HOW TO MAKE A VERSATILE ELECTROMAGNET
The electromagnet we are going to make is quite complete.
In addition to the coil and core, it has:
- structure made with six woods
- base to hold it with screws.
- spring recovery system
- connections box
- flywheel diode for protection against pulses
It can be used to activate contacts, such as electric lock, to move mechanisms and joints ...
To make the coil, in the video, I use 0.25mm wire and I give about 700 turns. However, I recommend using a slightly thinner thread: 0.20mm with which we can give about 1000 turns. With this, the electromagnet will have more force and will consume less current.
