Very cool! Maybe you watch Lee Skylar’s road videos. His are more venue focused, but us guitar guys love the rig rundowns. Anything backstage and/or videos of life on the road as a pro musician are extremely interesting and entertaining. Obviously, the lessons are great too. Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
What a great video! Love seeing what you do, behind the scenes, and your guitars! That Sara Smile solo was amazing ❤️ Thanks for all you do, Shane! #thebest
Great rig rundown, thanks, Shane. So cool the see the backstage happenings. Wonderful tour and any rendition of your delivery of “Sara’s Smile” tears the feelings of the heart … it’s so special. Enjoy a nice Thanksgiving and thanks again for this music treat.
Hey Shane! I actually know you from A.I.M from way back in 91 (I think). Unfortunately for me I only had 2 classes or so with you, then one day we came to class and I think Nite Driscoll came in and said you left to go on tour with Johnny Cash (correct me if I'm wrong on that). I had great times at A.I.M.and learned a lot. Now all these years later we have UA-cam, and what a blessing that has been for all of us. Anyway, I ran across your channel and subscribed about a month or so ago. I really enjoy it!. Thanks for all you do for us mere mortals lol. Very happy for your current and future success.
This is a cool behind the scenes of what you are fortunate to be a part of, thanks for sharing your work and gear. Great solo there Shane! It make me smile to see that ES 335 being used properly 🎶. Happy Thanksgiving. Keith O.
Consummate professional🙏 Excellent solo 👍 Always in the corner of my mind that you filled in playing bass for Larry Carlton with very short notice. [If I'm not mistaken]. Professionals seem to embrace pressure lol 😆
Thanks for the tour, ST. Work all the talk of low stage volumes and silent stages with IEMs how are you able to run such loud amps? It must feel great on stage to have that much juice.
thanks! No low stage volumes on this gig haha. When we were doing arenas (Hall AND Oates) Daryl was using two Twins! Volume has never been an issue but I keep it relative to everything else on stage. I REALLY really hate in- ear monitors (they kill the tone of the guitar) but need them more for BGV's. A few guys in the band use them but Daryl is old school- wedges. I have both.
Great "Rig Rundown"! I love the idea that you play an improvised solo every night on "Sarah Smiles". Is this a typical approach to your solos..? It's something we need to know. :0) Cheers from Montreal! - Glenn
thanks! I try whenever I can get away with it- but of course some songs require some of the "signature solos and licks" so I honor those (but sometimes with a little twist. )
This was so cool, Shane .. thanks!
thanks!
Been following you since the early days, Appreciate the backstage look! What a seat you have!
Thanks for following along! Glad you enjoyed the tour.

Amazing, Shane! So great to see all the ins and outs on tour!! I love everything about this! Thanks so much for sharing this with us!!! 💙💙
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the look at your rig Shane! I've always loved the sound of those old metal front Boogie cabs, with the half open/half closed back.
thx. i forgot to mention that with the Bassman I also use a Bogner 2x12 with Vintage 30s too.
@@TheRiotguitar Nice!
That's cool that Daryl gives you guys that freedom to vamp. Thanks for the rundown Shane!
Thanks for sharing Shane
fantastic, Shane! Thanks and happy t'giving!
thanks for watching! Happy Thanksgiving
Class playing Shane. The RC booster is a great pedal. I’ve been using one of them for years. Thanks for letting us get a wee insight to your rig
You bet
So cool !! Thanks for sharing with us 🤩
Thx Shane!
Love it❣️
Merci Monsieur Thériot Thanks for sharing!

yes like one nights notice haha. I'm kinda used to pressure at this point, there's been a lot of those kinda situations. Thanks for watching!
@TheRiotguitar I'm enjoying your Truefire courses too! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you for sharing! Mighty cool Howard Jones on the same bill as Daryl.
What speakers are in that Mesa 212?

@ Thank you.

Thanks, nice rundown, how about strings and picks?
d'addario strings 10-46 and either heavy or medium fender style picks....depends on what I'm doing.
Nice rig and playing! Thanks for sharing. It looked like your PRS neck pup is installed backwards. Is that on purpose for tone?
the person that put those in for me did that and I liked the way it sounded so it's been like that for years
At 3:54, what's the theory with what looks like a Fender twin in a box angled up? Is that yours?
No it's Daryls. Simple theory there.... it's just because it's turned up to about 7 and keeps the volume from bleeding into the vocal mic....

Great. It's good to know that even when honouring the original, you can twist it a little to your playing style. Thanks!
Thanks for the video! Are some of the pedals in the Soldano’s fx loop ?
yes the delays and verb
you should go total 80's rig -rockmans upon rockmans in a rack
i should!
What model was the T-style hamer at the beginning of the video?
