Does this bring back memories for me. In the 1970's, I actively made quite a number of custom rifles using only the finest Greek walnut 4AAAA grade prurchased from Fajen, using the Ruger No. 1 action. These were a labour of love for me and I spent thousands of wonderful hours doing those things on the video you make look so easy (they are not). I also enjoyed the pleasure their new owners got from them
Thank you for the finest and most memorable 15 min video I have seen in a long, long time. My hat is off to your sir...may you enjoy the well earned title.."master craftsman".. Sign each firearm with pride and God bless
Sadly not many craftsman like you left Mr Roberts. You are one amazing gunsmith, and not an ensembler of parts. I really hope you can post more videos. Gives us endless pleasure watching a craftsman applying his art.
Thank you for your very kind words!
In a world focused on plastic guns and instant gratification, it’s a joy to see old world craftsmanship. You make it look easy and fast. It’s not. I hope to get my shop running again shortly. I miss the peace and calm that this type of craftsmanship brings.
In the age of polymer and fiberglass/carbon fiber, it makes me happy to see someone still has the skills to custom produce a gorgeous stock from wood like this. Beautiful Matt!
Thanks James!

Wow...what a gift you had...
Youve made beauty with amazing beast inside combined perfectly.
GOD Bless You Sir
Work of Art . It being a 300 H&H makes it extra special
Thanks! Im a big fan of the cartridge as well
This is extremely impressive. All of the work here is of the highest standard. The tolerances of the inletting are extremely tight and that fore end wrap around pattern is NOT easy to do. I can only wish to be this good one day. Congratulations that you have reached this skill level.
Amazing work! I hope we will see a lot more of your craftsmanship.
Beautifully done, thanks for showing us.
The craftsmanship is exquisite. Thank you for sharing.
Incredible! Thanks for documenting your artistry.
Darned impressive work and a beautiful piece of art when you finished it!
You sir are a true craftsman. Glad to have you working on my rifles
Thanks Chris! Looking forward to the H&H project.

It's my belief, MNR is the proverbial secret to Magnificent Domestic Builds.
Beautiful job.
Beautiful work ! I was curious if the drilling jig is your design/manufacture?
Absolutely gorgeous stock on my favorite caliber. Gave m70, 1955, to grandson.
Thanks! That's a great gift that will be cherished for a lifetime.
Just gorgeous...
All I can say is "WOW". Now if you would build an 8x64S :) . Thanks for sharing that.
TRUE ART.
Amazing! He made that stock in just over 16 minutes!
🤣
Very nice work I appreciate the video
What an incredible work of art. You make the most gorgeous rifles I think I’ve ever seen. I’m so glad this level of craftsmanship still exists in these times. Which type of walnut was this one made from?
Thank you! It's English walnut.
@@mnrcustomllc8253 Absolutely stunning.
Beautiful
Very Nicely Done!!
Splendide !
Prachtig, zo mooi
Beatiful 😍
They don't make firearms , they create works of art. Functionality and beauty not to mention dependability and history.
Sadly a bit over my budget.
beautiful work
OK so you are wet sanding the stock with finish to what grit paper ? At what point do you switch to hand rubbing the finish on ? What brand finish ? Terrific results .
Thanks
Hey Freddy, I wet sand with 320 grit until the pores are filled (around 6-8 applications), then once at 400 and once at 600. Then hand rub multiple coats (this one was around 20) occasionally going back and wet sanding with 600 grit. I used Timberlux on this project. Can't recommend it enough. Thank you!
👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
So beautiful

Hi bro.. I like that gun, had serial number is? How much cost is it in USD to MYR?
Real Craftsmanship! Outstanding!
So many questions what kind of oil finish and where do you get your checkering tools at.
Timberlux is the finish I've been using lately. Checkering tools from Ullman Precision.
Can you please tell me which wood is this?
Koliko bi koštao takav kundak sa svim zavrsnim radovima? Dali je moguca dostava za Hrvatsku?
Where are you at ?
where can i buy it
