These are dope and I need to cop a pair. As far as hype, people generally don't know what they like. They purchase things because some cultural fashion icon wears it because they want to emulate that person. It can look like complete dog sh!t but if person X is wearing it and tells you it's fire the hypebeast will flock to it. Dunks went in and out of style and the true Dunk diehards are mad as hell because they can't buy them anymore because of said hype. I'm perfectly fine with the idiots saying "Boost is Dead" so I can purchase my sneakers at or under retail. Remember, these are shoes with garbage materials that have high profit margins for sneaker companies. Let alone when it gets sold on the resale market if it's a hyped up sneaker. Once someone stops buying sneakers for validation and ACTUALLY likes them for themselves you stop with this hype nonsense.
Adidas is doing just that to hype up NMD S1 in limited release.
Love that you can see the socks through these. Game changer as someone that likes to match my socks to my hat or shirt etc
I got a pair via adidas’ confirmed app. This edition has gotten more productions than previous two editions. Unfortunately the third edition was still sold out. The only grip I have is this edition 3 release doesn’t have the words printed on the midsoles.
NMD S1 fits half a size too big by going TTS if you have regular feet. I have to swap out the stock insoles with thicker ones to make it fit to my liking.
Great review...prices are starting to creep up on StockX. Soles remind me of those Alexander Wang Hikes a few years back, they had trefoil traction and tonnnnes of boosht too. Great review (oh I said that already)

@@theshoemmelier oh, I thought perhaps Y3 did it too. Lovely how you can almost change the colourway with whichever socks! The transparent panel is cool. They sold out in UK and Ireland superfast, waiting for a stockX pair, too nice to pass on. Premium vibes with the boxing etc too 💥

Anyone know ow how these fare in terms of comfort compared to the Yeezy 380? I have four pairs of the 380s and consider them at the highest level in terms of comfort
Good review. This is the 3rd edition. Bright friends 1, white 2, this 3. I just got mine at around 50 dollar premium but they really are very good value. Yes they definitely are heavy.
2 white bags, luxurious box, plastic shoe inserts, primeknit, ultraboost foam, boost casing - imagine the carbon footprint hahahaha so much for climate change agenda

I tried a whole size down from my TTS and they still felt comfortable - I think there' simply a bit too much give in the upper...
shoes are nice but it might just be me, but the toe box is just too bulbous and comes as off putting at least for me. Coming from the streamlined look of the OG this feels a little backwards aesthetics-wise. Anyways, great review as always the Shoemmelier! keep it up! 🙂

All 3 CWs of NMD S1 is sitting here in Manila. Kinda friggin disappointed when I got my pair today that came with a regular NMD box SMFH
I bought a pair, i didn't find them as comfortable as other boost sneakers i have from ADidas, but not bad, the arch area is a bit hard and takes some getting used to, they are long and narrow so if you have wide feet forget about these. for normal to thin feet they are ok. and as he said, they go at least 1 size too long so definately get 1 size lower than your TTS. I love the look, and like the upper sock type feel, easy to put on. the upper is great, just wish the arch area was softer. It feels a bit like an antiPronation type shoe.
You are right on the arch inner sole. So uncomfortable even when I ordered true to size 7 and half size bigger 7.5. I do not recommend it with wide feet like mine. I like my ZNsored Hi better.

These aren't NMDs imo but I think they added the NMD tag onto this model to bring some hype. It's still a good silhouette though

These shoes are so good it made this man moan..
The toe looks so ugly, looks like puffy clown shoes. The original NMD toe box was so much more aesthetic and pleasing.
