This helped me massively. Had no idea why my laptop would start up but then just turn off. Turns out I definitely new a new battery. Laptop comes on when battery is removed but charger is plugged in. Big thank you to the uploader 😎👍
My man! My work computer just refused to turn on.. had on replaced the internal battery 12 months before.. cleared static, computer turns on! Im not computer guy, I paint Harley's, but in this day and age computers are a necessity.. thank frig for channels like yours.. saves computer illiterate people like me. Cheers bloke 🤟🏻

Thanks buddy. My Toshiba Dynabook Tecra A50-K-12E just will not power on after a Windows 10 update. So followed the advice to press on the power-button for 60 seconds and it WORKED even though I did not remove the battery (built-in internally). I only disconnected the charger when long-pressing the power button.

Totally Worked! I had NO idea that this was even a thing! Laptop led up to freezing up to 20 times a day! MADDENING! Then I saw this solution. What what whaaaaaat? Totally solved, and on the first try. Static? Really. Amazing solution. Thank you Obi-Wan Kenobi, you were my only hope.
I am using TOSHIBA Satellite L50-A1001 and it have internal battery. It charge when the charger is plugged but won't turn on when I press the open button. I was gonna click the link for the internal battery but have seen your additional info. I've decided to try it and really thank God that I did because it worked! I press the open button together with the 'D' key and it opened! I am so delighted. Thank youu. May God bless you moree. Yey!

@@thinkbig5936 Are you using your computer with a surge protector? You may need to upgrade it. Also, it could be that the battery or power adapter is starting to go bad. Try using the computer without the battery and just the power adapter for a day or two. Does the problem continue?

@@PC_Monkey actually my problem is i have tried to change my windows to look more like windows 10 so i changed icons and windows explorer frame so i downloded many softwares caused virus entering my windows so opened taskmanager and stopped many apps includiing windows apps and it loggson but evrything goes black so i dont think there is repair for that and second problem is i have HCL laptop and it is 10 yrs old so its power button have some problem which caused it to not turn on
Hello im also facing a problem with my toshiba laptop where it wont turn ON only the power symbol that will light and a Symbol i (with a wave on both side of the dot) it keeps blinking then when i let it stay like that for a few hours it will stop blinking and stays glowing and if i press the power bottun i can now turn it off, and when i turn it on again, it will repeat blinking again until the light stop blinking and will stay up so can i can press the power button to turn it off. Already tried removing the battery and and pressing thr power button for a minute still nothing 😢 Do you have any clue what could be the problem, yesterday it was still ok and i could still use it inside the classrom but when i use it today on my break it wont start😢

Hi! To inform everyone, the solution is only temporary. It comes back. Maybe the laptop with internal battery should be opened.

This is the perfect solution, I am doing this daily, Toshiba online service person told me this technique.

However, you shouldnt be having to do this daily. If so, there is prob an issue you need to resolve.

Hello im also facing a problem with my toshiba laptop where it wont turn ON only the power symbol that will light and a Symbol i (with a wave on both side of the dot) it keeps blinking then when i let it stay like that for a few hours it will stop blinking and stays glowing and if i press the power bottun i can now turn it off, and when i turn it on again, it will repeat blinking again until the light stop blinking and will stay up so can i can press the power button to turn it off.
Already tried removing the battery and and pressing thr power button for a minute still nothing 😢
Do you have any clue what could be the problem, yesterday it was still ok and i could still use it inside the classrom but when i use it today on my break it wont start😢

@PC_Monkey no overheating or liquid but i updated the windows probably last saturday but it still manage to function properly and i really need my laptop for school and this upcoming training for programming😭
