had the "dpf clogged regen required" warning lamp on at around 1500 km. after running a few kms on highway cleared that. again appeared at 5000 km. but this time on a trip to hill station (with family) with bumper to bumper driving on the ghat roads. by the time i find a place for trying park regeneration, the warning disappeared and engine malfunction warning light appeared. couldn't do much. didnt have range for mobile to contact the customer care as well. after running a few kms agin slowly in lower gear car lost it's pulling. bacame very sad to see the autorickshaws overtaking us. was lucky enough to reach a town nearby. contacted the customer care. advised me not to drive agin. they was helpful. arranged for free home drop (free within 50 km radius) in another car. towed the car to service centre. wad told that the dpf sensor became faulty. sensor got replaced (free of cost as under warranty period) and dpf clogging was cleared. but it took 2 weeks to get the sensor from Pune plant. had to manage without car for those 2 weeks. did another hill station trip with family recently. the warning lamp was on at around 7000 km. this time tried the park regeneration. tried multiple times but it did not start. it does not say cleary that what conditions are not met to initiate the regen process. managed to drive at 3rd and 4th gears with rash driving. luckily the warning disappeared after driving a few kms. the manual says to run the car on highways for 20 to 30 km at slightly high speeds. but my observation is that the problem usually happens at hill stations where you won't find any highways to test your luck. also the park regeneration is just a gimmick to take on the competition it seems.
Hii, I had exactly same problem with my car, just a month back I bgot this xuv300. At 1600 km the regen issue came and I just neglected it, thinking it will disappear.. but it's height when car started running slow and all just started overtaking me, I was just watching all and the speed was sinking and Even after full accelerator speed din cross 50. Somehow managed to ride 20km n reached home. Now the car is not starting... pls guide me, ur Guidance will be a real help
do not try to start the engine. contact Mahindra road side assistance. they will tow it to the nearest Mahindra showroom. since it is covered under warranty, you don't need to shell anything out of your pocket, i believe. don't confess them that you neglected the warning. instead, mention that you tried to do "park regen" per the manual but it didn't work.
After all these issues , do you recommend someone to go for BS6 diesel ? Like I am the one who is a diesel fan and always wanted to own a diesel car but DPF thing is stopping me now.
go for diesel if you love the better mileage it offers and only if you plan to drive your car more than 10 years. if so, plan for a bs6 with adblue. if you cannot afford it, go with one equipped with park regen (like XUV300)
I guess we cannot run diesel after 10 years in NCR but that’s not my concern I will not be holding a diesel car more than 8-9 years but as you said park regen is only available in Mahindra diesels ? Because I was planning for i20 diesel it also has DPF issue and honestly saying my monthly running will not be more than 700-800km
I am facing a problem with my xuv 300 that, when I engage the handbrake for sometime especially in the raining time, then if I release the handbreake, it is not releasing at the breakpad. If I give more powerful acceleration it will release with a big sound. When I asked the mahindra service center they said that like this it will happen to all cars. At the time of servicing I told them to check the bteaking system. Found that all breakpads are damaged heavily. I want to know that anybody using xuv 300 is facing like this problem. Please comment.
@@abhimanyusingh1395 if u get this warning suddenly while driving on the highway, what do we do? Isn't it irritating to stop the vehicle sideways and do this process? This is the reason I don't like bs6 diesels.. Too complicated
This is what I needed .. the only thing which was making me thing twice for buying the desiel thank you very much
Is everything fine now?
Thank you. This is super helpful
Have driven nearly 8600kms in 4 months.. Never had this issue of regen required
Because you might be driving frequently on highway....
diesel?
@@RSKViewsVlogs yes.. completed 25K in a year no regen..
Mainly driving at highway speeds and less city use
Won't park regeneration damage engine?
30 min idle running?
Seems this comes when driving is not regular and atleast half hr driving
Thanks I'm going with petrol I don't want to go to highway that is 10 km from my busy city
In bs6 they added ad blue 🔵 in xuv 300? So we have to also do dpf?
I got this error while driving in city, after 5 min of drive on city it self it gone.
Now I don't find this error, is this normal ?
