im so glad you got this. i think you have very similar taste in synth timbre/character as i do. the stuff you make on cycles is perfect. and i've always wanted the pluto for its unique kind of modern casio-style phase distorted lofi fizzy character. sounds a little like the tg-33 or something and the polymetric sequencer is very cool
thank you! I've wanted this for a year and finally got. now I'm confused with its complicated sequencer but I'm gonna use this with m:c, it would be great.
@@epow6oow same. i guess after i missed the initial batch when it was first released, i kind of forgot about it. but it does seem to hit a lot of the components i look for in hardware
idk what this is or how it got on my recomendations but a like it. I'm no expert synth head but I think it's kinda funny this video has "modern sounds" on it's title cause it kinda sounds 80ish to me. Like the classic casio cz line. Cool impro too 👌🏻
Change key/scale with the gray knob bottom right. no leds on means no quantization, and various combos of those three leds means the steps in both sequencers will be quantized to that scale. It's all explained and mapped out in the digital manual on the website. This was my first toe dip into modular synthesis and I've been extremely happy with it.
well I think those scales are guantized in the key of C. I want to change the key like BMajor, E minor etc. with pluto itself, without a midi keyboard. maybe there are no way to do this I wish modern sounds update this feature. anyway Pluto is so good as it melt my time...🫠
I've been slowly exploring - there's a lot to explore... however... I'm already yearning for microtones... even though I can get some decent "dissonance". I'm going to ask them for the option. Else - it's "adorably" fun. Also - wouldn't mind some TRUE percussion engine on the 2nd oscillator. That could be wicked fun!
