2:02
That sounds exactly like Paul's tone. Dope.
Thank you!!
wtf, this is the exactly Paul's tone, very good
Thank you!! 🤘🤘🤘
The first time I ever heard this song and the riff at 2:01 came on I was like😲😲 what's that?!
I didn't know it was a bass guitar at the time, I just loved how heavy, dirty, sinister and dark it sounded. Now, many years later I decided I'm picking up a bass and this is one of the songs I want to learn just to murder that part of the song 😍
Same here but it’s hard to nail it at full speed
The heaviness is palpable man! Awesome!
So clean!
excellent🤘🏻
Awesome Bass tone my man!
amazing bro lml yeahh
Super bueno!!

Thank you!!! 👊
how are you only at 100 subs holy shit.
The tone of the bass guitar is an A rank.
Oque vc fez pra chegar no tom idêntico ao do Paul Gray?

Can you do liberate by slipknot
I do
@@lusouzabx wait are you really going to do the bass for libérate it would be awesome
Buen trabajo :v
Gracias :)))
The reason for using Drop B has to be that the breakdown bass line is easier to play in that tuning.
what is ther tuning of the E string? because when I play it I play it on the B string
Cause Paul Gray don't use 5 strings basses, only 4 strings basses. And is not the same tone 😉
Paul mattered a lot to me. I can tell he did with you too
Awesome! ;D What kind of strings are you using? o:
For this video i used .45 bro
Thank u for you comment 🤘🤘🤘
Man where’d you go?!?
Here! 😁
I will be back soon but only Instagram @lusouza.bx . Now i'm recording new videos, soon i'll upload there 😉
Parabéns Luciano, me tira uma dúvida, pq não tocou usando a corda Si padrão e deixou tudo padrão? Pra tocar precisar mesmo fazer esse sistema de drop? Desculpa a pergunta, sou novato.
Hola
Hey :)
How u getting the tuning so low?
It’s drop b
Is it standard 5 string tuning? Great cover BTW!
It's in drop b
@@Dankster-yo8xv a 4-string drop b
@@Mihail2304 my bad, so basically just 5 string standard
@@Dankster-yo8xv beadg ok
in this type of music I only use 4 strings on my bass because it is very low. It looks like this x - B - F# - B - E
how low is that fifth string if the low E is down to B???
Slipknot does not use 5-string bass in their recordings. There are many factors not to be used, but it would be a long story. So, enjoy the video, subscribe to the channel and leave your like ;)
@@lusouzabx lol sorry, it was like 3 am when i posted that and i forgot paul only used 4 strings for slipknot. i’ll subscribe though, thanks man
i appreciate that. Welcome to the team. Stay safe 🤘
Could someone explain what's the point in having a low B if you're not going to use it for a song like this?
Ikr?
Unless he uses the fifth string for an even lower tuning
@@tlacxztli_1 the idea of Drop B is that it's not really a thing on 5 strings. Considering our tuning is B F# B E, then considering B Standard on a 5 string, B E A D G, then we would have to tune up our strings a whole step to B F# B E A, which defeats the purpose of the 5th string. The first tuning from standard that actually makes sense on the 5th string is drop A, A E A D G, as this is normal 7 string guitar as well, A E A D G B E. Anything lower is good, anything higher makes the 5th string redundant, calling for a 4 string.
Alternatively, you could tune the 5 string (x B F# B E), leaving room for an even lower 5th string. This, however, is an insanely low tuning, which on a normal 7 string guitar would be G# C# F# B E G# C#, which is effectively G# Standard.
The sound of this bass is very muffled on the larger gauge string. To play this type of music, it is interesting to use a lower caliber to gain high pitch.
@@KirePlasmaX No, that doesn't make any sense at all. Use the B string, The song is in B. Play B standard or tune the top 4 up a step. It does not "defeat the purpose" to use the lowest note available as the lowest note available.... THAT IS the purpose of having the thicker gauge string...
That can't be standard tuning there, holy shit xD
Its drob b lol
@@Dankster-yo8xv bbadg?
@@morenoh149 lol, he meant Drop B for the guitars, so for bass I believe it's still BF#BE
Just by looking at the fingering you can tell is a drop tuning, and pretty sure it is B.
Had another look after, it seems to be drop B (BF#BE) , C# standard with a drop.
Wonder if he left his low B string as is or if he has it stupidly low.
Something is way off. Still not terrible.
Why not just tune up the top 4 strings a step rather than tune them down 2.5 steps?? You have a B string, use it lol...
these sterling basses are made to have a gain in the low, so even with .40 strings the B has a conflicting frequency. That's why we only play Slipknot with 4 strings so we don't mess up the frequencies and give the notes clarity.
You're good at bass it just doesn't work on this song for me atleast
Thank you! 👊
