Testing Ask Jeff Williams Rocks For Gold

  • Testing some gold ore from ‪@Askjeffwilliams‬ gold mine from our previous collab. Jeff sent up four bags of ore and was interested to sample and assay them to determine how much gold was in each sample. In this video I take the "run of mine" sample and test it both for gravity recovery as well as smelting and determine the amount of gold recovery for each sample. Stay tuned for the super rich stuff coming up soon!

    thats great Jason , really loved your assay take on how you got your numbers for the samples...... we new the upper raise was lower grade Gold content when we first sampled it and now we know what we are looking at ....... thanks so much for taking the time to run the material and get the numbers but you know we are chomping at the bit to find out what the High grade numbers are and how they compare with what Max got . We smashed that like button real Hard and try to stay dry up there .... hope to see ya soon . Thanks

    Hi Jason, I'm the old timer that used to "work" there. I was the assayer for a few years off and on. I've never assayed for a metric tonne as most assays here are done standard. As there are 29,167 troy ounces p/t we always use 29.167 grams. Every milligram recovered would equal 1 oz. p/t. So to convert back to a standard ton I would assume (and I don't like that word) that you would have to subtract .9 grams off your 90 grams recovered, to get a true assay ton. I also have another question for you: "How much did your lead assay? In other words , have you run a blank assay on it? Why such a small amount of litharge on the assay? We normally add like 25-30 grams in a one assay ton assay. I'm sure you'll find that ore quite unique and very rich. When you part your beads, check and see if you have a faint green color in the solution. It's not copper. Good luck with milling that stuff. The amount of floatie gold will blow your mind. Glad Jeff got hooked up with you. Your both in for even a bigger surprise if what i was told is true. And i got one more thing that i haven't even shared with Jeff yet. Till next time; may all your days be golden!

      @@richardbeee hi Richard thanks for the info. I found the natural lead in the ore is like a collector metal. Wulfenite looks like gold too. I thought I had a bunch of gold but melted it down and had a big lead button. Use a cupel and got the lead out and came out with 8 grams of gold from 34 lbs of ore. There must be some silver in my button because it’s not bright yellow.

    • @richardbeee
      @richardbeee 2 роки тому +5

      @@short-fuse So Max, that comes out to 15.181 ounces per ton. Was that on the high-grade?

    • @richardbeee
      @richardbeee 2 роки тому +7

      You did right on using the lead that is already in the ore. I used to do the same. If you can't part the bead get some pure silver inquart, Your ratio should be at least 4 Ag to 1 Au, Remelt/cupel and part. This will give you "pure" gold weight. However, on parting pay attention to the color of the solution. Any kind of green is what you want. I'm not trying to be a smart *ss to anyone, just want to make sure Jeff gets good and accurate information. I really want to see him go over the top. This stuff is like none that was ever mined in that area. There's more that i haven't even told Jeff yet.

    Welp, I guess I'll be obsessively checking every single notification that pops up on my phone until the next video drops, lol.
    I've come to the conclusion that Jeff is either extremely good at tricking everybody by planting gold a few hours before he brings folks in to search with him, he's a time traveler that has gone back in time and planted gold in areas or just looks for gold and leaves it there knowing he can come and get it in a couple million years to "find" it, or he's a legitimate gold whisperer who can track and find gold by listening to and smelling it no matter how far he is away from it. I think the first two I mentioned are obviously not true, although you never know about the time machine cuz the man is incredibly smart, lol. Which means he's very clearly and obviously a gold whisperer. There's legitimately no other explanation at this point. One hell of a friend /business partner to have on your side. Lol. (I'm not implying that he's business partners with Jason or anything... It was an all-inclusive "your side.")
    Quick Edit: I just wanted to clarify and reiterate that I do not believe that Jeff is hiding or stashing gold to find later on camera. It was clearly a joke, and I thought that others had picked up on it as well... It's possible that they did but it is also possible that there are those out there who did not realize I was kidding. So, just in case I felt it necessary to clarify one more time. Thanks guys!

      Jeff smells gold and can find it in his sleep. ;D
      Way too smart to be a circus act. His geology knowledge is off the charts. No way he puts that much time and effort into trying to "create" a façade. That would take more work than what he is already doing in reality.
      Last but not least. The areas that Jeff takes people into to look for gold are the highest level of gold places in the USA. Alaska is next then Colorado.

    • @three6ohchris
      @three6ohchris 2 роки тому +2

      @@wilsonrawlin8547 oh for sure, I totally 100% agree with you. I hope it didn't come across to folks as if I were saying or insinuating that Jeff could potentially be doing something like that and faking his finds. There's absolutely no way in hell he could be doing that. The man is absolutely the GOAT of geology. I wish I knew half of the stuff he does when it comes to geological formations, rock types, and all of the terms, etc. He's definitely a gold whisperer. LOL. He surprises me and others as well I'm sure, often with his ability to simply see the types of rocks and formations that exist in a spot, and he will get around a bit and find gold pretty much every time. One of the best teachers about gold and where to find it out there, for sure. Not to mention mines and the equipment they used, etc. A downright amazing and intelligent individual. 🙏

    Hi Jason, you ever contacted George Wiseman at Eagle Research. Jeff could possibly triple his value of ore by processing it with Browns Gas. Would make for a great experiment!
    Vastly Increase Recoverable Ore
    In tests conducted by several mines, Brown’s Gas treated ore allowed recovery of up to three times more mineral. Brown’s Gas can be used to treat waste dumps of obsolete mines, recovering more mineral than the mine originally produced. Again, this application is worth billions of dollars.

    Jason, I think I mentioned this, but I think a collab with you and Sreetips (youtube channel) would be interesting. You two have different recovery methods, but similar enough I think it would be interesting and you may be able to cut multiple videos from it as well.

    I wonder of some of the pan concentrate was silver minerals. They are often black. Since you were trying to separate them during panning that would result in higher Au/Ag ratio. Whereas the smelt would have kept all that silver, and apparently retained a lot more gold as well. There must eb a lot of super fine gold in that stuff.

    good idea to have a good dust collector u can lose gold in sample.harbor freight has a decent one. Keep up the great work !

    It sounds like a hard trade off between lower yield gold with panning and higher yield gold/silver with the more expensive smelting process. Interesting analysis.

    Wow! I'm watching you pan off the dust and I'm even speechless. We never see gold like that in the PNW. It's nuts

    Jason, my claim has lots of fine gold dust with iron dust, really fine dust (about one level teaspoon for every five buckets of overburden). I'm not down to bedrock, but I'd like to recover this dust as I proceed down. It's all hand dug and hand panned, so far. Bedrock is about 20 feet below where I am currently digging. My neighboring mines are ignoring this fine gold dust, for now, and they're just going after the small nuggets near the bedrock. The iron oxide/sulfide dust that is traveling with the gold dust appears to be just as small as the gold in size. That's my problem; I'm having difficulty separating the two in a pan and the gold is so fine that even a magnet doesn't seem to select only the iron. And, "yes" I'm using Dawn dish detergent. So, my question to you, Jason, is: "Would a shaker table be able to separate the iron from the gold when the pieces are this tiny? I could send you a cup, or so, of his mixture but I don't know if that would be enough to test it on a shaker table? Your thoughts? I don't want to get involved with cyanide. I truly love this video, and your others, of course.
