Not only did she win on the technical side, she should have won PCS with her faster speed, skating skills and musicality! I hope Jia takes the title in 2023 🙏 stay healthy and happy!
Lovely performance. Should have won the JWC but this corrupted sport robbed her of this moment. She has a very bright future, as she's only 14, I can't wait to see what she'll bring in the future.
@@kerryperryman3025 She did win the free! In the final standings, there was only a 0.54 points difference between them and Isabeau got higher PCS than Jia in the free! The problem was that a lot of Isabeau's jumps had problems such as underrotations, wrong edge on the flip and lutz and excessive pre-rotation that were not called for properly. Although I do recognise that Jia also had lutz edge problems that were not called, Isabeau's problems were far more and none of it called except for an unclear edge call on her flip, which should have gotten negative GOE but she received positive GOE lol. If both were called for their mistakes, Jia would have won.
Disagree. Isabeau had the advantage in the SP which ultimately won her the title. Jia had the better jumps and was appropriately scored in GOE but Isabeau received higher levels for step sequences and spins which edge out Jia just slightly. Isabeau also had two Loop combos which have a higher base value. They are both beautiful skaters with great assets (just different) and a refreshing change from Russians.
@@harveygirl95 Yes Isabeau had the advantage due to her sp score which contributed to her placing so high! But I still think that if the free was scored accordingly to the *rulebook* Jia would have won the free with a bigger margin from Isabeau, and in the end would have won the gold. And yes they're both beautiful, talented girls and I can only wish them the best!☺
Should have been gold in my opinion. The podium had talented skaters all around, but her jumps are just so much better than Isabeau's. Some of GOEs and calls were really surprising
I literally flinched seeing Isabeau's jumps when I watched the comp live. Not even the rus girlies make me do that. I'm VERY concerned for her back(especially since her coach is apparently an eteri stan YIKES). Jia should've won and that's a fact.

Thank you for saying a nice thing about Jia, but the judges are very generous to US and Russian skaters, so I am not sure of her bright future...especially after Russians will return.
Her technique is impeccable, I must say I am captivated by Levito's style but technically, Jia is so many levels ahead. She's so young to be this good... it's the sort of technique that some in the senior category do not even possess.
What a beautiful performance and program! I love both of her programs. She's really a beautiful skater, i hope her skills and techniques will always be this good or even become better in the future
Exactly, I saw the slow-mo and the commentators piss me off so much. She had a flat edge takeoff which was obvious but they said ”oh, yup that’s an outside edge”. They also missed thr fact that she underotated so many jumps
@@Leirix61 Isabeu SP was not perfect either jump wise. Her 3lo was not fully rotated and neither 3Lz or 3F edge was called. So clearly Jia should have won the SP as well

She has a better jumping technique than the americans. Great foundation for a bright future. (more work in the presentation should be done, which is totally fine for a junior)
I think that justice should be in first place. I'm concerned about Isabeau, she jumps like Anna Scherbakova or Kamila Valieva, and that means that she gets inflated scores for poor jumps. If she goes on like that, she'll retire before reach eighteen with a back injury. USA cannot produce champions imitating russian methods.
