Today we look at a series that has been very influential on my current taste in video games, the Project X Zone series. Following the moderate sucsess of there Super Robot Wars game the Morizumi's team would make follow up sequal with its new subtitile boldly stating it as going above and beyond the first game. Can they live up to such a statment and Exeed Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier?

Hm, I think this is the first video of Endless Frontier Exceed (I noticed you may have misspelled it in the title) I have ever seen. I've seen some discussion of the first game, but never this.
I guess more of the same was what they did for this game. I've been waiting for the Project X Zone retrospective for a while now, so I'm excited to see what you have to say about it.

I did the extra dungeon on this game and honestly I could spend dozens of hours on the combat alone... the story is an after thought. But this for me is an example how the gameplay alone of a Turn Based Jrpg can carry it completely.

Nah, the story is a good one, the problem is that it relies heavily on the player having knowledge of the Super Robot Wars franchise as a whole.

9:55 Although you did say your eyes rolled when it came to that particular scene, you seem to have no problem showing us what you were referring to there. 🤔
I for one admit falling to my degeneracy when it comes to said material however. I guess you got to keep people’s attention somewhere since these games are so egregiously long. The story alone is around 18 hours while the previous one was around 8 to 9 hours.

Why do you keep comparing these games to other ones? These games weren't made with the intention of surpassing major RPGs at all.

@@xenosanctum2531 However, not every ggame is made with the sole purpose of being the best one. Some, like the Shinra series, are made with the intention of giving players a fun time with a quirky crossover.
