Glad I'm not the only one who likes to do mods where the untrained eye can't see them, and the few who appreciate the work that went into making that happen.
This is only the second video of yours I've seen. I just watched the video where you go over what everything cost. I'm in the market for an e30 at the moment... or maybe an e28, it's a tough choice! Yours is DEFINITELY the classiest, nicest one I've seen so far. I love the paint color, the white engine bay, the burgundy interior, all of it. Seriously well done man!
This is the ideal approach I want to take one day with an E30, same bergundy colour as well, but I'd be more meticulous and go the "luxury" route that modern bmw's are known for, in terms of the materials and dashboard. But I love the decisions you made with it.
When I ordered my seat covers from Lseat, I ordered some extra fabric. Then got a local upholsterer to make up some little door panels that I glued to the door cards
Really appreciate the build I've started working on my interior in the last month.... currently based in Zimbabwe. I also have a black roof lining too and I'm using e46 seats in my car with standard rear seats mines also a coupe
Interior came out really nice bro! Like the way you made the interior stand out with the exterior color. I was going to ask you how you did your heater setup? I’m currently working on this and I’m always open to new ideas. Thanks!
Thanks! I didn’t have a heater in my car, but I was considering using a vintage air heater set up. They have a really small heater that would fit nicely under the e30 dash and just has a vent or feet option
I got a local upholstery guy to do them. Not super hard to do, I ordered some extra material when I ordered my seats, then asked the upholstery guy to make little inserts for the door cards. I glued them in myself
So I cut out a piece of thin panelling to the shape of the inner door panel, then had it upholstered, then glued and pressed that to the stock panel. Easy to do and looks good
I’m sorry I don’t exactly remember how much I used. You can roughly measure your floor pan with a tape measure, also get some for the door panels and even the roof. I like my sound deadening like I like my girls: thiccc. As long as the thickness won’t interfere with the functionality or mounting of anything I would go as thick as possible. It will give you a quiet more comfortable ride
You can mod those radios to invert them and change it to the proper orange. I took mine apart and painted over the unnecessary writing on it to. Looks completely OEM now!
It’s a matter of preference, but ya I think they hold you better. They look a lot more modern than the e30 seats too which was my motivation. Depends on the vibe you’re going for tho
Hey wow! What a nice interior! Question: where did you put the other stuff from the middle section - the AC / fan panel, switches etc? Look amazing just the stereo...
Thank you! Currently the car doesn’t have AC or heat. I set the car up so it could have a heater, but it really doesn’t need one as it’s only a summer car

Great job on the interior. Sooooooo clean! My E30 convertible already has a custom interior, but it's getting raggedy. I'm peeling the vinyl off the cards as we speak. Looks like who ever did the mod didn't remove the original vinyl, just went over it with new vinyl. But, putting another layer of vinyl on the card....meh How did you approach reupholstering the cards?
What I like: every choice. I love the balance between tasteful and popping. Everything works together and it’s beautiful. What I don’t like: you barely showed it. I wanted a rolling interior shot or just flipping the camera to the front from time to time
Awesome car and swap, personally I'm doing what will probably be a turbo stroked to 6.0L ls swap in my fd3s. This car is very nice and clean, props to you both. I only wish(even living in PNW) that you kept the a/c, but that delete plate is a nice addition. I agree on the gouges, I'm looking at custom speedhut set for my car to fit in the factory cluster. I do wish someone made a custom round digital gage that could be personalized but oh well. What are you doing for the factory fd3s dash with the v10?
@@slightlyMADcustoms So I have decided I want to join the E30 Fam but the only issue for me is finding one that is somewhat nearby and in actual semi-running condition any recommendations?

Awesome video man! I was thinking about putting e36 sports seats in my e30 but now I'm certain! Did you make your own brackets since the e36 seats dont fit directly into the e30 or did you buy aftermarket ones?
Thanks! For my car I drilled holes through the floor and welded in studs for the seats, that way they sit as low as possible. But you could make some adapter plates too. I think garagistic sells some seat adapter plates although they’re pretty pricey
