- Who Am I? -
Hi! My name is Austin. I'm a Firefighter, Entrepreneur, and independent creator with a lifelong interest in Adventure, Off-roading, and Overlanding. I started this channel in 2020 as a project to share my Overlanding enthusiasm and help you level up your Gear, Vehicle, and Adventure while having fun and saving money along the way. New videos are uploaded every Sunday, and more often when possible!
I have no idea why these videos don't have hundreds or thousands of views. They should. Maybe because it's a newish channel?
Great content. This channel will blow up soon
Wow, Thank You 🙏I'm so grateful you like what we are doing, It's been a pleasure making content for you... Thanks for your Support 🤜🇺🇸🤛
That Flatbed is so rad... I have toolbox envy.
Haha 😅🤣 I can’t believe it took me this long to realize how functional the Flatbed really is... ps Check out our Instagram for daily updates, I have a few pics with our actual tool box on the truck for work days 💯💯👍💯💯
Thanks for checking out the video 🙏👍
You have the most informative vids on Four Wheel Campers I have seen. I like the fact you are a straight shooter on pro and cons. Great setup.
Thank You 🙏
I've found that it's easy to become a fan and overlook what could be an issue for someone else (that's why I work toward being as objective as possible), while providing possible improvements for the makers of a product. I'm happy my videos have helped, in the coming weeks I've got a few more FWC spring time stuff 👍 Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear any ideas you have for future videos austin@wolfpac-outdoors.com
What is the brand of mat you are using between camper and bed?
I haven't been able to find a brand label on it however, its the stock mat that comes with the Norweld tray. You could try going direct with Norweld or Four Wheel Campers for that.
Yes to the new inflatable maximum comfort mattress ! Nothing beats a great night of sleep !
We completely agree, after spending the last few weeks sleeping on this mattress it’s absolutely the most comfortable setup we’ve had while camping. Plus it packs down thinner and lighter than the previous factory mattress.
Oh man I want that flatbed so much. Love these informative videos
Thanks 🙏 the electric jacks and new bolts have been a life saver 🔥🔥👊🔥🔥 I’m so happy this content is helpful 🤗
What type of bolts and nuts are you using? I used some stainless on mine setup and they galled up even with hand tools.
for the exterior im using stainless, to hold the camper to the tray I use grade 8 bolts
Y don't U use alignment pins and locks like they have on a container
This is a great suggestion 👍 I even had to look it up to understand what you were referring to... As for why not 🤷♂️ the factory system seems to be holding up well and its not overly involved. Although it would be nice if it were easier to line it up 🍻
Great video! I have Northern Lite hardsided camper and because my truck is a daily driver, I load and unload my camper multiple times throughout the camping season. It is easy to do but I do get tired of putting it on and taking it off every time we look to go camping. For that reason, I have been thinking about going to a 4 Wheel Camper so that I can leave it on my truck year round and not take it off. I think I would go more if it was always on my truck, even though the process of loading/unloading is not difficult. Spur of the moment overnighters even would happen more if I was always loaded and ready to go.
After watching your video, there is no way I would load and unload the camper like you did and have the portable jack setup. That is a lot more effort than what I have to go through with my Northern Lite. It is good you can take if off if you need to but I would not be interested in doing that on a regular basis.
We are definitely working toward getting another vehicle so we could leave the camper on full time... but for now, it doesn't really bother me taking it off as frequently as I do, I usually take it off 1x a month.
Thanks for sharing! I pick up my camper in a couple weeks and this video really helped me to understand how the instal works. Where is the electric plug between the truck and the camper?
That plug will be on the driver side of the camper, between the fridge and the water heater...... I'll put the picture on todays post for you 👍
what is the size of your norweld flatbed?
My flatbed is approximately 81” wide x 79” long
Great video! We have a flatbed Hawk, and the is good info. Where did you get the mat, and who makes it?
Thanks!! Which mat are your referring to?
@@WolfPacOutdoors The one between the flatbed and camper.
Sorry for the delay, the mat came with the Norweld Tray... I couldn't find any records on what brand. Your best bet will be to contact Stan K. at FWC HQ, they also install Norweld trays and he should have all those details for you. Thanks for the question!!
