- DaVine Air's air duct cleaning process explained. Dryer vents, registers, HVAC system (blowers, coils, and motor) cleaned and then sanitized.

This was the shittest air duct cleaning I seen 😂
Can you explain the process better
you are jealous!
The right way to do this is to actually use air whips on the return side to knock off any debree that is on the sides. The forward ball is really for supply sides that have trouble getting the air whip down inside. You aren't knocking off anything at all with just using the ball like that. You will get minimal if anything out doing it that way. Also would help if you had a portable negative air machine. I would hate the method you guys do even if it was outside. Way to much stuff to break down after the job.
i was going to hire davine air, but after reading this comment i've decided to hire Triggermans Apex, since he fucking knows everything.
That’s the truth 💪🏻
Sorry for the late reply. You are absolutely right. Although this video doesn't show it, we use a variety of attachments to clean the ductwork including multiple whips configurations (our techs call the 8 whip the Medusa). We also have 5000 cfm electric vacuums that we use when the gas powered equipment can't be used.
You should be using a whip on return ducts and a nylon brush for floor vents instead of positive air.... very icy cleaning. And when you fog you fog from your return not directly into ducts smh.
U are correct
Bro they did a shit job, 6:05 instead of pushing and forcing some of the lint out of the dryer, he literally pushes them more inside, smh that will for sure start a fire.
Smh you obviously don't know what you are talking about
@@fromthecore3691 lmao. I was about to say😂
Joel Sanchez talking out his ass lol
Oh Geez
Yeah wouldn't a back pull method be better then go inside and seperate the dryer vent from the dryer and clean that out from the inside?
I assume This video was for marketing purposes, well let me just say i have cleaned air ducts for over 10
Years and certified by NADCA and I have never seen something like this before. Not the equipment neither the tools but the cleaning process is what concerns me. The tech opened a vent and with a forward ball just blew the dirt towards the return, maybe I’m wrong but I highly doubt it but what happens when you blow High air towards a ceiling return with no vacuum ? Yeah you’ll contamine the house with loose dust and become part of the problem! Trunk lines made of metal or Fiberglass insulation collect a shit lot of debris on the walls that neither a reverse or forward ball wouldn’t even touch , leaving a hugemongus amount of debris still in the system. If you are not using a whip in the ductwork to break lose debris so a vacuum can collect simultaneously, you ain’t cleaning shit. Sorry but your cleaning method is not very efficient. And if you gonna tell me they usually use the appropriate tool then you should delete this video because it’s not serving you at all.
NADCA 😂 I proudly advertise that "I'm not, nor ever will be a member of these clowns"
Guys like shown here keep me booked solid.
Just another company that take advantage of uneducated customers. 🤷♂️
Well fucking said
Took the words right out of my mouth here. This is what people SHOULD read before they get their air ducts cleaned. Most of these idiots and major companies aren't doing it the proper way.
He did not explain how they clean ducts.
Where is the shoe covers dude
You seem like a legit business, but for any homeowner to see any real results from all this work, you need to have camera images of what the duct work looks like, before you clean and after. Just blowing air into the duct work doesn't prove to me that any dirt or dust was even removed. That houses ducts looked pretty darn clean if you ask me(from what I could see). Have you ever inspected a home and tell the owner the ducts were in good shape and they maybe could wait another year or two to maximize any benefit from duct cleaning? Or is it about he buck made that day?
broderp
I concur although it didn't show them cleaning the underside of the coil. if an upflow IDU that's where all the debris is. of down flow it still needs to be cleaned also
Before and after pictures are crucial. I take before and after pictures on ever job. Also make videos :)
Dude, that is low blow but you are indeed making a valid, solid argument!
I have to say that because I'm an intellectual with university education, this is a shit labouring job. The only reason why I'm here right now is because I was offered a job doing this and I turned it down. I've got no regrets at all.
@Gregory Thorson what's the best non toxic disinfectant to use, if I may ask
What the hell does cleaning the top of the A-coil do? Nothing! You need to clean the inside where all the real contaminates are!
The top of that coil is what needs to be cleaned. That is a down flow system, return coming from the top. The coil cleaning solution brings everything out. It soaks to the middle and foams dust and lint to the outside. You typically want to run the system after letting it sit for ten minutes. That way the gunk flows off of the coil and out the condensate line.
@Mighty Forces I think you mean low pressure. Less airflow lowers the refrigerant pressures.
My duct cleaning was from a different place. Sorry don't want anyone mad thinking I was talking about your company
Who knew a clean blower wheel will make it spin faster? What a jibroni! Must be a obsolete type of motor with a clean and dirty setting LOL.
Chances are that they probably use an air compressor hose instead of a brush so that they can keep from having to repair any duct work damage. Not a thorough job because dust has to be knocked loose not blown.
hi, mr. jeremy jones
@@amrakonpothe2537 no
One of many parts that concern me is the way the coils were scrubbed. I bet the fins where destroyed after that.
I own a1 indoor air quality services....this I s an embarrassing 😳 video for hvac contractors who know what they're doing
Can we see your video then? I’m trying to learn something
Guess y’all don’t believe in shoe covers or drop cloths!!
Shouldn't they wear goggles
That shit will eat the paint right off of there and you’re doing that on the customers driveway I’m sorry bud that’s crazy LOL can’t put in the grass either not if you’re going to use coil cleaner and less it’s cut 90%
Get a Pringle truck mount, you will want to go back and clean everything over again. Id dump whoever did this video, you can make a far far better one with an Android phone, go pro and the Quick app.
Did they just leave that hole that they cut in the duct work there?
No it gets covered with an aluminum plate with screws and aluminum tape that way every hole u make is there for next cleaning as well
I see how you clean the furnace but not much on the ducts. Had mine done today. They didn't use the hose with the ball on it. And didn't put a hose all the way down in the ducts. Is that normal?
That’s my question too
You actually need a spinning brush sent down all the length of the duct so the debris can be pushed down the trunk, and eventually into the air scrubber. The compressed air in more like a “rinse” afterwords.
You just vacuum it out , big deal no true cleaning was accomplished
I didn't see any whip on the end of your hose while going in through the vents. You're just blowing air not knocking off all the dust stuck to the duct work
Thank you for your comment. Although not shown in the video, our techs have a couple of different attachments they use to clean the duct work depending on the type of duct work they are cleaning. These include a nozzle with air whips/tubing attached to it with 4, 6 and 8 whips as well as two different attachments that use adjustable plastic and/or wire cable along with the typical forward and reverse attachments. The company that produced this video for us edited out or didn't use that footage. I really appreciate your comment and for taking the time to watch the video. We hope to have more videos coming soon.
Hello, I want to start using the same system as yours and my question is where and how do you empty the bag for collecting dust and waste?
You eat the dust, it’s full of nutrients
I apologize but using air compressor in any home is a lazy and idiotic way to clean and even think that air quality will be better. No way. Also, why not remove the blower from furnace and clean the good old fashion way? Wash cloth and water on the front yard. We all knkw when dust gets blown with air, it ends up everywhere. Dust goes up, then back down. It's not like it disappears. I appreciate the professionalism but com on. That coil was new. Haha. You're welcome for me comment.
I think they’re using negative air pressure. When used correctly, all of the dust and debris will go into their system and will not blow out the vents.
They obviously made this video so customers think they're doing an honest and good job when they really aren't.
Get yerself a $40 USD endoscope and look in your ducts. The cold air returns may have some dust, etc., but if you change your filters (and get good filters) you shouldn't see much if anything in the output side.
Im assuming the chemicals are not safe to be around so im guessing id have to leave the house and take my pets. For how long?
We Live in MARYLAND. LOL
How are yall in business? Its a shame you guys are coming in putting on a show and taking advantage of people. How the hell was your suction suppose to work if you have a gap around the hose?
Thanks for the video. I wanted to know what was typically cleaned when hiring someone to do air duct cleaning.
it's the ducts. the ducts are cleaned when you hire someone to do air duct cleaning. you stupid asshole.
I’d like to know too
This is nothing but SMOKE AND MIRRORS!
SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES
This is complete horseshit. Not legit way to clean ductwork.
If anyone need duct cleaning send me msg we do duct cleaning at los angeles and near by cities
I walked by a deli department in sobeys and got exposed to that duct air cleaning the next day I had a chest cold coughing up phlegm, called the manager from sobeys he said I would be ok! is he lying? will I get lung disease or lung cancer now? they was cleaning the deli vent!
tombear31 are you being serious? Do you realize how much shit you breathe in every single day that's 100× worse than that? I mean seriously I'm pretty sure some dust from a vent cleaning isn't going to kill you lol
Looks like a Saturday night live skit, like a comedy show. Pretty funny 😂
Where can you get that long flexible air hose?
They don't have any shoe covers on
How to get an item out the vent if it fell
Cut the duct
It’s funny I just googled an article and the EPA said that clean your air ducks does not even one iota make a difference of the air quality in your house they said they done extensive studies on it it does nothing
And you believe the FDA? ... My experience, as an asthmatic, is this: the crap pulled out (pet dander, dust, etc. ) exhaborates my issues. Keeping them sucked clean keeps me breathing better. I don't care what the FDA says. Works for me.
Checking wrong side of coil
Be aware those tubes are hella dirty. Cover your floors.
How dare you talk about my florets! That's my business you pervert!

Penitentiaries. Incarceration centers. The big house.😀😀
You didn't clean the inside of the evap coil.
They didn’t do anything lmao
They don’t have the right equipment, they can’t even reach the inside of the coils
You didn't do a very good job you should be using a rotary brush and high power vacuum inside every air duct. Its also a good idea to fog every air duct.
What product do you use to fog?
You only fog returns dummy
0:30 "We're gonna tear apart your furnace and get started on it." LOL
@ David Hart: Sounded strange to me also & I’m just a regular consumer.

Are any of these guys licensed Hvac contractors?
No way lol
No.different
this is the second video i watched. im wondering is there an updated version. this video was made in 2016. i watched a more recent one. this video provided insight and help me to understand the process
I know they do it via a new system now, it's a much smaller machine they put in your furnace room. Everything else remains the same.
standard robbery service
What about under coil
Thank you your video was very help in one of my projects keep up the great work.
You breathe what the supply blows and the returns take away the the existing air temperatures you dont want...so basically if you run a good filter...(aprilaire) or any good sealing four inch media filter you will be breathing in clean air without unnecessary services like this... especially if they are not showing you your ducts with a camera...guarantee they didn't do too much
I agree although it's still better and safer to have the vents cleaned every 6-7 years. I do clean them for a living and I love it, but I also see so many people who don't need them cleaned but im not the boss so I just do my job. If people just realized a pricey filter is a good filter, id be happy. Most customers have the cheapest stuff you can find and then they want to pay big bucks for us to come in and clean the system. It makes no sense. We even tell them.. pay for a better filter and you won't need us.
What is the cost?
I just paid $500 for about 12 ducts. 1000 sq ft house
Dryer vent still looks just as dirty
Are there any decency anymore. I'm trying to find an honest one.
Hector Cruz where are you located?
Should of pulled the coil
should have not should of

Theres so many things they are doing wrong. I feel bad for their clients

These kids are out working and trying, what are you doing? Let's see your video big mouth!
@@harmonsteamway7222 so because they are trying and doing a shit job they can't be criticized?
They are literally stealing peoples money because they aren't cleaning the ducts at all.
