  • If we take a carboxylic acid and replace the OH with other groups, we can get different carboxylic acid derivatives. There are lots of ways to form these, and they have a variety of different applications, so let's take a look at a few now!

    Hello, Professor. I have a report on functional derivatives of carboxylic acid. I would like a source or books that talk about them. Can you help me with that please?

      Because chemistry is important. Thus, you can solve an elementary question about if chlorine dioxide is toxic or not without a help of a chemist.

      im 99% sure its the acid chloride because it is closer to the double bond. Would need @professordaveexplains to confirm.

    Do carboxylic acid do combustion reactions
    ?

    • @florencelafortune5664
      @florencelafortune5664 3 роки тому

      Yes they do! They undergo combustion to from carbon up use and water.
      However, this happens only when more extreme conditions are used, because its lone carbon is already fully oxidized.
