Holy crap man. This was one of the first songs i ever learned. Spent six hours straight on it back in high school just plucking away. Could NEVER find a source on that outro but always use this as an idle plucking song. That was ages ago but you've just inspired me to give it a go again. Played this for my dad when he had cancer and he found it so soothing. Looking forward to finally having it figured all the way out. Thanks soooo much man.

Didn't notice the hours going by practicing. So fun to play. Thank you so much for teaching this! As I still have to get rid of my swimming skin between my fingers I play B11 instead of open e when it comes to to C in the first part. My lazy brain doesnt even have to adjust the picking..

thanks very much. the picking looked very daunting but now i realise it's actually very straightforward, all i have to do is put some time into practicing the song. shame you didn't include the licks that play over the chorus towards the end, hopefully i can just go by ear but frusciante often baffles me. awesome video though :)

Taking a little break from putting hot red chili peppers on dehydrator trays to try and learn some Red Hot Chili Peppers. It's clearly going to be peppery hot red chili Saturday.
