I like how you fold under the lip of the bottom of the pocket. This makes for a stiffer tube and creates a smooth edge that a plant branch won't saw itself off with when the wind moves it.
I made my rendition of the quad station and now moving into final copy; additionally I will be 3d printing my net cups for lengths as well as my seat for the cups. Resourcing materials ideas; if you go onto a construction project; 3’ to 4’ often is wasted and they end up in the garbage piles… I find that Canadian pvc pipe is much thicker and will split even with adequate heating for reaming. I will be developing a method that only requires a stencil and hole cut due to thickness of pipe due to frost line requirements
So, once your plants get more mature, how many times a day are you adding more water? I have a rail system with around 70 plants (lettuce/kale/Swiss chard) and on warm days, it can go through 4 gallons of water. I use a 17 gallon tote for my res. I don’t see how this thing can keep enough water in it without constant refilling. Plus, it’s all exposed so the water temps would rise when in direct sunlight.
@@Sukasuka i mean when i follow your style my pipe tear so bad im quite confused should i only heat the part where the pvc cut ends? to avoid tearing it and making a bigger hole ?
@@Sukasuka Is there a lighting system that works well with vertical planting indoors? Most of the lighting systems I see look better for horizontal systems. Are there hanging lights?
You need to figure out where to put a reservoir, where the pipes will drain to and how you will distribute the water, I have to add about 2 -4 gallons a day to mine (tomatoes and cucumber). A system this size will be very thirsty. Like the idea
Is the density of the pots too great? Will the plants be competing for space and sunlight? How about harvesting difficulties because of the density of the plants?
instead of 90s on the center 2 up rights, you should just have used tee's. This would give you more water capacity and not made any difference to the look.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE 10 HOLES ON ONE PVC PIPE? DOES IT ANY ONE OF AN EASIER WAY TO DO THIS? ARE THERE PRE-FORMED PVC PIPES AVAILA LE? IF SO, WHAT ARE THE SUPPLY SOURCE & COST?

The thumbnail lies, there are hardly 20 holes in every tower (which is plenty) and if math is not an opinion there should be a total of about 160 holes, where did he get that 270 or something 🤣🤣🤣
This is next Gen farming.
If my next apartment has a balcony, I will 100% be building this. I've got this series saved. Thank you :)

You could easley file the edges with a rasp but ya it seem just as easy to roll the edge.👍
Great video, but sorry I think I miss how do I connect the water supply?
Ini untuk hobi sambil mencari pasar, setelah peminat tanamannya banyak, baru beralih ke produksi.
Best DIY I have seen
Agree. Even though he didn't talk to explain, the way he did explains everything already. Impressive demo.
Lol but how do you get water into them
Thanks for providing all the details. I will be trying to make a rendition of this soon. First I need to save up for all the parts. Thanks!

great video. I am excited to see part 2. Looking to do something like this.
Cleanest build for a vertical tower. Kudos! 👊
Well done. Thanks for sharing. SD California.

How would the water system work can you do a video

Yeah the towers are good but the rest is expensive garbage and won’t work properly
Can you tell me why you using a coupling cant you just take the 4" pipe straight through to the elbow?
You can, but having the coupling allows you to remove a tower and clean inside easier
mantap designnya..lanjutkan berkarya.
This looks nicely done
hello, do i really need the white pvc? because i used orange before and it tear so bad the holes are not clean
you need a strong pipe, the color does not affect

How do you stop the heated pipe from splitting when making the hole?
it will not split, just a bit careful
I found the trick is not to over heat it. The ones I overheated ripped the edges. Just heat until it’s just pliable.
Excellent very inspiring
thank you, share please
Hello brother, what inch of net cups did you use ?
Hi, i use 5Cm
Thank you. Great video
How much size is the tapered pipe that used to hole shape the pvc pipe
1.5"
or 2 inch as per requirement of Crop i.e. 1.5 is for Leafy Vegetables and 2" is for Vegetables for easy withstanding of the plant.

I don’t know where you are but I don’t think you can get pipe like that in the U.S. It’s very thin-walled.

PVC is stable and does not leach petrochemicals into the water unless you heat it - so you heat it. Wtf?
Yup, you can get straps for 1-1/2 fittings and just cut holes with a drill
