moonsorrow is one big pile of special shit! I´ve been on their gig twice, and heard their music , really did not quite fuck me then as it does now, the album jumalten aika was the eye opener for me, and now I have their whole catalogue of albums.. took some time, but for the fucks sake I am happy to own them all
The interlude around 1:20 and how it builds into a riff around is absolutely incredible.
That final scream...it tugs at the heartstrings...sounds genuinely broken, anguished and hopeless...
The chorus/ending has me in tears. Such a magnificent work of art.

don't call them viking metal. for one thing, they are from Finland so they're not vikings. For another, they sing about their own mythology not Norse.
I was listening to that song life where I was thinking of my Girl which is my wife now :) That was at Metalcamp 2011 and I was watching the full moon. It was a freezy night.

There is a mistake in lyrics. The line "Here I shall remain, without yearning" is repeated. The second one should be replaced with: "My broken spirit I shall give to the streaming waters"
