This video tutorial explains how to use Excel's autofill feature to automatically create a list of dates. The dates can be made to be sequential, or follow a different pattern such as weekdays, same day every month, same day every year, every 7 days etc.

Liked because you got to the point right off the bat and I did not need to sit through a pointless introduction about who you are.
So true. Hurry up and Let me get back to this money 😂😂
EXACTLY!!!
I was wracking my brain trying to figure out how to do a W/C list every Saturday for 2024 and almost gave up thinking that I would have to enter it in two columns by hand. And then I stumbled upon your video and Voila - in few seconds I got my list. Thanks so very much!
I know short videos aren’t the greatest for UA-camrs, but thank you so much for this one! I KNEW it was a super simple process to get dates to auto update but my mind went blank and I couldn’t remember to use that little + and drag down. THANK YOU! 💞👍😁🌺🐶💞
Glad it was helpful!
THANK YOU! Such an easy solution to something that would have taken me hours to figure out by myself! Thank you for being concise and simple and getting straight to the point and showing several different options.
Awesome, precise information, good pace, and clear to watch. Thank you.
ASMR on this video is through the roof, for anybody out there caring.
Currently at my hospital facility. Trying to figure out how to do fates all the way down in order. THANK U U SAVED US so we can get back to our patients!
Glad I could help!!!
You are the best. Thank you for this excellent video. Others try to teach formulas which can be absurd for someone who just needs a quick way to do it.

You are welcome!
Bless this video, straight to the point
Amazing in less than 3 minutes, you have done great and amazing job. Tremendous job..... Well Done
I wonder why it doesn't work for me. When I try it even with the black cross, it just copies the same date over and over
Hi, I was getting the same result with the function =today(), but once I inserted the date manually, then find the black cross it auto-incremented.
First minute of the video - It doesn't work form me either. I'm trying to fill series to the right. The year is incrementing instead of the day.
@@cardalmc1523 Thank you so much
Best video ive found on excell thanks for being so direct
You're very welcome!
Thank you so much! So grateful to find your video. So easy. I am the w/c lol I will be following you now.😍
Better than the official website because it actually works !
Thank you so much sir😀😀
Thank you so much for the video. I'm following what you are saying, but for some reason when I highlight the two cells that I want repeated (in this instance w/c), it will not give me an autofill option, it just turns my arrow black. When I then pull down, it will just keep repeating the two dates I have put in. I did for Friday dates in a row, highlighted them, arrow turn black and I drag and it will just repeat the exact for dates that I've put in. What am I missing please?
Very helpful thank you so much
So helpful. Managed to create my timesheet. Really appreciate the video, Thank you

Thanks - very helpful!
Thanks for the tutorial. Can you help, why does the Year increase incrementally, and not the Date?
When I follow the tutorial I don't get the same results. I get the year increasing instead of the date and I'm unable to figure this out.
Have you done a video that covers this difficulty?
Thanks in advance.
Sir, you are a life saver. Thank you !
Thanks mate

How do I format for one week increments for "written" day of week format - sat Jan 1 2022 +7 days
Thanks you for this
Good tutorial my brother
Is there keyboard-commands that can do the same?
Great job
You are my savior.. Thank u thaaaank you
I suppose the autofill option is not available for the older versions.
that command is really good to know!!! thank you. is there a command that will get it to read for example November 28th, 2021 instead of just the digitals 11/27/2021 for example
Thank you so much❤️🥰
that was awesome. Thank you so much sr!
What if I need week days sequenced in multiples of 2 or 3? for example MM,TT,WW,THTH,FRFR.
Great information - created timesheets for my department
I don't have the "auto-fill options", instead I have "quick analyze". What should I do?
is there a way to auto fill each box with an entire 7 day week? so as to have week 1 week 2 week 3 sort of thing?
Many thanks, no hype, just explained in a calm manner.
2024 still needed thanks!
Easy and simpler when you explain 🔥💯
I'm struggling to do this across the top of the excel sheet, any tips please?
easily explained. thanks
Thanks man.
How do you populate a review date in advance.
So for example annual review commence 10/08/2022 how would I get the 6 month advance date in the next row?
Not sure if I explained that well.
Thank you so much
Good Tutorial Thank you
Brilliant thank you 🙏
Thank you!!

Help full vedio thank you
I like your video. The 3rd column, week commencement, i tried it on my laptop by selecting both intervals but the white cross couldn't change to black as a result couldn't drag down. Any other method?
THANKS!
Thank you 🙏🏻 saved my life

This saved me a lot of time. Thank you!
Thanks you.... Perfect
Very helpful
What if there are cells between two dates in the same column. How to do it when I want spaces between dates
Thank you very much! 💐 😊
That was a life saver!
i want to type January in one cell and the year 2022 in another cell then I want all 31 days of that month to auto populate in other cells. Is this possible? I want to be able to do this for each month. February only usually has 28 days in a year and so I would like it to know not to go up to 31 days for that month. This would be great if its possible through macros or VBA.
It doesn't work for me. While dragging years are repeating. What to do
