Mailbag: Does SD really have to rely on super expensive bundles and an overall p2w orientation for monetization? Couldn't they just create cheap affordable bundles for around 5-10€? Because I'd actually consider paying for a game where cheap spending is actually effective and I think others would too.
It never works that way. Low spenders like yourself always spin this narrative in every gacha since the conception of the universe and it's always wrong. For every $100 bundle that gets removed you need to find 9 other low spenders who also buy the $10 bundle. Every single time.

The card that worked best in my Namora build was Storm. Locking down a lane you can still break in with Namora, Tiger, Doom, and the Move cards is strong. Very rarely did I see other Namora decks running Storm.
"I think a lot of people are sleeping on Namora." ... It's almost like a massive influencer in the community said she was the worst card to come out in a long time, and people should definitely save their keys.
It's funny as I bought her on the back of Lamby talking her up and knowing Leech was going to get hit in the pants, so I bought her specifically on the back of an influencer (I might not have if I knew that it was going to be my third consecutive 4 keys required pull..)
I honestly disagree. With practically zero effort, she's a 5/11, and with any luck on a draw, she's a 5/16 and that's without any reveal duplications. Those are comparable numbers to Annihilus getting a Hood/Void combo going off, and he is considered one of the absolute best cards in the game. I realize he also clutters the enemy lanes and defends against early Junk, but that doesn't justify putting him in a S Tier and putting Namora (who has a potentially higher power with reveal repetitions) on a B or C tier.
Mailbag: How do you feel about second dinner making cards as tributes to some of the people behind marvel? For instance, seeing a Stan Lee card that adds comic vfx to all of your plays or a Kevin Feige card that plays sounds or themes from the MCU would be so dope!
Mailbag: We all know Adam Warlock cannot ever be good and not broken with that Draw a Card ability, a rework must come. Well, since he has the Soul Stone in his head, why not give him a similar effect? What about: "5/3. Ongoing: All enemy cards have -1 Power". It's as powerful as Blue Marvel, and it matches the stone. It shouldn't be less for someone who's capable of using the Infinity Gauntlet.
Less powerful than Blue Marvel because Luke Cage and because you don't control whether your opponent is filling a full board or just a handful of spots whereas you can design your deck to maximise Blue Marvel. A negative version of Blue Marvel would need more power to be playable.
One of my favourite Namora moments so far was when my opponent used the extra energy from controlling Castle Black to slam Pro X there turn 4, getting a solid 7 or so points secured with only a Zero powered Iron Heart on my side ... And I immediately snapped. Kamartage (spelling?) was in the middle and I'd drawn Namora and Odin. They snapped back. Sadly they retreated turn 6 but it was pretty glorious

Not gonna lie, Sandman has been my MVP of the past 2 seasons. As tilting as it may be, It gets a lot of 2 cube games. Good against a lot of match ups, and bad against others.
I picked up Namora, trying to get Skaar, and I have to say that I am really digging her. It's obvious what you are going to do with her, but I really like how well she just works. I managed to win a lane with Iron heart, Wong, Namora, and Odin and the 2nd lane had a 20+ power Colossus. It was beautiful.

Hela is the worst card ever - no interaction with it, hard to counter, totally random.

Alex is spot on about Hela. Since Leech got nerfed most players I'm matching with are playing Hela Discard decks now. Very frustrating. I retreat immediately.

This comment is like 81 episodes late.. but Cozy loves his 0.5 rating.. 3.5, 4.5. but wont committ to 5.. if you take his scale & just substitute it to 1 out of 10.. you get a better rating... a 4* rating = 8/10 ... if 4.5* = 9... 3* = 6*.. and that way you can give some one a 5 middle of the ground or 8 better than usual.. 10 is a Perfect 10. think of the Collector's PSA 10.. or PSA 9..
Okay hear me out...for a Galaxtus deck just play all yoir cards in the left lane turns 1-3 and on 3 play electro, turn 4 play klaw in either the left or middle lane (depending where your oppeont has the most power) followed by onslaught on top of klaw turn 5 then Galactus into the klaw buffed lane. You could fill in the other cards to play as a Spectrum ongoing, ramp or TLT deck if the Galactus playline gets shut down.
If you have Sentry and Hood, my vote is on Annihilus just on the sheer amount of decks you can put the Anni package into. Jeff is more flexible, but not as exciting lol. Cannonball is good but his decks are kinda limited to junk and prof x.
Jeff, he's played in too many decks, he's almost like nebula or kitty pride...he's never a bad card. Annihilus is good if you have the rest, but it's pretty much just 2 decks. cannonball is pretty niche.
people cant grasp the concept of leaks being used to test the waters, but its true. im from the sports sector where 2 kits are being designed each season. one gets leaked to see how fans react to it. if they dont like it, the other one gets released instead.
Mailbag: I will never ever accept the logic behind Pro X vs Prof. X. Why is it a thing and why as a teacher did you stand down from saying prof, Alex? Prof. is the written abbreviation for the word and this shouldn't even be a question in the first place. My real question would be: Do you think there are cards that should have their effects flipped with another card and what cards would those be? For example, I always wished Captain America had the ability Patriot has, because Cap is the guy standing for the normal people and in terms of relevance it would've been way more cool to have Captain America be one of the longest staying, solid performers in the meta.
I'll never support Galactus being a part of the meta because no matter how unique an ability is doesn't mean it's healthy and there's nothing healthy about a card that just says "none of your plays mattered" and I hope he stays out the meta and exists in the same space as Agatha as a meme deck which i think are good arc types to have in card games

I took a look at Snap's Steam charts (which, despite not engulfing all platforms and players, still surely is a really useful tool to understand a game's state) and I realized the playerbase is the smallest it's ever been. Since september 2023, each month showed a considerable drop in players, which now amounts to a total 37% reduction in a period of 8 months. More than a third of Snap's players has dropped the game, and these numbers will surely keep growing. I constantly see reddit posts expressing unhappiness with the game and now some creators are quitting too, specially Drewberry (which was expected, but still pretty sad), all this while SD stays silent and mostly ignores our concerns and critiques. It sadly appears that Marvel Snap is gonna die out sooner than I expected. I honestly wouldn't give it more than two years. If you somehow stumble upon this comment and decide to address it, please, tell me: What are the reasons for Snap's downfall? What do you think SD can do to save this game? What do you think you, as content creators, can do? Do you think that Snap's content creators are doing the best they can to not let the game die? (Anyway, don't worry, I ain't going nowhere. You guys' content is pretty good. I hope Rivals doesn't follow the same path Snap did, but honestly, my hopes are as low as possible)
Namora just has too many conditions that have to be met to make it effective. Great deck with cards that can be moved but, short of that, she gets beat up
Completely disagree on Prof X and Cannonball feeling fair. If they get the pro X lane then Cannonball guarantees the win, like Alioth did and Blob did. Prof X is a problem

I just had a game where I dropped Nightcrawler on Atlantis and Wong, Namora, and Odin on Onslaught's Citadel. 107 power Nightcrawler lol.

I think it’s time to revert some of the high Evo nerfs. The power creep has pushed it too far down

My opinion is that it would be that any spiderman,glactus, and Alioth. That deck would be impossible to deal with today's ramp cards.

i cant justify spending 1-4 keys just for 1 card should second dinner be putting some more newer cards in spotlights along side said new card?
i myself haven't pulled for any cards until this week since it had sasquatch and havok
Is the system too focused on new players? should s3 s4 complete players be rewarded with more than just variants of cards they may never use
This comment is like 81 episodes late.. but Cozy loves his 0.5 rating.. 3.5, 4.5. but wont committ to 5.. if you take his scale & just substitute it to 1 out of 10.. you get a better rating... a 4* rating = 8/10 ... if 4.5* = 9... 3* = 6*.. and that way you can give some one a 5 middle of the ground or 8 better than usual.. 10 is a Perfect 10.
think of the Collector's PSA 10.. or PSA 9..

Okay hear me out...for a Galaxtus deck just play all yoir cards in the left lane turns 1-3 and on 3 play electro, turn 4 play klaw in either the left or middle lane (depending where your oppeont has the most power) followed by onslaught on top of klaw turn 5 then Galactus into the klaw buffed lane. You could fill in the other cards to play as a Spectrum ongoing, ramp or TLT deck if the Galactus playline gets shut down.

If you have Sentry and Hood, my vote is on Annihilus just on the sheer amount of decks you can put the Anni package into. Jeff is more flexible, but not as exciting lol. Cannonball is good but his decks are kinda limited to junk and prof x.
Jeff, he's played in too many decks, he's almost like nebula or kitty pride...he's never a bad card. Annihilus is good if you have the rest, but it's pretty much just 2 decks. cannonball is pretty niche.
Annihilus if you want to unlock a new archtype , Jeff if you want a card that fits in almost every deck.

people cant grasp the concept of leaks being used to test the waters, but its true. im from the sports sector where 2 kits are being designed each season. one gets leaked to see how fans react to it. if they dont like it, the other one gets released instead.
So SD is "testing the waters" and then release the first leaked kit all the time?

Mailbag: I will never ever accept the logic behind Pro X vs Prof. X. Why is it a thing and why as a teacher did you stand down from saying prof, Alex? Prof. is the written abbreviation for the word and this shouldn't even be a question in the first place.
My real question would be: Do you think there are cards that should have their effects flipped with another card and what cards would those be? For example, I always wished Captain America had the ability Patriot has, because Cap is the guy standing for the normal people and in terms of relevance it would've been way more cool to have Captain America be one of the longest staying, solid performers in the meta.

I'll never support Galactus being a part of the meta because no matter how unique an ability is doesn't mean it's healthy and there's nothing healthy about a card that just says "none of your plays mattered" and I hope he stays out the meta and exists in the same space as Agatha as a meme deck which i think are good arc types to have in card games

Mailbag: Hey there, guys. I've been feeling increasingly burnt out with the game and I know I'm not alone.
I took a look at Snap's Steam charts (which, despite not engulfing all platforms and players, still surely is a really useful tool to understand a game's state) and I realized the playerbase is the smallest it's ever been. Since september 2023, each month showed a considerable drop in players, which now amounts to a total 37% reduction in a period of 8 months. More than a third of Snap's players has dropped the game, and these numbers will surely keep growing.
I constantly see reddit posts expressing unhappiness with the game and now some creators are quitting too, specially Drewberry (which was expected, but still pretty sad), all this while SD stays silent and mostly ignores our concerns and critiques.
It sadly appears that Marvel Snap is gonna die out sooner than I expected. I honestly wouldn't give it more than two years.
If you somehow stumble upon this comment and decide to address it, please, tell me:
What are the reasons for Snap's downfall? What do you think SD can do to save this game? What do you think you, as content creators, can do? Do you think that Snap's content creators are doing the best they can to not let the game die?
(Anyway, don't worry, I ain't going nowhere. You guys' content is pretty good. I hope Rivals doesn't follow the same path Snap did, but honestly, my hopes are as low as possible)

Completely disagree on Prof X and Cannonball feeling fair. If they get the pro X lane then Cannonball guarantees the win, like Alioth did and Blob did. Prof X is a problem
