“man, I really love that story about the rando guardsman who showed even a single lowly guardsman could stand up to the gods themselves enough to make a difference. anyway let’s make him cool and special and different from the rest.” feh, Emperor TTS actually knew why that story worked.
Honestly I think it'd be fine if just the emperor was a perpetual, like he's a random freak of nature and it makes him "surviving" as a decaying sentient corpse that much more interesting.
I never minded the fact that Vulcan was a perpetual either, just because both him and the emperor are characters outside of the fact that they are both essentially immortal That's kind of the problem with these random schmuks - their only real thing going for them is the fact they invented baseball 28k years ago or something
I just watched a clip where Ben first told Tom about the look-out-sir guy, and it included the part that he might have been a never die! Ben got him with a story he already told him and both of them forgot! That's amazing
Honestly, I feel we are this close to GW saying that Ollanius was fucking DB Cooper, it's seriously desperate. Also how is this Never Dies bullshit canon, but an actually kind of intriguing concept like the Sensei, which in very old lore used to be basically a clan of descendants of actual biological children the Emperor had with like various mortal women over the ages, who had heightened psychic potential and really long lifespans, and who kind of work against people like the Ecclesiarchy behind the scenes of the Imperium, is not. Like yeah, the name "Sensei" was stupid, but the rest definitely isn't dumber than having a whole gaggle of Perpetuals running around for the entirety of human history without accomplishing anything.
Vomit 14 times, specifically mentioning vomitting into mouths, really sounds like writers barely diguised fetish.

My favourite Never Die is Dong Dong.
Dong Dong WILL never die because he's john connor and we need him to save us from skynet

Lorehammer is my favorite game
8:20 the odyssey on theseus ship? Something ain't right
Yeah he means the Argonautica
It’s from the same story where Perseus kills the Trojan Horse in the labyrinth.
well that went from nurgle to slanesh real quick.
I really like the enuncia bit, but traitor perpetual backstory seems entirely unnecessary
I actually quite like the never dies because it's the only bit of the heresy that wasn't just a very drawn about version of the lore we already knew
I.e. interesting by Horus heresy standards, not by normal book standards
Watching these clips is Vod gobbo roulette. Will they start talking about sex or not?
Eternals seemed like a safe bet, but I lost again. 🍀
YESSS!!!
deeeat
03:48 Looks like Tom is doing something else.
Like he's not wanking? Or what?
@@dermathze700 Nooo, Tom wouldn't make such a rude gesture.
The Tom in my fan fiction would.
The Emperor is interesting as a Perpetual.
All the rest are trash.
Its like watching a magician do the same exact trick 40 times in a row.
