Okay if you get to the scaffolding part on bedrock edition it WONT work instead use another block like wool or which ever block looks good to you, it’s very annoying and it’s the main reason why I don’t like the bedrock edition because it’s such a broken game :( I hope it still looks good!
POV: you tried scaffolding and it didn’t work and you went to the comments to see if there was a trick, and now you know everyone else can’t do it, so you gonna make it white wool
This is a gorgeous design and looks complex even though it's pretty quick to build :D I especially loved the inner mechanical part too! Thank you for the tutorial ^_^
Well that’s great I just put 1 hour 30 minutes into this just to get stuck on the scaffolding part because they automatically break with contact on trapdoors🤦
I found an easy way to add scaffolding to the ''arms'' that extend to the sides, put a row of any material (I used leftover wood logs) and then attach your trapdoors to the front and then build the scaffolding on top by right clicking the fence parts. This will let you build the scaffolding with zero issues and they will stay when you remove the excess row you built. p.s., stand on the trapdoors when adding scaffolding infront of the gate to prevent it from opening!
I've build this in survival mode (bedrock). I had no problems making the part with the scaffolding (upper and down). Although for left and right I used white coloured glass. Looks great! Thank you so much for this tutorial. Even though I had some frustrations building this high, without flying and with one creeper, I did have lots of fun building this. My husband and son were really amazed by the great build!
Thanks for the tutorial, that’s a really nice windmill, however, I find that you’re explaining a bit too fast, or that your building is going too fast. At 5:00, with the slabs, I had a lot of difficulties as I couldn’t properly see where you put your slabs (top point of view, not really useful), and it was too quick.
I’m so excited for this build, I’m putting it in my realm I have with my friends. On Bedrock though so I’ll just use white wool instead of the scaffolding plus I’m low on string so it’s a plus anyway. 😊
This looks so different without shaders, the stone brick stands out too much. I just used mossy cobble, andesite and polished andesite, (steps, slabs and walls for all three) and it looked fine and not too in your face so if you're using vanilla with no textures I'd suggest this. Other than that this tutorial is fine.
Hey guys I know a lot of you can’t do the bamboo part like I couldn’t tried for two hours got fed up . I’m here to help. Use stone or some other block and fill the parts where he put the bamboo put the trap doors around it and use oak instead of bamboo in front of the stone then destroy stone looks way better then the bamboo
I’m late but the people that complained about having to get so many materials have obviously never tried to make an iron or creeper farm. If you want a big build you’re gonna have to get the materials 🤷♀️
I knew it I had to use wool but I took your windmill and doubled the size I calculated everything so it looked better and bigger because I wanted my stash of weapons and my portal to be there I also have my mansion that’s almost bigger than the woodland mansion which umm took cough cough 2 days to build fully with detail and my hand and eyes were dead so I decided windmill that’s where my actual stuff is gonna be at
It is possible on Bedrock with some minor alterations! Because scaffolding can attach to an adjacent scaffolding block you can make it work with the vertical blades, but on the side blades you have to use birch fences on the bottom layer (Which blends well anyway!) You just need to place a block at the end of the blades for one piece of scaffolding to sit on - then the rest are pegged on the end. Hope this helps.
Im trying to do it on Bedrock and im confused as to how your trying to explain. how does the bottom vertical blade work also the side ones what do you mean by a block at the end? thanks
@@whoscookie1522 Sorry, yes. The bottom vertical blade must also have a block. I used wood planks. Try to think of the physics of the scaffolding block- so at the bottom of the lower blade you need minimum one block of wood. that way you can place scaffolding on top of that easily. but the blade is two blocks wide, yes? So you can attach scaffolding to an adjacent scaffolding block - then it won't just fall. As for the side blades- you need to use the same method with one wood plank block at the end so that you can place a piece of scaffolding on it- then attach the rest adjacently. Then I used birch fences underneath for the second layer as it ties in the materials and still looks great despite not being scaffolding. Hope this helped!
PollyPod yes. Thanks for explaining it to me had the main structure built in my world for ages now with no blades on it! Can get to finishing it now. Thanks again
Yikes. I'm playing survival, and this was tough. Firstly because I'm not going to travel who knows how many blocks to get bamboo just to get frustrated with scaffolding, and secondly I found myself running back to get more materials several times. I wish you would update the matt list just a little, because I spent more time running back to craft than i did on the 15 minute video. Definitely more creative friendly than survival friendly as your title states.
To those anyone using bedrock version like me who also found it hard to do the scaffolding part. It really is tricky, all you have to do is replace the trapdoor with a stripped log (any kind but I used spruce.) And in a straight line of 8 logs, in the 4th and 8th log, place a log on top of it, which could give it a good look even if it's looking thick and also a support for the scaffoldings. :)) • • • • • • • • • • That's how the logs should look btw. Every circle represents a stripped log. Btw nice tutorial, subbed ^^
this is good, but can you just name the blocks when you placing, like i dont know what kind of slabs u using, oak or spruce or... u know what i mean. everything else is okay
Instead of the trap doors I just used spruce slabs on the horizontal parts and trap doors for the vertical parts to make the scaffolding work lol at the comments I’m not lowering my standards to white wool 😂
so I admit that I do like the end result but I'm not a fan of the thumbnail. The blades are diagonal on it and misrepresents the video really. You show the correct one immediately but why even use that thumbnail?
This tutorial was absolute so slow. He was in creative first of all, which isn't the problem. The problem is that he has you place down blocks the replace them later on. I'm TRYING to make this in my survival world, and it's going ok so far but this is just stupid.

Mr Mirror I have bedrock on iOS I think last time I did it worked
Well for console its all we got
This is so cool for my rustic theme survival world town!
Lol you think im dumb.....
SAY /setblock ~ ~ ~ scaffolding
Pro trick: you can watch movies at flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
I've been looking for ages for a good sized simple but detailed windmill and I found this masterpiece! Liked and subbed
POV: you tried scaffolding and it didn’t work and you went to the comments to see if there was a trick, and now you know everyone else can’t do it, so you gonna make it white wool
100% correct
No wool. You just need to use 1 half-block.
@@barbarian3946 what do you mean
I'm not copying this, But this gave me an idea of what to make.
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful build! I used wool, then covered it with oak trapdoors, then knocked the wool out. LOL Perfect!
Sorry about the spelling 😂 I was typing fast with no spell check never a good idea!
Much love to everyone though!

I really love this build, espacially the interior, it looks just like a real functional windmill ❤️
Well that’s great I just put 1 hour 30 minutes into this just to get stuck on the scaffolding part because they automatically break with contact on trapdoors🤦
Me too
Same, doing this on survival was a pain ngl
just use wool
But i dont have that problem
Finished watching the splendid light house video. Im back for more, thank you!

Your are literally making no sense
You sir, are AWESOME!! I spent so long scratching my head until I read this. Works like a charm!
THANK YOU SO MUCH
If you dont get the scaffolding to work but you really like the look of it, then use fences

This is epic. What an awesome build dude. Keep them coming. 🤙
WOW this looks amazing
i started building this on my friend server and it looks really nice. it's not finished but almost same mill
thank you man this tutorial is very survival friendly
Great design and great tutorial, thanks! I also found out that in bedrock white terracotta works really good instead of scaffolding
I used brown wool, and placed dark oak signs on the left and right on e for accent. Looks awesome.
Very good and very easy! I'm gonna place a bunch of these in my world. Thank you very much!!

Great build. I'm using a deepslate base
This tutorial made me realize two things. First is that im playing bedrock edition and second we got many bedrock edition player

Scarfacffolding dont work on ps4
Would have been nice if you stated at the beginning that it won’t work on PS4.
Cool, now get it to turn
you cant place scaffolding on trap doors on ps4 just use one spruce slap and build from there.
Same with Xbox
@@evan_alexanderr pocket edition too

The build is good, but the camera shots made it more stressful than it had to be, I can barely tell whats going on in the 2nd half of the video.
The rotors are quite different to the thumbnail... I was here for that. First look at the video and it looks different...
this is good, but can you just name the blocks when you placing, like i dont know what kind of slabs u using, oak or spruce or... u know what i mean. everything else is okay

Nice design, but the camerawork made me so motion-sick I had to take several breaks
Does the rotors actually turn ?
i travelled over 9000 blocks to bamboo and the scaffolding doesn’t work :((((
Y do u hav only 500 subscribers. Everyone u should subscribe to this man . He is the best
What is the one with 6 blocks and nothing in it?
I can’t put the scaffolding on the fences on the left and right they keep falling :( any tips? Besides that it’s a sick build
Bbadwys Xx hey try putting the trapdoors down first and the. Place the scaffolding on them so the trapdoors hold them up hopefully that helps 🙂
Mr Mirror it dosnt work for me, when I place them they just break
@@MrMirror scaffolding seems to break when placed on trapdoors. (win10/bedrock edition)
Ughh.....mr mirror u didn't make the farm too ;(
But... Its still cool I gonna add some
WHAT IS THE SHADER NAME I NEED IT
Scaffolding falls when building the fence and trap door part
But otherwise amazing build u have earned a sub
What shader is this???!!!
why can’t i place the scaffolding’s on trapdoors?
shift + rmb
It dosent work on ps4

Really? Oh and lets redecorate the windmill with new blocks WITH NO TIMELAPS Yeah It’ll be so easy for people that want tot do that
well bedrock kinda fucked me on this one
Cute
Fuck scaffolding
