Not necessarily, though there’s a fair amount of overlap however that's not a negative. I know for a fact a well diversified portfolio brings about tremendous value. With an initial deposit of 127k, I've had a great run investing in the past seventeen months with appreciation and dividends- - more than quadrupled. Just hit $500K!
I've lost a lot in the markets and I feel pretty stupid for not understanding how investing works. Hell, despite having a double major in economics I’ve been struggling to make sense of the market. Kind of a difficult concept to grasp and I am feeling overwhelmed at this point. Well done on profits!
I hear you. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed, especially when the market doesn't behave as expected. One rule I follow is that I don't put my money into anything I don't understand... By actually keeping it simple and leveraging pro guidance from a reputable CFA I make more money with way less headaches. However on average, she takes 10% of earnings, but using *Lina Dineikiene's* system allows for a more hands-off approach. I conservatively follow her recommendations and buy and sell strategies, and tbh this makes it possible for me... I am convinced it's not just hard work but smart work:-)
Thank you for the video! One thing stopping me from investing into ETFs is not knowing how to do the tax at the EOFY. Could you please make a video how to do taxes in Australia as someone who is investing into stocks/ETFs? And how would it work if investing into US ETFs?
hey mate, I can consider making a video on that topic in the future! but essentially with most ETFs it all automatically gets pre-filled into myGov, so there really isn't much to do! pre-fill is usually completed by September
Silver. Great video. Currently paying off my debts and on target to be debt free come 01/25. Ill be replaying this in January and putting that freed up money to building my financial fortress. Subbed 🤝🏾
Hi Raymond, I have another question. Once you have bought/invested an amount of money into an ETF, do you need to continuously invest money into that same ETF, for example each month? I am asking this as I have heard of the “buy and hold” strategy where you invest your money and let it sit? I would appreciate clarification
You could just buy and hold your initial investment, but by continuously investing you're taking advantage of compound interest and you'd see your wealth increase at a faster rate as opposed to just investing the one time.
I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.
Find quality stocks that have long term potential, and ride with those stocks. I have found it takes someone who is very familiar with the market to make such good picks.
@@JakePeterson-n9d Yes. It is very easy to buy in on trending stocks but the problem is knowing when to sell or hold, which is why a coach is important. I've been in touch with one for about a year now and although I was initially skeptical about it, I will say I've made more progress within a year generating 6figure profit

Hii mate Can you please guide what platform to use to invest in etf and shares by self managed super fund. I have opened a smsf account at Westpac bank. Thanks
VTI is a US Stock Market ETF , so most wont be able to find it if they are searching AU markets ? People might need to change their Filters from searching AU market to US market ?
The market's volatility makes DIY dangerous. You do not need to identify the next NVDA to be successful in investing. Choose top-tier ETFs, dividend aristocrats, and a trusted advisor. I turned $180k into $20k in quarterly dividends, which is an exciting milestone
The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.
I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $130k in passive diversified safe-haven assets, Up 358k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
Well, I picked the challenge to put my finances in order. Then I invested in cryptocurrency, stocks, through the assistance of my discretionary fund manager
I have a 3 fund portfolio but I have finally decided to invest in ETFs, alongside. I’m looking at SCHD, VTI, XLK or SCHG.
Great picks! I like XLK and SCHD equally!
@@wendylistings3234 thank you! Actually would it be silly to have both?

Thanks for that feedback will note it for next time
Hi Raymond.
Just to clarify that you will only be investing in Australia stocks as you webt with the CHESS option.
Is thst correct?

No I also invest into some US stocks. You can always open a seperate custodian account with Moomoo
@raymondla I din't realise you had to convert AUD to USD to buy US stocks.
