Could you do rome total war?
You have been the only UA-camr that I've seen that has had a CoC sponsor in 3y how the fuck?
at least place the right music ua-cam.com/video/HuvK9ad5RwU/v-deo.html
Fun fact: The bloke who did the french geneal's voice also voiced Napoleon in Napoleon Total War and Charlemagne in the Attila expansion.
He also sounds like king Louen in ttw
@@skandermarsit9142
He did that character as well
Also fun fact the guy who did the Scottish general voices is Graham McTavish

France: "I wouldn't say saved. More like under new management"
Ah a Megamind enjoyer, I didn't expect it. Noice 😌👌
the French conquer Ireland.
I feel like they would be better than the English
Well France was Catholic after the reformation while Englands poor treatment of the Irish truly began when they became violently anti-Catholic, especially after Cromwell. Id say France would be the kinder master.
We conquered you...I mean we liberated you

CANNONS GO BRRRRR
@@Pilps 😂
@@Pilps Needs to do the Attlia experience then Ill say he is King of Total War -_0
M2TW is one of the easiest TW tho.
@@Pilps I have reloaded the cannons sire
And then the Kingdom of France lasted a very long time and had no revolutions ever.
Honhonhoooooonnnn!!!
@@Pilps
Hoooohoohoooon!
There is always a reason to do a revolution, rule n°1 of the French
To be fair... Edward of York, Oliver Cromwell, William of Orange and Charles Stuart did were very much into revolutions in Britain before it was en vogue in France ;)
No dynastic usurpations no revolutions and no collapses of republics.
13:29 What I remember about the rise of France is... is how quiet it was. During the waning hours of the English War, the Legion was discreetly transferred back to Ireland. It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the ship to Ireland, not when Order "Betray the Pawns" came down, and not when we marched into Dublin.
Not a word.
Nice Battlefront II reference there buddy
@@MrShadowDE cheers! The footage and music from 13:29 are so similar to the Knightfall cutscenes it almost feels purposeful
OG Battlefront II will always have my heart
Artillery in MTW2 is perfect. You just point at a target and it just destroys it. Also love all of the large battles that you can get. If only the AI was slightly more competent 😢
Yeah love the old games compared to the newer ones!
best part about arty were all the sounds they made for them even wooden artillery you can hear the creaking of the wood as extreme forces exerted by the loading and firing process some of the best sound design in the tw franchise
My dad played the original Shogun TW and I play NTW

The English: Ready to Agincourt the French with their longbows.
The French, who just realized the full potential of gunpowder: *S H A M E*
PATAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Or maybe the French realised that maybe they should just flank the bowmen with their superior horse Calvary, turns out people die when you get charged with a heavy armour on horse power.
*laughs in super Bureau bros*
Nothing but shame.
@@breakerdawn8429 Or ambush the bowmen before they ambush you like in Patay.
Seeing the French use cannons makes me want a Napoleon Total War Experience series
You can only wish CA announced Empire 2.
@@victuzhey, Napoleon isn’t a bad game. Yes, it’s in roughly the same period as empire, and is quite similar in gameplay, but by itself it isn’t a bad game in the slightest, and I would argue it is just different enough from empire to warrant its own game. I do wish it was as expansive as empire tho.
As a Frenchman, seeing London falling to French troops brings tears of joy to my froggy heart 🥲
HON HON HOOOOOOOON!!

Followed by a "HON HON HOOOOOOOOONNNN"
3D motion tracking? You're really pulling out all the stops out dude! Nice work.
Haha thank you! This was with mixamo! Would highly recommend! Thank you 😎
Yo guiden love your bannerlord videos
If a country pisses off the French, they receive the baguette special. (PS so happy my suggestion for the baguette made it into the video)

A true french cannot have such hard baguette, it's impossible. Yet, bread as pain, such a fitting translation.. I'm having a great internal debate as a french because this is really funny but man, the pain is hard, and i can't take it lmao
@@Commodor221 i'm french, what do you mean by saying, the baguette so hard ?
The redone introduction as opposed to the same old introduction everyone has in M2TW just blew me away!
Thank you so much! It was really fun to do!
England and France is truly the best rival to lovers story.
You could also argue the only reason British became a sea fearing powerhouse was because of the French.
Would love to see a Third Age Reforged version of these. The Isengard Experience, the Easterling Experience etc...
It would indeed be awesome, but you not what would be cooler ?… a divid and conquer run ! (even if mod is still being updated from time to time)

Yep, that sums up France's History perfectly
How to play as the French. Always start with your cavalry.
The rest can sit there doing nothing.
Finally, a mod that adds back in Ireland!
Was so bummed when Stainless Steel removed Ireland from their roster.
What mod is it?
This is a late reply but it is in description of the video, im on mobile so can't copy it
"God fights on the side with the best artillery." - Napoleon Bonaparte.
The book intro has to be the best thing I've seen in a while, beautiful introduction to the french experience. Wow
This was one of your best videos yet, Pilps. Napoleon would be proud! (Especially for managing to do the NTW intro 800 years earlier)
That awkward moment when longbows appear more often in French armies than English ones (Scots Guard is a cool unit :D)
The old pike and shot half way through. Very nice.
“Good, that’s one less loose end.” France to Wales and Ireland
As a frenchman, this content makes my heart sing. May saint denis preserve you
Idk how you're making those 3D models but they add so much to the content haha
Thank you so much! I think so too! I plan on letting people know how in my 100k special video!
You know, people tend to forget, because of the whole "haha french surrender" meme, that for centuries, France was one of the strongest and most militarily successful countries in European history.
Thank the Brits and Americans for that.
@@amongdrip8073
Mostly the american tbh
For all the french and british being frenemies, I don’t think the french surrender joke wad popularized by them, but by the US because of Bush and the whole freedom fries thing when France refused to invade Iraq
@@KalashVodka175 agreed. We've been frenemies, as you say, with the Briths for hundreds of years. If they had wanted to make us look like cowards they would have done that a long time ago. This is definitely an american media bashing as a punition for France refusing to help them in Iraq.
@@viviyep As a Brit I instantly enter 'serious mode' whenever I see / hear it. I think you're right that it's mostly an American thing.

Might be one of may favorite ones yet! Really went all out for this one and it shows. Love the content!!
Appreciate it! Thank you so much
This was your greatest video yet! The intro and blender animations were fantastic! Great work!
Man. You never disappoint.
You can tell your editing skills are much more refined since the beginning.
How do you choose the right memes too? 😁
Brings back a lot of memories though like Hungary I admit I never played France before so wow 😁👍
Theres so many good memes and references
And the fact he uses voice lines from tf2 makes me so stupidly happy
I love this channel
The French were some superb horse breeders, that's for sure.
I look forward to seeing these videos every time they’re release. Thanks for making my Monday 🙏🏻
Yo incredible editing, you're doing awesome man! Keep this up, glad I stuck around
I love this channel so much, sometimes tho I’m like “why doesn’t pilps upload more?” And then I remember he plays an entire total war campaign and then has to edit
This video just made me notice that France used the same voice actor then Louen Leoncoeur.
I've been waiting for this for a good time, amazing job as always
*Yes!*
Have all of the Yes!
Tis was amazing love everything about it. Especially the beginning. You've really come a long way. Looking forward to seeing more amazing content into the future. :)👍
Pilps really did not pull any breaks in this video huh. All the new editing stuff was simply marvelous!
Cant wait for the new videos which will def perfect this
Thank you so much! I can’t wait to improve more and more!
France was great to fortify with castles! Its the quintessential faction in the game!
so nice to see and hear skits from you man. welcome back, la commandant!
Out of my years watching UA-cam this gotta be one of the most fire edits I've seen, tres bien!
I like how most of the armies you fought didn't even get the chance to retreat. They're just straight up gone 😂
Another beautiful masterpiece. Finally, the French Empire re-emerge and follow the footsteps of Charlemagne and Napoleon Bonaparte
Is there a reference to a french soldier yelling about hamsters from his castle or not is why I am going to watch this.
Yes, four minutes in and there it is :D
Frence was the very first campaign I played in MTW2 and MTW2 was the very first title I played from TW franchise. This video stirred up a lot of good memories about this game. Thank you. After being bullied out of existence on so many episodes, France finally triumphs !

Et VIVE LA FRANCE !!!!
Watching the "Baguette Bois" smashing English longbows with cannons really makes my day :))
P/S: Warhammer and Medieval 2 content is nice and all, but I am still waiting for a Shogun 2 comeback video :))
As a German I must say the idea of a crusade to Frankfurt is just brilliant
Great video, the intro was funny as hell and beautifully executed XD can't wait for the next one
I have to say, it's been fun seeing your editing advance and get better and better.
Just want to say that whoever did the effects and animations for the French intro deserves more credit because that stuff was almost like it came from an actual professional game rather than some fan animation. If they ever do a Med 2 Remaster Feral should hire that guy.
Playing France in any game is just 50% spy memes, 25% surrender memes & 25% trying to kill off the nobility
Wow a surrender joke so original
Most military wins of any recorded army belongs to the French. So proud of them 😢
Glory to Stephane Cornicard - aka every French person in gaming
So it is the Royarch himself - king Louen Leoncoeur?
@@MrChicken1138 The same!
Man, I would watch you do any of the really hard TW DLC campaigns. I've been watching your videos for months now and they just keep getting better. I will always enjoy seeing how you play these factions when I think of campaigns of my own as them, we have some really different styles, and I think that's really cool, but for some factions it's like as I watch the video I'm like, "Yes, now, he's going to do this, then this! Yes.... YESSS!!!! MUAHAHAHA!!!"
Hard to believe your production value went up, but it did indeed! Superb! Keep up the great work!
Cada capítulo es mejor, es increíble.
Gracias por traer este tipo de contenido.

Thank you so much!!
Dude, you put so much work into your videos and youre so interactive with your audiance! This is seriously one of my favorite channels
The quality of these videos is very good, and the memes that he puts out are perfect, I love your content, hopefully when you finish this total war you will make one with empire total war or rome 2 I mean it would be very cool
Hey Pilps. I just got into Total War (mostly empire and napoleon) anyway this led me to watch alot of your video's, and then I started reading up on your twitter etc. bc I was interested in whos behind this & I just wanna say you are a really good person, that hacking thing is truly terrible man, im glad everything is back on track. I guess I started watching you around a month before it happened but thankfully didn't notice. You are a really sound and genuine person, I haven't subbed to someone's patreon but I am defiantly going to sub to yours. You deserve it. I hope the best for you, your daughter and family man, excited to see what comes next. Kilgore~

Every time I watch a Pilps video, I remind myself to put some artillery in my armies.
And then I don't recruit any artillery.
How did you get the Pope to excommunicate so much factions ? The Pope usually cut off factions one at a time. And they regain favor fast. Is it due to the mod or are you just constantly bribing him ?
Also, I’m terrible at siege. For example, when I fight rebel settlements, I usually starve them until I they sally out so I can fight easily. When I attack the settlements, the casualty is way more than starvation. This get’s to the point where I only autoresolve with AI factions.
Can you give me a guide on offensive siege ?
Mr Pilps has a family now… yet he still takes time to deliver us some high quality shit posts from Total War that we so hardly seek…

My esteemed Pilps,
With utmost respect and admiration, I humbly request your attention towards a game of mine. It is none other than the Medievalfield, a game that is currently in its early development stage and available on Android.
Being an ardent lover of the medieval era, I wanted to depict the noble age atmosphere, combining it with the enthralling gameplay experience. However, being in the nascent stages of development, it is in dire need of constructive feedback from renowned gaming connoisseurs such as yourself.
Thus, I implore you to lend your invaluable time and expertise to give Medievalfield a try and share your valuable insights on its gameplay mechanics, graphics, and overall experience. Your feedback can help shape the game into a masterpiece that will be cherished by medieval enthusiasts for years to come.
I remain at your service and eagerly await your response.
Yours truly,
Sir Oleksandr
