Love seeing the youtube farmers getting these demo units! The publicity for the dealership, the extra views for the channel. The excitement of the farmer showing off the new "toy" Love it.
But then you get the overwhelming sadness, the tears, the wailing when the dealership takes the equipment back and leaves the UA-camrs with their old and knackered equipment.
The case ih sprayers with aim is by far the best for reduced drift along with reliability and speed of spraying!!! We had a few ourselves and now there is a lot of custom guys around here that run them now.
My record for a 24hr period of spraying was 4200ac with the 4420. The 4410 only had a 100ft boom but still got 3700ac with that old girl hahahah. Have fun guys!!
Nick and Zach Millennial farmer are made to be in front of a camera. The Patriot is going to save you time and time is money which can make you or break you and its nice to see the tractor companys engaging in new ways and means of technology.
Few comments, compliments, complaints and congratulations. It's really nice to see youtube channels like yourselves and other social media platforms helping farmers so much. Y'all spot light what it takes to be a farmer. How hard it is and the terrible odds many face. Especially with covid. You and many others have helped shatter the stereotype that were all drooling idiots who are to stupid to have a real job. It's also nice to have close knit we really are. It's also great to see y'all are thriving despite it all. Seeing others demo machines and giving honest reviews really, really helps small outfits choose the best equipment for thier needs so they don't have to play Russian roulette with thier investment. Plus the podcasts and free advice is a really great way to pay fed. That said I've got one complaint/critique. I've always watched your channel for the buds and other older machines brought back to life. I do however understand your first concern is keeping your farm alive. Your not a tractor channel, your s farm channel. And as much as I'd have loved to see you resurrect the old versitle ( oh hell I misspelled that one!) With the blown tranny. It's just not feasible for you. I'm just whining for another rebuild series like y'all did with the big bud. Finally, I've got to admit this next one has no easy answer. I know how appreciative y'all are to your subs and you don't seem to be developing a nickacado avacodo attitude. I know you want to provide the best content and production value for your subs thus why you've hired an actual editing service. The musical score, beauty shot for the machines etc really are great. Yet I've gradually liked your vids less and less. I liked the rougher vids better because I felt a connection I guess. It's hard to articulate but I just don't feel the UA-cam content creator vibe anymore. It's started to feel like reality tv. However as I said there's no easy answer and I seriously doubt that your doing the for any other reason than you wanting to bring the best content you can for your subs, members and patreons. In the end though, it's nice to see the good vastly outweighing the bad
WOW!!!! The Patriot beats the JD 4640 with 100 gal saddle tanks and 3pt boom that I used on the farm in the 80's HANDS DOWN! Wish I was farming in the 21st century with all the New and Improved Techi toys. Whenever I would go through the slightest bump with my sprayer the booms would jump 20 ft into the air. And that was trying to be careful on the bumps. And the monitor control system is a major upgrade from the manual turn by hand valve to select spray positions on the boom. Chemical savings and application speed would pretty much pay for the Patriot sprayer. Good Job! You sold this hard core JD farmer on one. Cheers...
The nozzles run off of a pwm signal... they are always going on and off depending on demanded duty cycles! Love the patriot! Fun to work on and set up for customers!
Millennial has to many bad connotations to call yourself a millennial. You are a hard working farmer who deserves the new equipment, even if it is a loaner. Congrats on being able to spray so much so fast. Thanks for sharing.
That's a nice running rig you got there. It beats a Case IH 5240 tractor with a Farm rite 500 gallon tank sprayer with 30 foot spray booms any day. Good luck, stay SAFE and GOD BLESS!!!
It's a great field applicator, simple suspension that's comfortable, 5 way nozzle selection is nice to have also. Case IH is really on target with these machines. Another great video Nick, God bless you and all of your family's and friends.
Just a very few years of my life ago, youtube started then the internet caught up and it was the redeeming factor for them I feel. Lots of us have given up cable tv as its so expensive that it is a six figure income or nothing. So for good internet and never board, figure one third of what cable started at and then start with wifi an other stuff, a buck a month and we see farming, fishing, hunting, trucks or cars, homes being built but the best part is the interaction. I know names like Nick or Hollywood as he was first known. They (you guys) have been nice and answering questions and letting us into your lives, and we share ours with you. I give you this, I miss saturday morning cartoons on tv with my kids, the youngest is fifty two. Yeah, I am old but will be here for a short while yet. So going cross the field against the grain in woodsman talk and others can do the same. Its wild what equipment can do now. I remember hand cranking tractors. Nostalgia and all that, that button looks so good to me. Very soon that tractor Nick ran will have voice command and it will handle skips and doubles no problem... we may not have smell avision yet but I see it coming and the tractor will be autonomously driven. So a half million acres will be the scheme of things. No more hundred acre farms or bob in railroad pants. We are going into the future so fast.
My Mom use to freeze water in washed out gallon milk jugs. She would fill them up 3/4 full, freeze it and then when we were going to go out to bale, work the fields, whatever, she would top it off with water. Thus we had cold water for quite some time as it melted.
Welcome to the 4440 club! I work with a custom application company and we're running 1 4440 out of our location. I am usually tendering water and chemicals to it. We've got over 1200 hours on it at this point. Can say I do know that the lower boom inside hinge pins can wear as I have seen 2 of them snap in the past. However, that said, it's an exceptional machine with only minimal downtime.
Now that was awesome Nick. I know you don't like John Deere but I have the 1979 4440 from our farm. It's a 130 hp 4WD. I don't farm anymore but I still love it.We had dairy and beef. The technology that has been implemented is amazing. I only use mine for getting firewood, snow removal and helping out the neighbors. Great respect for all of you.
The thing I love about IRL farming is that each episode is always something new but the best part about them is they all have a story behind them. It’s not like the scene has to be set up to get content you just record as you go and teach things along the way because your family and all the others like Zack (MF) and Cole (CTCS) the farms were just farms that had tech added to them and it gives you guys something to do to pass the time. I love content that has just a genuine feel to it as I said set up content gets old and drives me away from watching it. I always try to make my sort of content to feel like these videos as it feels like I’m standing right next to you guys experiencing it as it happens. Keep up the videos as I may not catch all of them but I sure as heck will make an effort to catch up on them! Oh and P.S. now Legarms has a shot to spray in the brute even though he said he doesn’t want to so he can keep his no use of something I’ve built promise haha.
We have been running aim command on sprayers since 2005. And they are very reliable. We have had nearly no issues with them. Really the only way to spray now a days. Aim command Capstan system or exact apply paired with wilger nozzles are unbeatable
Brings back memories of spraying for my Dad. Of course our equipment was nothing like that. I didn't even get a cab! Certainly no computers or individual nozzle shutoffs. Hell, what am I talking about? That was nothing like spraying for my Dad! Nice piece of equipment!
I missed the old way Nick edited videos of the equipment with the drone footage and soaring music...glad to see it back in this video of the sprayer. Nice video, nice sprayer!!
Case IH has some nice products. Glad Welker farms has partnered with them. Both companies become better for it. A well run family farm, A equipment manufacturer also well run.
Nice Ride ... All i could think when looking at it was to make a camping rig out of it. in closed building with a nice open deck on the back and head to the mountain lakes ...
That is a sweet rig I like how the nozzles turn on and off I had heard of that never seen it in action I also heard that they have nozzles that can identify each weed and just spray the weeds not the whole crop
It’s awesome to see farming channels get new toys for the viewers to see case from the welkers deere mnmilinial farmer and fendt agco from brians farm videos all awesome channels
I've seen the future for spraying, this was pretty cool! Next step is to make this sprayer into a drone - you push a button and it flies from the shed to the field drops the chemicals on the field or fields and returns to the shed and puts itself away, just like a big Roomba!
Modern day sprayers are awesome with the technology they incorporate and overall ride quality. That Case is a pretty nice rig and that’s coming from someone who runs a newer green one
Very nice machine. 500k is alot of money. Sure wish the markets were better for our farmers so they all could afford nice new equipment like this. Even if the brute is cooler the ease and the efficiency of the new sprayer would be nice.
When I worked for Cenex in the mid nineties, we had a Patriot (before Case IH bought them out). It had air apron, we could spray in fairly high winds. Only had a 350 gallon tank so we were filling all the time.
Ran 1 for our co-op 4 ten years best sprayer ever they replaced it with another brand I quit spraying moved to dry fertilizer in a case floater great reliability
Thank you CASE IH and Torgersons this is one heck of a unit! I wish I had one. Great to see a new toy on the channel! I can't wait to see how effective it's application has been. This should really improve the yield on the fields it gets used on. I love Big Brute, but he is very old school compared to this space ship. Take care and God Bless! 😁
Varrig's Channel weed control has got to do with nozzle selection and wear, water rate and weather conditions at time of spraying. Sprayer calibration also plays a big part. Getting the right chemicals in the right paddock also has an influence on final yield.👍🇦🇺
My neighbor built a few 176 spray booms. The big Case Patriot was the only one that was built heavy enough to handle it. Now the farmers who still have them buy new bare power units without the booms and put the 176 ft booms on them. Can you imagine spraying 176ft at 10 mph putting 10 to 20 gallons per acre? 176 foot matches up to a 48 row on 22in spacing. So it can take 3 planter passes and stay on the planter tractor tracks. I think that there is like 6 rounds to an 80 with that machine.
It's an Autobott, Transformer. Maybe get a good deal on both of your sprayers for trade. Very nice sprayer. You guys should put a green in your yards, and have one hole at each house that way you have a 3 hole golf course and you can play when you want.
Ran a 4430 for two years but around 40,000 acres on it. Decent sprayer. Didn't think it was built as heavy as the deere's were. And deere's ride was way smoother. So for custom app loved my R4045, but always thought the Patriot was a good farm use sprayer.
I've seen some people use stripper headers on harvesting wheat. It is supposed to keep the next crop in the shade and keep the moisture in the ground for the next crop so they don't dry out.
Just had another idea for something to use that 'new' articulated tractor for. Channel cutting. You have at least one field I heard you mention has serious drainage issues. Cut a channel or two across the whole length of the field a couple feet deep to collect water, then pump into a different field without drainage issues to dry one field and irrigate another. That tractor probably has the power to cut a decent channel in a single pass. You could use it to straighten drainage ditches and creeks elsewhere as well to make 'cleaner' fields.
I'll be fair that machine is soo nice I'm from northern ireland and I'm used to a sprayer that you have to go out and fold the boom by hand and it attaches to a tractor
They cancelled the state fair here because of the remaining public health uncertainty and not wanting to yank the chain of all the nice food vendors other stuff that have to plan months ahead. One of the things I'll miss is seeing all the new ag equipment, so this video was really neat. Especially the stuff with the PWM flow control solenoids when you're turning! Nice.
Amazing video nick. You should dedicate all your cinematic clips and make a good one while your spraying this spring! Green grass, wildlife & CASEIH. 💥
The tech in sprayers will greatly improve in the next few years. With inferred sensing spot spraying new nozzle will be like new electronic fuel injectors in a sense. Being a John Deere guy my whole life. It’s nice to see other brands with comparable or if not better systems and features that we don’t normally get to see cause around us there’s no one that offers support or parts within a reasonable distance.
You said the cab looks like a Magnum cab, that’s because it is. Lol. The cab for the Patriot is assembled on the same line as the Magnum cabs in Racine, WI. I worked at that plant for several years. They build the cabs there and ship them to Benson Minnesota where the Patriot is assembled.
A 1982 VERSATILE 1150 4WD tractor-Cummins KTA1150 18.8L 6 cylinder engine; 470 hp; 20.8R42 triples - triples have been removed for trucking; 5 hydraulic SCV; 140” wheelbase; 400 gallon fuel capacity; 7,946 hours on meter (unverifiable); 12F/2R Powershift transmission - Transmission needs repair. Tractor came from a bank foreclosure. It sold for $13,900 on March 19th, 2020. Wish I seen your video on the Versatile sooner, awesome sprayer though...
It is obviously better to lend that sprayer to you for the next couple of weeks than it is just sitting on their lot at one of the busiest times of the year so many more people will see it if it is on your channel, it is very interesting to see latest equipment does the same job better.
We’re in the time now where electronics are getting very reliable on equipment and vehicles. So I’m excited to see where the electronic technologies go in machines from where we are already are with individual nozzle shut off etc.
Love seeing the youtube farmers getting these demo units!
The publicity for the dealership, the extra views for the channel. The excitement of the farmer showing off the new "toy"
Love it.
@@anderleof Everyone benefits from that.
Nicest part is you get to see it ran and what other people think of it
But then you get the overwhelming sadness, the tears, the wailing when the dealership takes the equipment back and leaves the UA-camrs with their old and knackered equipment.
@@anderleof adblock plus. A+++
yeah but not many normal farmers get these demos..

Glad you liked our sprayer. My wife has been with CNH Credit for 22 years. Welcome to the Case family

We have gotten to know many of the Racine CaseIH team and they are definently a family and team

It jump scared me when he said wild oats in my peas at the beginning
Edit: thanks for all the likes you guys are amazing
Yeah! What will his wife say if Nick is spreading wild oats in the county?!?
Andrew Miller no
Yeah. The volume in this video is a little high so that intro definitely caught me off guard and made me jump.
same
Rita Landis same
Nick: ‘We want these to grow’
Also Nick: *pulls out pea plant*
Everyone else: so you chosen death
He has enough of peas
At least he gives a rip 😁
Thanks, I had no idea there could be that much innovation in spray technology. Complex but very 'green'. I hope you get one eventually.
Nice Ride ... All i could think when looking at it was to make a camping rig out of it. in closed building with a nice open deck on the back and head to the mountain lakes ...
Very educational video, fun to see new equipment and electricronics.
That is a sweet rig I like how the nozzles turn on and off I had heard of that never seen it in action I also heard that they have nozzles that can identify each weed and just spray the weeds not the whole crop
We used to call them Bouncing Betty back in the 90s. Good machines for that time. Now.....WOW . Total change of balance and suspension.
Whenever I’m having a bad or down day I watch your channel and it always makes me happy. Thank you and keep up the great work!
It’s awesome to see farming channels get new toys for the viewers to see case from the welkers deere mnmilinial farmer and fendt agco from brians farm videos all awesome channels

Modern day sprayers are awesome with the technology they incorporate and overall ride quality. That Case is a pretty nice rig and that’s coming from someone who runs a newer green one
Nice ride Nick! Now you can spray into the wee hours of the night. Fancy machine you have there! Hope your dad buys it!
Like a kid at Christmas 😂 That was an awesome intro! The Patriot is definitely a solid and modern piece of equipment. Good product review 👍
Well done Nick
Great ride, looking fwd to seeing the lighting package
Very impressive sprayer. Thanks for the video.
Very nice machine. 500k is alot of money. Sure wish the markets were better for our farmers so they all could afford nice new equipment like this. Even if the brute is cooler the ease and the efficiency of the new sprayer would be nice.
BRUTE is an awesome sprayer
When I worked for Cenex in the mid nineties, we had a Patriot (before Case IH bought them out). It had air apron, we could spray in fairly high winds. Only had a 350 gallon tank so we were filling all the time.
Good luck with the demo. Sure is a beast.
Ran 1 for our co-op 4 ten years best sprayer ever they replaced it with another brand I quit spraying moved to dry fertilizer in a case floater great reliability
Nice job Nick, you are real good at demoing their equipment! I can see why they let you try stuff out. Always a pleasure watching and learning!
Very impressive machine.
Dude, you guys get to try out all the new stuff. Lucky you.
We feel blessed
God bless you too nick and all of the Welker family.
Thank you 👍
Men and their toys. Cool sprayer.
Varrig's Channel how’s it going to give the peas more rain to make them grow better?
@@stevenstart8728 Less weeds can make a major difference. It can't create rain.
Varrig's Channel weed control has got to do with nozzle selection and wear, water rate and weather conditions at time of spraying. Sprayer calibration also plays a big part. If those parameters are up to standard the colour and age of sprayer is irrelevant. The only advantage that new sprayer has is the speed of application and climate control.
I think that there is like 6 rounds to an 80 with that machine.
that is an ultimate "unboxing" video for you guys. free stuff is always nice
Great explanation about the sprayer & excellent video!
It's an Autobott, Transformer. Maybe get a good deal on both of your sprayers for trade. Very nice sprayer. You guys should put a green in your yards, and have one hole at each house that way you have a 3 hole golf course and you can play when you want.
We run two of them at work. They're pretty amazing machines
I saw this on instagram and have been hyped ever since
HELLO !!!!!! I am Brazilian, I follow your channel from the beginning, I love your work ... very good, thanks for your attention
Thank you to the dealers us common folk would not evan know about whats new
Phew.....just give me a minute to recover from that fright at the start of the video. You got me there!! :)

There was several fires in Oklahoma the other day, glad it’s perfect where you are
At least you've got nice weather, here in sunny old England it's rain but we need it
I've seen some people use stripper headers on harvesting wheat. It is supposed to keep the next crop in the shade and keep the moisture in the ground for the next crop so they don't dry out.
Nick, when I started farming, I did not dream that I could have a sprayer like the 4440. Nice if you can keep it!
I just bought a 4420 patriot this winter. It's neater than a smashed cat. You're gonna want one when this demo is over.
Thats awesome guys, can always use more equipment. Helps get things done faster.
You are running a sprayer identical to what I'm running at work!!! Viper 4 is awsome!!!

Thats awesome how it factors the speed of the end of the boom moving across the ground when the sprayer is turning.
Love watching you farm :)
Amazing video nick. You should dedicate all your cinematic clips and make a good one while your spraying this spring! Green grass, wildlife & CASEIH. 💥
1:37 - never realised how big those Patriot sprayers really are. Even dwarfs the Brute!
That “yes” running around cracks me up every time.... !
Dang that is nice. The Moline U I grew up on the 50s & 60s didn't have a cup holder or a cell phone holder.
Nice sprayer! Amazing technology. Just hope it is reliable! Troubleshooting could be a nightmare 😱
Great technology . . . Awesome video!
That intro scared the crap outta me but it was funny as heck!! LOVE IT!!
Hey Nick, if farming doesn’t work out for you, go to Hollywood!! The intro was great on this episode!
WOW... what a Monster... Great to watch the arms fold and unfold "it's Alive".. In the future will they add a robot to do the driving also??
That's a good bit of kit .
Love the videos.. look forward to them. Thanks!!!
So I’m excited to see where the electronic technologies go in machines from where we are already are with individual nozzle shut off etc.
nice new big toy
I run a 2016 4440 patriot with raven Hawkeye pulsing and it's a darn good machine!!
amazing machine
Duuuuuude that sprayer is awsome!
21:30 when I used to work for the coop, there were some customers that had 20in rows and wanted it sprayed cross the rows.
