Apparently the Japanese company demanded it, despite protest from Viz and Funimation I’m sure. Cuz they know that fans will get angry cuz they’ll blame the them, not the Japanese company. Plus, it was already known internationally as “Detective Conan”. It’s just a weird thing to change.

Detective Conan has always been and always will be my #1 favorite anime. I love Conan (Shinichi) as a character and how he says that "There is only one truth!" One another being "Do you need a logical reason to help people?" Many are skipping the show or dropping it since it's the longest tv show of all time. But I know that once the story ends people will watch it (probably not the fillers).
