Just a note regarding using the term "Colorblind" in the title, while I used it to describe the activity of the video, I am not using it to refer anybody's way of seeing color. I am sensitive to this issue, as due to an inherited trait, my son sees colors differently (what some refer to as colorblind), as do other members of my family. The video title is not referring to a genetic or chronic predisposition to see colors differently, but I felt was the clearest and most concise way to describe the activity at a glance, which is something thumbnails and titles must do.

Jazza..... M8, you are an awesome caring person. If people can't understand that then I think they lack a degree.
Other ways to do Bob Ross paintings:
1. Every color he uses, you use the opposite
2. Every time he says a keyword (you pick the word), you have a 15 second delay in painting and you can’t pause the video or rewind
3. Can ONLY use tiny brushes for the ENTIRE video. Bob loves that 2inch brush, but YOU can’t use it ( big canvas but tiny brushes)
4. Paint a Bob Ross painting from memory- you get to stare at the painting for 5 minutes and you have to figure out how to make it without listening to or watching the video

I like the twists that Jazza comes up with for these Bob Ross videos. Because in a way, you're doing what Bob Ross wanted all of us to take out of his painting videos.
He insinuates time and time again that you don't have to follow his painting step by step like one, two, three. But instead, come up with your own interpretation or design out of your own creativity.
Bob: "A nice spring color..."
Jazza: "Orange? Orange is a spring color."
Well... America's Spring is the same time as their fall...

In NZ the colours in spring are... Mostly green, and the colours the rest of the year are... Mostly green. I believe that in various parts of Australia you get more or less seasonal variation. Maybe he lives in a nice mostly orange most of that time area...

I grew up watching Bob (Born in 78). I can tell you his exact palette from memory. Anyone who is a Bob Ross enthusiast could. His positioning of the colors never changed, either.

I really like Jazza. he's not trying to be Bob, but he's trying to deliver the message that bob was trying to deliver and that is to always have fun while painting and creating your own world.

Interesting thought: could it be that jazza’s painting is more red and yellow because those colors exists in more abundance in Australia than in Alaska where bob ross learned to paint. And this is an unintended personal bias...Interesting.

The fact that you can follow bobs videos without even seeing it or hearing it shows how good he was at painting
The lesson: *trust your instincts.* Your first "sickly poo" color was closer to Ross's color than your second attempt. It doesn't really matter, overall his painting looks like Spring and yours looks more like early Fall. Ross's technique using the palette knife on the background mountains and sometimes for foreground tree bark depends on a loaded knife and a super light touch - holding the blade nearly flat to the surface and allowing the canvas to pull the paint from the knife. Using a palette knife to paint almost always leaves a lot of paint on the canvas giving it a physical texture as well as visual one. The trick to his painting style is to accept how the materials decide to behave. This is where Ross's "happy accidents" became his painting philosophy - he NEVER tried to correct something if it didn't do exactly as he expected. He said his paintings had a life of their own and sometimes developed in different directions than he intended when he started. Your normal art style and techniques are very regimented and precise, and you like and need to stay in control of the materials and tools for the overall look of your style. This is completely opposite of Ross's approach. He actually depended on random behavior of both paint and tools.

what color would a lizard crimson be? .. since it's a lizard, so it's going to be an earth tone of some kinda, and it's crimson, so it need to be red, so the color for a lizard crimson should look like some kinda of brownish red like venetian red or indian red.

I'd love to see you do a Bob Ross tutorial with the following twist:
Instead of you watching the video, someone who has NO artistic knowledge is watching it, and they're not allowed to give you actual color names. All they can do is say things like, "it's a light blue." "He's mixing a red, yellow, and white." And then they tell you where he's putting things on the canvas, but again, it's vague. "He's kind of starting in the middle with this color." "He's making a small tree off to the right."
I think a fun experiment is something i used to do with paint by numbers. Swap the colors so if he uses a blue use a yellow instead, red for green, black for white etc. You can get some interesting results.

Bob's version looks more like typical American landscape, while Jazza's looks more like Canadian landscape. I kinda prefer the colours that Jazza chose! Both are beautiful

Plot twist: The video was never edited. It was just Bob summoning his inner art demon, causing the strange sounds, distortion of reality, and the making of everything black and white.
