We heard one last Tuesday at RSPB Middleton Lakes near Tamworth. First time that we had heard one and it was a very distinctive "boom". It had been spotted by the RSPB staff and was on their noticeboard.
That's amazing it's sad that they got extinct but they are good birds my mum is planning to go to Ham Wall so I hope I see or hear a bittern booming from Isabelle 🦚🦃🐣🐦🐧🕊🦅🦆🦢🦜
