Hola Nicolas, soy de Chile, el lugar de donde viene el pisco ;). Pero estuve de intercambio en Lima y su comida es increible, tienen mucha varidad vegana tambien
oh my god i think i screamed my way through this video i was so excited!!!! i studied in lima but am vegan now and living in chile, cannot wait to make all of these bomb looking recipes!!! gracias nico
Nicolás is my roommate and he truly makes the most delicious food! I’m not vegan, but his cooking might convert me! Give his recipes a try, you won’t be disappointed!
I am really enjoying this series. I love seeing you guys highlight vegan versions of authentic dishes from different cultures, as well featuring content creators from those cultures. So many cultures are under represented or poorly represented in media, the vegan food space is no exception. It’s inspiring to see you both use your platform in such a positive and impactful way.
Seco de cabrito, papa a la huancaina, lomo saltado, cebiche and so on. The food varies from coast, mountain and jungle. I prepare peruvian food most of the time, my family and friends love it. Thank you guys for promoting our peruvian food.
OMG! Thank you so much for this video! I’m half Peruvian and I’ve been looking for ways to feel closer to my culture and it’s been hard to know which vegan versions of certain dishes are best - I’m definitely going to check out Nicolas’ blog and try some of these recipes! 💖
Love it!!! Hi from Lima. Vegan Pisco Sour, Wow! Nicolas amazing ideas!! I will make Pan con chicharron on sunday as it is a traditionally sunday's breakfast. Well done! Lo máximo! Love this episode and your channel @SweetSimpleVegan. Thanks for sharing your wisdom. ❤
I just LOVE LOVE this series of yours! Honestly, the best food-related series on UA-cam! Exploring new cuisines and cultures, getting to know more fantastic creators and being inspired to experiment more in the kitchen makes these videos my all time favourite! And I adore the fact you can support some smaller creators through these collaborations! Just so wholesome, inspiring and interesting! . Lots and lots of love for you guys! Stay safe and have a great rest of the week!
I love this series!! Thank you for giving other content creators the opportunity to collaborate with y'all and get more exposure! Btw, adding some bitters to hot apple cider, or into some ginger beer over ice with lime is the way I use it besides cocktails.
You two are so respectful towards the Peruvian culture🌻 It was such a great idea to get a Peruvian content creator involved🌱 I love your channel. Love from South Africa🇿🇦
As literally the only vegetarian Peruvian amongst my mates, I'm so grateful your parents gave birth to both of you. You guys are bloody legends, I never thought this could exist. Cheers guys!
Made the arroz chaufa last night for dinner. Everyone from my toddler to my picky boyfriend loved it! Going to try making it with a chicken fillet type substitute next, that’s how my stepmom always made it.
So excited to see this video pop up! I’m Peruvian and love veganizing my fav dishes. My go tos are ceviche (heart of palm instead of fish) and lomo saltado (subbing crispy chick peas for steak). Looking forward to more of this series 🤗🤗
With the bitters try making a bajan rum punch 🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧 1 oz sour (lime juice) 2 oz sweet (simple syrup) 3 oz strong (rum) 4 oz weak (water) Sir all together and top with a few shakes of bitters! So good!
I have been hesitant to try Peruvian food because I didn't know if it was vegan-friendly. I am excited to try these recipes. Thank you and Thanks to Nicolás!
I was so excited to see you guys make vegan Peruvian food! I went vegan 3 years ago and was so sad that I couldn’t have traditional Peruvian food anymore. However, some food experiments changed that! I’m so excited with all the advances vegan food has been able to do. I hope you guys do a part 2 because there is sooooo much more to explore!
I was lucky enough to get to spend 10 days in Peru a couple of years ago. What a beautiful, amazing country! I loved this video, although I was really hoping for some vegan ceviche. Definitely going to make that sandwich!
I can't wait to try all the recipes. Everything looked so good! Chris's shaking bit was hilarious 🤣 That cocktail would be dangerous. Back in the 80's I had a yummy cocktail called a Singapore Sling. They went down waaayyyy too easy!!
I love this series! I love trying new foods and this is a great way to learn about other cultures and you never know when you might stumble across your new favorite dish 🙂 I'd love to see you do Korean foods. Rose from Cheap Lazy Vegan has some amazing recipes
Great video Jasmine and Chris and recipes it was a great idea to do a video with Nicolas Peruvian vegan food. I have never tried Peruvian vegan food but would give it a go because I am not partial as long it's vegan I will eat it. Love the video and sending love to Jasmine, Chris and Nicolas.

I love this series! Everything you made looked bomb and I don't think that vegan steak was as bad as you thought it was, it looked fine to me haha. Was also dying at Chris' cocktail dance 🤣🤣🤣
Everything looks delicious! Pisco sours are so dangerous because it's hard to taste the alcohol- I was warned not to have more than one by a Peruvian friend. ;-) They are so refreshing and tasty!

I am Peruvian also and seeing this is so cool. But I would love to suggest that Nicolas makes a recipe for vegan Alfajorés or vegan lomo saltado.
yes!!! so good
vegan alfajorés please!!!!
If you replace the meat in lomo saltado with some sliced meaty mushrooms and some extra oil, its pretty much vegan :).
I love this series!! Thank you for giving other content creators the opportunity to collaborate with y'all and get more exposure! Btw, adding some bitters to hot apple cider, or into some ginger beer over ice with lime is the way I use it besides cocktails.

With the bitters try making a bajan rum punch 🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧
1 oz sour (lime juice)
2 oz sweet (simple syrup)
3 oz strong (rum)

Sir all together and top with a few shakes of bitters! So good!

I've never tried Peruvian food but your reactions to the recipes have me curious! I'm excited to give them a go! 😊
I have been hesitant to try Peruvian food because I didn't know if it was vegan-friendly. I am excited to try these recipes.
