- In this video I demonstrate and explain how I repaired my new SCAG SWZT 52" mower.

I just bought a 36 used - very low hours and it was serviced in 2021 right before it was last used - the hydro oil looks very clean but is about 1/4” low at cold in the overflow - I’m going to change it anyway - engine oil very clean and full as well so I think I can wait on that
Runs great at all throttles and speeds

Great video. Great mower i had the 48”. that 52” mower new is $5283 before tax. So I’m sure u came out good. If you want it to stripe grass and in my opinion cut better adjust the front of the deck 1/4th inch lower in the front. If your going to mulch or dont want strips just leave it level.
Thanks for the tip! I will definitely try that, I thought it was weird it said it should be level... I've never seen a mower with a perfectly level deck
I have the 48” swzt. I love it, but it was like mowing a hay field in terms of the rows of cut grass that it would leave behind with the chute in place. I just installed the hurricane mulching system last week and cannot believe how well it works. There is literally no signs of cut grass after a pass. I cannot yet tell if the stripes are still as significant as before. That brings me to my question. If I lower the front cutting deck 1/4” as you mentioned, will it still mulch/mulch well? I am not opposed to experimenting with it, but figured I would ask first. Thanks.

Where is the tracking adjustment bolt? My SWZT is pulling right.
I just bought a used one as well in great shape but with one small issue. The steering is sticky. When you pull the control levers they will not return to the forward position, I have to push them forward manually to get back to going. Springs are fine and will recoil a little but, but not the way it’s supposed to.
My hydro leaked since day one buying it brand new, took it back they said something was loose has always leaked just turn over 800 hours
Yeah mine was leaking at one of the hose lines too, and hasn’t since I tightened it
She’s lived a hard life. 😂
Haha I've cut a lot of grass with it since then she's got some life left in her
