Just had a 14 hour 2/5 session. In for $1000, up a bit, then down to 400ish at the low point, about 12 hours in, cashed out for $2057. Won almost all of it in the last hour. Was reminding myself to be patient about 7 hours into my rollercoaster down swing.
Guess the $500k was punted on HCL.

Rampage I have been watching you for multiple years now. That is a snap call after the snap jams turn 5x on you. I know it's a lot of money but think it through. We know from pre-flop he doesn't have kings or tens. Maybe QJ could raise flop but I think that's a massive overplay and even if he does, QJ will fold to your flop 3- Bet. So, we are looking at the top 2, maybe AK onto the turn. That turn is essentially a brick because of the previous action. He will not have QJ in that spot unless he's nikairball and a flush draw rarely unless he has K10 or K8 of Hearts. So realistically its a snap call as there will very rarely be any hands better than you. I don't know anything about your opponent but the snap 5x jam is so incredibly weak anyway you know he never has a straight when he does that. Of course, 100k is a lot of money but there's already 90k in the pot if you call your getting 3/1 and those are incredible odds for your hand. Ive also witnessed you snap call AK off 3 streets on hustler for similar amounts so super confused at why you would consider folding

It wasn’t a 3 bet pre flop there was a straddle and then a raise. Still though, at these stakes 3 and 4 bets happen way more frequently so you can’t just fold to every 3 bet that you don’t have queens plus or it’ll happen over and over to you. Ranges are much wider depending on positioning and action in front but because he knew Rampage was in position to squeeze he believed he could call with a hand like that and not be in bad shape.

I think 10’s raise when they’re first to act after the straddle.
However they can definitely have JQ there. But when you think about it there’s way more drawing hands and 2 pair combos or pair plus straight draw or pair plus flush draws that do this.
Given the action is definitely a call but not a nit roll at all, especially for that kind of money.

When you know someones going to run it twice, you can jam flush draws far more often, knowing you will make them fold some of the time, and if not, theres a good chance you're going to chop. SO YES, running once or twice affects outcome, EV is just part of it.

@robertswift6101 I've gone around 4 times thus far playing 1/2 and buying in for $500. I'm up about 900 thus far, mainly just due to positive variance. People are usually decent, but you will probably find 1-2 bad players per table at least.

3betting flop is a mistake. You narrowed his ranged in a way that he can only continue with extremely good hands. Which at times beat your set. As deep as you guys were. You call and keep his range wide. Then re evaluate on the turn.
Once you put so much money on the flop. Cant possibly fold a set on the turn after getting jammed on. Imo is a slowroll

Why did the oppo raise on the last hand after Rampage bluff river? His 2 pairs was already counterfeited. Did he turn his hand into a bluff? This is quite obviously a raise that makes all worse hand (air, basically) fold.
