Carb rebuild kit. New fuel, change oil, lube all wheel bearings, ball joints, new brake pads, new filter, fill tires to 3.5lbs, shine/buff with plastic polish. Good to go for 10 more years. Love Honda. That Linda looks good, still has decals, no cracks in plastic, no tears in seat, just dirty..
Yes sir this one was very cared for and I actually just went to repair a tire on it 2 weeks ago and can tell you that it is being well cared for once again
I have the same quad. On a remote trail at night wide open I missed my turn and ended up upside down completely under water. Quad behind me said I was there and then gone. They doubled back I was still under. Long story short I drove that quad home that night. Minor maintenance these quads are indestructible. Bought it new in 01 still have it today. Bought new mud light tires twice and some plastic getting ripped off that’s it runs like the day I bought it.
I just sold a 2004 foreman 450 ran like a top. I rebuilt pretty much whole thing myself. Keep fluids full and clean, and grease em they'll go forever. Can't neglect something and expect it to give back.
It's a 2003 Rubicon. You can tell because they integrated in 2004 the fuel level into the display and not the mechanical one on the tank that the 2003 has. I owned both
I have a 2003 honda rubicon put a new carb on then d1/d2/esp started flashing I can take the tps off the carb and esp will work but if I put it back on d1/d2/esp flashes after starting it what Is wrong with it? How does the tsp need to be preloaded
I wish I had customers that would say " Yeah just fix it all" That Honda was pretty clean in that carb. I've got one now that looked like someone scooped a bunch of dirt and put the bowl back on. Then they want you to fix it for under 100.00.....not today
CODE 6 Fix I went though everything 20 times over and this Rubicon would not shift. Code 6 says Angle Sensor and it was but replacing the sensor does not help unless you do it right. You have to preload it by putting it on 90 degrees off then turn it clockwise putting tension on it. So simple but the manual does not clearly explain it.
@@averybryant I have a 450 foreman it's a 02 model, been through the carb and cleaned everything in there nothing appears to be bad with it , just did the topend on the bike so it has compression had it running doing the heat cycles and shut it down went to crank it back up and no fuel making it to the motor has gas to carb, but none from carb to motor it's coming out the back where the air filter goes ...and it has spark
i have a 2004 trx500 looks just like that. do you know what the settings for the tps sensor should be. the ohms and volts to set it right. thanks for your time. and good job on your project
Hello, this video 8 mon old you might not be there anymore. If you are and want to help a bro, I would appreciate it. I bought one like the one you were working on. If you answer this we'll go from there.
I have a 2002 foreman rubicon and it runs and starts fine on reserve but when you turn the gas to “on” it starts good but once you run it it looses throttle response and power then sputters and cuts off and wont start. Runs just fine in reserve tho. Any answers to what you think that’ll be? I just got new spark plugs and the old one was fouled. It tends to run super rich on “on” too.
Only thing I can think of where ‘ON’ vs ‘Reserve’ would make a difference in fuel mixture would be that the fuel pickup screens on the tank valve get old and crumble if their original. Replaced the valve cause it wouldn’t shut off any more on my 06 but the screens fell apart during removal of the 15 yr old part
Somewhat yes, i dont think ive ever owned a honda that didnt have a light tick or something lol. But theres a number of things it could be honestly its just how much does it bother you
It's a real shame cheap lazy people put just any kind of oil in a Honda bike🤦♂ Honda engine oil was designed by Honda engineers specifically for Honda ATV's and motorcycles!!

It must be nice to have the resources to make it run again. Ive got the same thing, sunk 1300 in it, lasted 2 monrhs.

Yea this one was definitely nice to work on. Most times i dont do much work for the public, more so family and friends and they use common sense lol
I have 2 Rubicon that won't stay started. Where are you located?
I have a 01 honda forman rubicon and the oil been coming through the carburetor some ever had that problem if you did let me thank you
I can't get my 500 Rubicon to charge, I changed rectifier then the stator then another rectifier and still not charging

What oil did you use? Looking for more options other than Honda.
Valvoline 10w-40 Atv oil, about $4.5 a quart

When you removed the sensor from the carburetor did you need to reset anything
What do you check if the battery is replaced and everything is still dead when the key is tuned on?
First fuses. Then start wiggling wires and try pushing them further into their connections
I have the same four wheeler what kind of oil did you use
10w- 40 atv oil valvoline brand. Motorcycle oil works also
Also did you add a new oil filter because on my I can’t locate the oil filter
@@mauriciorubio8485 I’m pretty sure the oil filter is on the bottom near the drain plug but not sure and yes you should replace oil filter
Is the hydro transmission shot? Thats the real question.

Is it manual shift and how much are you going to be asking for it
Is the ticking noise normal on these Honda’s? I just rebuilt a 04 trx 500 and sounds just like yours.

What year is this rubicon, trying to identify mine
I do not remember exactly but i think it was an 02 or 03
Where do you get your Honda parts at?
Hondapartshouse.com or on ebay. Mostly ebay. For service items such as filters and oil I pick up locally or get genuine ones from amazon
@@averybryant thanks!! Actually need a seat for a 2001 Rubicon.
Is there an oil filter on this model?
Yes there is
Yes it's at the bottom 12 mm bolt take the cover off be sure to reuse the washer between the spring an filter 😉. The Honda Amatic are the best
Is that a 2004
So 6 quarts?
