In halo 2 when master chief was “giving the covenant back their bomb” two longswords noticed him and punched a hole in the covenant super carrier so he could get in and blow it up.
Or anyone who has been on my channel for a long time, you might recognize this video. It was one of the best videos I ever made and decided to redo it with better video and audio quality. (And I accidentally deleted it when purging the earlier vids on my channel.)
I really like the video man. You would expect to see a design like one of these Halo star fighters in a secret space program or black budget program these days. I'm sure variants of similar prototypes probably exist in special places.
Ahh yes, I remember this one. I see there is a Halo air simulator game. :3 The Longsword looks like a B-2 Bomber. They have some big missiles. Ohhh, the Sabre also looks like something from Star Wars. I wonder if they are accurate to actual space physics.

The problem being the TIE fighters rely on line of sight targeting. In lore the UNSC uses guided missiles in addition to autocannons which would lock on to covenant fighters like modern missiles. The TIE fighter was designed to fight WW2 style dog fights.

Good video, glad to see the unsc fighter craft get some love. There is one ship that i know of that you missed, but it isn't very well known and there may not be enough lore on it other than to mention it, the shortsword. Again, really loved the video, keep up the good work!!
@@thearchives2242 He said the Shortsword . Which is a bomber technically but equipped with M995 ASW/AC 30mm MLA which are a classification of coilgun mounted as turrets on various space fighters. The B-65 Shortsword is equipped with several M955 autocannons that fire 30mm projectiles. The autocannons complement the Shortsword's M/RODAS delivery system, allowing it to engage hostile aircraft. So its technically a strategic bomber / fighter or fighter / bomber. Considering autocannons in the Halo universe are apparently coilguns that use electromagnetic asynchronous linear-induction motor (ALIM) technology to fire hyperdense projectiles at velocities unmatched by chemical energy-based weaponry. I'm pretty sure it was "only" an assault carrier
But you are correct, this detail in the cutscene was great

Finally someone explaining UNSC fighters but you forgot the shortsword seen in halo wars. Other than that it’s an amazing video.

Likely in the US and China, perhaps.
TR-3B....look it up 😁

Most science fiction universe aren't, they value coolness and fancy visuals over realism.

Excellent video man. Can’t wait to see more Halo lore, it’s my favorite sci fi universe. Also, why did you delete your older videos?
Most were poor quality re uploads from my old channel, I felt like they didn't represent the quality of vids I make today
Sabre is my favorite
Mine too! :D

I always thought the longsword was a bomber, and that the shortsword (I think theirs one called a shortsword) would be the fighter

Why do they name their fighters after the cold weapons? Longsword, Sabre, Broadsword...
