I wish there was full video of the two rehearsing for the performance. Monica sounded better during rehearsing than she did the actual performance that made it to air. Her voice has always held more power.
@RedSox I heard her say that later on, but it came across as more of excuses than anything. I have always wanted Monica to be more serious about using her voice as an instrument with a good vocal coach. I know she uses vocal producers, but she never came across as being as serious as Brandy when it comes to learning the serious techniques of singing. God gave her a beautiful gift, but it's how you use that gift that REALLY makes all of the difference.
@@canton731she definitely recently came forward about a sinus surgery she had & not taking care of her voice after & then not eating the right foods (I don’t know something seemed off about that but to each it’s own)😬so your comment is definitely valid I definitely think she could’ve had some vocal coaching along the way

She did an interview after that performance and said her shoes were hurting her feet and she was a little tired.
