Lake Cuyamacca in the background. I've flown my hang glider thousands of feet over that lake many times. Love the whole area. We launch south of there facing the Anza Berrego Desert off of Mt Laguna.
Brian, I understand how you're feeling. I lost a dear friend of mine back in August and he had been sick for quite some time as well. He and I the same age (45). Way too young. It really makes a person reflect on what exactly are we doing here and how can we better serve ourselves, our loved ones, and this planet. I think the way you live is a great example of what we should be doing with our limited time. Thank you for bringing us along on these journeys and the slow calm reflection on the simple things.
Hey Brian, sorry for your loss. I just want to sent you a thank you for all the great videos that you produce. I am 62 yrs. old and I am the Director for a homeless shelter in Danville, Va. called the House of Hope. I will retire at 66. I had a pickup truck a little over a year ago. Fell in love with your lifestyle and went out and bought me a 1995 high top Dodge Ram 2500 van. Have not seen any vans out my way fixed up for van living except mine. I am a weekend warrior living in my van on the weekends up in the foot hills around Danville, Va. I have 200 watts of solar on my roof, put in a nice bed, built a desk like counter top, bought some items for cooking and heating. Have camped in a few camp grounds, also down some paths. I am getting the feel of living in a van and loving it or should I say living out of my van. You most likely have no idea how many people like me that you have blessed by showing and teaching a way of life for escaping the rat race. Thank you my young friend. Hope to meet you one day. It is wonderful for myself and others to ride along with you through your videos, it has and is a great escape for me. I look so forward to each of your videos. You are an inspiration for many. Your videos are my favorite of all that are out there. Waking up to a different view each day is awesome! You have giving me a hope for a better life to look forward too. Blessings to you my friend!
