Thanks Dirk! I was actually intending to enter this run, but then the whole thing with my phone, so I decided to skip it and just call it a practise run. I really look forward to trying this for real, see what happens. And I'll be watching out for yours, too!
Thanks Craig, yeah, it was a nice surprise... I got a new body today and it is very weird, so now I need to mess around with the chassis to make it work, so let's see if I fuck it up, or make it better... Probably 4-5 days build and paint and reinforcements still before I can run it again... Let's see... I love this challenge...
Nice test run, Mads, looks like this is gonna be a fast one! Great to see you had her running straight and true, this bodes well for the proper speed run attempts! Best of luck my good friend! 😎😎👍👍
Hi Mark! Yes, now I see why you like this chassis so much, it does drive straight as an arrow! I do still prefer some more offroad capabilities, though, he he... I got a different body coming for it today, I need to start figuring how to keep that stability also for the proper timed runs, I think that might be a challenge. I also bought me a big aluminium reinforced plastic sheet yesterday, so I can really work on aero, ha ha, as if I know what I'm doing... Thanks my friend, and I look forward to seeing more from you also.
Looks like you got her switched out OK from TT02B.. Shes smoking.. Man can't wait to see some numbers my friend.. 62 is great.. Pretty sweet setup.. Hope you get things sorted..
Nah, I changed plans last minute, so this is a new kit, built with mostly aftermarket upgrade parts... Also the body, I ended up buying something completely different from what I was intending, ha ha... Yeah, I need to figure a way to retain that awesome stability also at greater speeds... By the way, not sure I made it clear in the video, it is 62 kph... Next time I will try to remember to include conversion to mph also... Thanks for watching, buddy!
@@madsrcbuggy right on brother.. glad you didn't butcher that tt02b... My first runs with stock parts was right there 20 to 30 mph and now you can make her fast bud. Love the vids and the fun.. thanks for sharing
Haha hopefully to too terrible an experience! Hey I have ordered one of those GPS things. Hope I can get it to work. Anyway your car looks way more stable than mine. Great test 👍
Thanks Pete! I think the word I was looking for was terrifying... Yeah, regarding the GPS, I like that Bluetooth device because it can be part of the car, also when I have a body over it. I've seen on way too many videos they velcro it on the top and then it flies off to somewhere, I don't want to risk that... It was surprisingly stable. I think from what I seen on other videos, the body actually has a negative effect on stability. I got a body coming in the mail today, I need to start figuring it out...
Thanks Yoda, I was also very positively surprised how it went. Yeah, I needed to pry the GPS out of the corpse of my Lunchbox, heh, still had the 59kph in its memory from last year, seems I don't use it often, ha ha!
Thanks Dom! Yeah, very positively surprised it went so well... So today I did the logical thing, I went and messed with it, so now let's see where I am... It'll take probably 4-5 days before it's in running condition again, ha ha...
Ha ha, yeah, I think the word I wanted to say was terrifying... But still, it's a rush, and it's difficult to describe. Mostly positive after some days of building, and then those very few seconds of run time, it's quite a special feeling... Thanks for checking the video, buddy!
Thanks buddy, I was surprised how well this went! I started working on the body, and it is Hell... I think from I watched around on others' videos, the body is crucial... Running without a body is pretty simple, no downforce but also no parachute effect, so it's just the weight of the chassis and a tiny bit of turbulence, simple stuff... With the body, that gets complicated... As I commented on your video, I got fairly similar setup to yours... But this body work... Let's see if I got something good going on or if I'm just messing around, ha ha...
Thanks Paul! Yeah, I was lucky to find almost everything in red... Only the spur gear holder was blue, I dipped it in some lye, then that was gone, ha ha...
Nice test run! I have a cheap little bike GPS speed meter and not the fancy one like this. Mostly because I am cheap with stuff like that and I know me, I'll break it if it is expensive and it will last forever if it is the cheap one! LOL! I just need to remember mine the next time I go out!! LOL! You need a spot with less things to possibly hit!
Thanks Addam! What I like about this GPS is it becomes part of the car, I factored it in while building. What I saw in so many videos is they velcro it on the roof and then there is risk it flies off and I didn't want that... If I had the one with a display, I would do the same, and have an unpainted part of the body or something... I just messed up with my phone, I can imagine the poor thing was confused, providing internet for the computer in the other end of the building, and then also need to talk to the GPS, ha ha... Yeah, regarding the area I had, it's same as last your with the CW-01, but seems they got a lot more crap lying around now... I found a nice parking lot, very big, just need to make sure it's empty, ha ha...
Mads' RC, I think you did a great job on the speed run. You will get the hang of the GPS analyzer. Now I will say that TT02 did some awesome drifting at the end😯😯. 37+mph is awesome 👍👍👍, I know you are having a blast taking on this challenge. Take care and stay safe. 💥 I thought I was subbed to your channel, but wasn't. Now I am
Thanks buddy! I think I remember your name is Al, right? And thanks for deciding you want to see more of my stuff, I certainly got more coming, and also some bigger vehicles to more match the stuff in your video repertoire. Yeah, I was really happy with that run, but I decided to not clock it. The issue was my phone was just overloaded with other stuff, it is really old, like me, ha ha! And it wouldn't have counted without a body on it anyway... You're right I am having a blast with this, with RC cars in general, I totally love this stupid hobby!
That’s a pretty sweet baseline. It looks like you were having fun there (the driving not the tech, lol). Are you running a spool up front? I’m trying to figure out why some of these look more stable than others.
Thanks Brice! I was surprised myself how well it handled. Can't really say I had fun, it went so quick I barely had time to enjoy it, ha ha... I have a silicone earplug in the front diff, so I guess it has same effect as a spool. Good thing you asked, I had forgot I put it there. I do think it helps on stability, pulling the car under throttle. Actually, I will review the footage, I think the parts where it started to slide, it was when I released the trigger... I also considered if I should add drag brake, but so far didn't try that yet, not sure it will do me any good, I am also trying to avoid crashes, ha ha...
The other thing I forgot to mention is really hard suspension, I'm hoping for minimal loss of traction... Still really excited to see what happens when I put a body on it though...
Thanks Rob! Like I commented back to Pete Wylie, I think the word I wanted to use was "terrifying", but "terrible" was also accurate enough... This challenge is a big mix of pleasure and pain... And it's on a hair thin line, it can change in a blink of an eye... It's fascinating and it gives me a kick... Yeah, the real run is postponed maybe 4-5 days, I went and overcomplicated the aerodynamic bits a bit, ha ha...
Hi there Mads, that was a great run, 38.5mph is very respectable. Best wishes 😊😊
Thanks John, and makes me realise I forgot to convert to mph. I will pin your comment. All the best to you, too!
Ah, not sure I can do that...
Great result. Great idea to test everyting. Looking forward for your real runs. Good luck my friend

At least your GPS has arrived, we are still waiting for ours in the post!
👍 👍 👍 👍

Seems to run nice, great practice run.
Yeah, I was quite positively surprised, it went that well... Just the dumb phone sort of failed on me... Thanks for the comment, Mattias.
That is driving great
