Many people feel detached to some extent from the players since a good majority of them are from parts of the world we know little about, but NYXL unites us in an insane way. It's not about whether they are Korean or American like we often make it out to be with our sense of American nationalism. I'm proud that I am represented by these guys. We often forget that people who don't speak English 100% of the time are, in fact, still people. These videos give us such an awesome way to connect with the players on a purely human level. I love it.
Surprisingly most of these former LW Blue guys seem to be academically acomplished. Contrast that to Miro for examply who is known to be cute, kind and dumb as a door

Pastor Hass yup. It happened with London Spitfire too. In that case they actually brought TWO team rosters from the Korean league (kongdoo panthera and gc busan) and call them all London spitfire. They even alternate the whole roster for spitfire for different games. Almost like having an A team and B team. So essentially 3 of the OWL teams (NY, London, and then Seoul) are just Korean teams taken from APEX.
