Some of those records can be worth a lot Money. Research the items. It's like anything else you have to have someone who has a want & a need for the items. Check the books and albums for Money & autographs. Check the pockets of clothes for cash too. The owner was apparently a very creative person. Somebody else said to leave your mother at home in the comments. Your mother knows what some of the items were that you didn't & probably some of the viewers don't either

Wow I feel so sorry for that woman losing all her treasures she has collected over the years, not to mention her childrens things. We have all fallen on hard times at one time or another.

that "book" of records looks like 78's not Lps. Possibly worth a lot more than you might think, depending on artist and rarity. The pedal you found goes to the keyboard, it's a sustain pedal used like the sustain pedal on a real piano. I had one, they're not cheap, and when I sold it, I still got decent money for it. They do vary in worth tho, with the brand and all.

The purple round cushion at around 22:36 is a cushion for your seat. It's for when you plan to sit for a long time such as a a sewing machine

I have sold a few of those wooden boxes with the 4 squares at about 8:40. Those are for storing bottles of wine, normally when flying or shipping, or as a gift box to someone.

The purple thing at 22:40 is a balance cushion. You can use it for a workout but also for a better posture when you sit on a chair.

Having gone through all the video's on this, she was a seamstress with a well stocked sewing room, though I never saw her machines. So sad. Wish I didn't live halfway across the US and could have hit your garage sale for the fabric and weaving loom.

Make sure you let everyone know when your garage sale is, I’d be interested in this one. Saw some stuff I’d be buying. Wow, she lost her whole life savings and possessions, very sad.
First off, my heart breaks for the person who lost all their possessions. This is a someone's entire existence. On the other hand I wish storage owners could keep the unit owners away from the buyers. It's not fair to you to have to be confronted by the previous owner. jmo
Yes, previous owners should not be able to contact buyers after unit is sold. If they have a problem they need to take it to the storage facility owners. It's very scary being contacted by the previous owners. It's not the purchaser fat they lost it.
I feel that a personal letter is an acceptable way to approach someone has bought all your belongings and there are things that meant a lot to you. It frightens me honestly as I am hanging on barely myself. The other comment bothered me as well about maybe she's sorry that she bought so much now, saying what she bought says a lot about her. As my grandma used to say, there by the grace of God goes you. Things happen and you think it would never happen to you. Believe me. Bad things do happen to good people. People who have been honest and hard working and generous all their lives.
Sandy Sunset I completely agree with you. I think there’s a lesson for everyone there about material possessions. We all likely have things we don’t use or need. I’d feel compelled to ask the owner if there’s a few pieces she would like back in addition to letters etc... he’s already making so much money on the locker. Indeed, by the Grace of God Almighty we go. We all should remember that, you’re right xx

Wade I have several of those fire safes that I keep documents in, and the all use the same key.
Make sure you lay that cutting board flat because it will warp and won’t straighten out. Probably cost at least 50$

I think that poison record might be worth something. They had a edited cover where the tongue sticking out was blacked out in turn making the unedited cover extremely hard to find and this was back in the 90's. Usually rare means money but not all the time. Worth checking out. Great videos!

Looks just like what my sister in law stuck me with when she died. Lady had OCD and bought so much she wound up broke. I learned to say no and will do it even more since my husband died.
When and where is your garage sale going to be? I'd love to come but will have to make arrangements. I know you said May. Do you know when in May?
You better look up each of the records as we sell them into the thousands for single discs. 78's Sell very well for us especially on Amazon.
The 80's hair bands sell well also. We get on average $10 plus for most (Ozzy, Poison, etc)
I love that mills brothers album. They're from my Dad's time, but that's why I love them, he did. I don't have a record player worth playing it on or I'd offer to buy it. Most of those albums will bring more than a buck each. Check on ebay or better yet discogs to see their true worth. Some, probably not so much, but others, well I don't know what you might have. Some go for 20, rare ones can go for crazy money. Oddly, it's not usually the well known artists that sell for big money, it's the ones you may never have heard of, small pressings that there weren't many made that are valuable. The research on the stuff in this unit is going to be killer. This is another one of those units that can pay off for years to come. No way you can list it all or even yard sale it all quickly, not without losing a lot of the potential value.
I collect albums and would definitely be interested in seeing what you have. If I am not mistaken the post office gives a media price to ship records etc and it is much cheaper than regular shipping.

My bead collection is in two dressers, all drawers. molds look like for gingerbread house, just a guess. every time you pan to the top back wall I see those boxes that have the metal handles. really like the look of them

The black folding stool, with the round seat is what a lot of people that play keyboards (music) use to sit, while they play. I know yall probably know this, but make sure to check out those records, including the 45's to see if any of them are worth well more than most would have sold for...anything of artist's that have died, may well be worth a ton of money. The Yamaha keyboard is what goes with the black stool I talked about before. I'd almost bet that this person either played in a band of some kind.
