thought it was not the sole reason)
While there maybe many aspects we may want to know why people stick to their preferred phones or OS, one cause might be because of community cultivation.
Companies need also to produce quality phones (every single time) as people’s past “bad” experience might be the reason why they would not purchase.. for instance, i did not have a great experience then using an asus device, so its really blacklisted on my future purchases..😅
- my personal take though 😁😁😁
