I have been watching Jia since she first competed in the juniors and she has grown so much in musicality and elegance. There is a sense of maturity in the way she skates. Most importantly, I am so glad to see that she still has the stability of her jumps even though she had grown-something a lot of her compatriots have struggled with. She was so tiny last season!
Yes!! She’s my favorite skater right now. Great musicality, expression, joy! She skates like it’s not a competition. And yes, I’m impressed with how she’s dealing with growing up, she’s so much taller! And luckily her jumps are growing together with her in height and length.
"It's sheer beauty." Absolutely!!! Flow, elegance, control, gracefulness... You're a true artist, Jin Shin. This is what figure skating should be about. A lovely program. Congratulations!!!

2nd place 3 years in a row is hard to swallow, but also shows her incredible consistency. I hope she'll win a couple of major championships in the future. I believe she is eligible for the 2026 Olympics whereas Mao is still too young to go.
Jia Shin really won in 2022 just the scoring was so rigged and corrupt and the outrage so great because of it as comments beneath her LP video for that year clearly show.
Jia Shin's freeskate at Junior Worlds was so engaging emotionally with her great skating skills, fluid speed and massive rink coverage right up to the edge of the boards that really brings the audience into her performances. She also has quick, multi-directional turns, lovely and challenging transitions and picturesque air positions through her lofty jumps with highly artistic extensions and expression super attuned to the mood of the music.
I am mesmerized by her performance no matter what the color of her medal is. I love seeing the Mao-Jia rivalry and it gives us all something to talk about and look forward to. They are both great skaters, but the maturity level, elegance, grace and beauty she exhibits on ice is unparalleled by any one of her competitors, not even Mao. She is a full package phenom even without the quad and 3A.
When she landed that amazing 3Lz+3T I started shaking and was close to tears. She needed the skate of the century to reach Mao and she made a hell lot of effort to almost deliver on it.
This is right strategy for the health and long career not to learn triple axel or quads when her under 18. And the fact that even without ultra с, the difference between Mao and Jia is only 6 points shows how incredible Jia is. In addition, one should never forget that Jia was supposed to be the champion of 2022. She was robbed.
Even without the error in the last spin Mao would still have won I guess having a 10.5 higher BV than Jia. Nevertheless it’s wise that Jia doesn’t risk more to train for Ultra-C elements as it’s the Olympics season that will matter the most. She will be eligible while Mao won’t so being injury free and keeping up the stability of her jumps is the most important thing for Jia in the long run. Hope to see Jia on the Olympics podium!
The spin cost her several points. Jia has started to built her strength and maturity in jumps and skating. The flow becomes even better. Hope she can overcome the puberty struggles and finally become a mature and charming skating star.
Jia had the same problem as last year's world champions: Impeccable beginning and middle of the program and a crucial error in the end, last year she fell in the Step Sequence and now the Spins broke. Maybe she will get tired towards the end of the program, but it's something the coaches should work on in the coming seasons. Other than that, excellent program. She's wonderful.

@user-kf8gp3kb9i yeah i didn't notice it on the full free skate video. Only on the smaller video. It's pretty odd. AndJia had a really good skate so it doesn't seem like it was an issue actually in the venue.

I don't think she would as it's pretty nasty behaviour.
Congratulations and good job to Jia🥰 so proud of her still doing her best and holding on even though i can feel and see that at the end of her program especially her spin that she lost some concentration. I guess she realized she still wont win gold because of Mao's 3A and quad
@@DeathSpiral777 honestly in my opinion Jia has the best free skate program among the juniors. And in my eyes the only advantage of Mao was her 3A and quad and better spins but as an overall performer Jia was the best.

I am not a fan of this David Wilson program. Yes it’s elegant and suit the music, but I am expecting something more dramatic and perhaps complex. I thought her last year FP is better.
Maybe it's time to remind you that two of the top Russian skaters at the moment are Anna Frolova and Ksenia Sinityina, who don't have any ultra-C but deliver programs with high-quality elements and great PCS, just as Jia.

It’s not, really a bitter placing, one bit. At the end, not everything has to be about who’d placed first place.
I hope this Mao Jia rivalry stays as graceful as the two skater are! Pure excellence from both of them 😊😊
Breathtaking her skating :jumps without long take offs -easy/breezy -amazing glide on the ice !👌
