So she gets free shelter and now she’ll get free hospital care when she gives birth. I remember when all the homeless were kicked out of the hotels after covid. Imagine being homeless on the streets of NY and the most you can get is a bed for the night. Meanwhile, they’re given a hotel room for a few months plus food. Let’s be honest, most are here for economic reasons and not because they’re fleeing war.

They need to pay all the legal fees and apply like every other person who came here the right way and applied. Unfortunately those are the ones who have to wait months to years just to even get a response while having to care and provide everything for themselves. Many of them who came here off the bus within the last three months have already gotten their rights to work provided by free legal aid. That's unfair! Not everyone who comes here are good people, how do we know who they are with no documentation to show proof!? When you apply the legal way everything must be provided to immigration, health and criminal records. Finger prints, financial records and other miscellaneous requirements. How do they get a free pass!? This is ridiculous! The shelter was created for US citizens not who came here illegally! I never imagine you can come to another country illegally and expect to be taken care of. The Venezuelans have taken boats illegally to Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago and same. Some of them began committing crimes and robbing citizens and began selling themselves on the streets. It started happening here already as in Queens. This will destroy what's left of our country.
