Thank you for the flip through. There are some very pretty designs. I love both the vintage and the modern hearts. I usually choose vintage things but I would like to stitch both of them.
Thanks for the great review Carolyn! I just received my issue yesterday too. I have also tagged many of the pieces in this magazine. Love your perspective as always. Have fun stitching. ❤😊
Got magazine in the mail yesterday. I agree so many great charts. I would stitch the vintage heart flower pattern. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Happy stitching 🧵🪡
Thank you for sharing, it is fun to see what is coming out. I would like to receive the vintage one, but stitch the modern heart. I love the winter mugs, so many options.
Thanks for the flip thru! Because of you I ended up renewing my subscription! I had thought to let it go but there was a lot of pretty ones in this. I like the vintage version!
I would consider stitching both I like the romantic lacey look but I also am drawn to the more vibrant one. Thank you for your very interesting videos which I usually watch around 2.30 am in Nottingham, UK. I would just like to wish you a very Happy Christmas and look forward to following you in 2023.
I like both the modern and vintage heart pattern but I would stitch the vintage one but not on that color of fabric. I would use a colored or over dyed fabric to stitch it on. Thanks for sharing this magazine.
Love this issue! I need to renew my subscription. Knowing me I like the vintage and the modern. Thank you for the flip through, really cute charts in this issue, love the trees with the fox.
I’ve printed off stitchy princess design to stitch for a friend. The little bird with the house reminds me of your Cardinal Cottage HAED Love the vintage flowers. Biscornus are easy. The Christmas sampler is a lot of fun
Hi Carolyn. Thanks for the flip through. It's always interesting to hear your thoughts. I like the cover piece best (I'm a circle girl). Re your floral piece, I'd stitch it as a monochrome valentine (it looks like a heart on the black fabric version).
Hi sweet friend! Don't you just love this issue? I am so glad I decided to renew my subscription. I would probably go off the rails and stitch the modern colors but not on black, maybe a solid gray or blue. I am trying to avoid stitching on black at all costs. Did I tell you that I decided I am going to stitch 1 Down 3 Across by Long Dog in mostly Etoile? I have enough white skeined up that I didn't have to go out and buy any. I have chosen a brown for the animals in Etoile, will probably do the stars in gold Etoile and can't remember if I decided to add a 4th color for the birds or not but it will be my New Year New Start. I am so excited to start it. I also love the cover pattern, the skunk pattern, hugs and kittens, the fox, Hello Winter, Cozy Winter Mugs, Mother Nature, Snowy Wren, and the biscornu. I like the deer part of the Christmas Wonder but am so-so on the rest of the bands. We might have to SAL a couple of the projects that we both want to do. Happy stitching and thank you so much for the flip through.
I"m so excited you'll be doing 1 Down 3 Across - I can't wait to see your colors come to life! It sounds beautiful! And a sal is a great idea (when either of us have the time lol!)!
For this one, I think modern. I just think the colors look fab against the dark background. It’s a really good issue- it’s nice to see some fresh designers featured. Thanks for the flip through!
Great flip through and yes, I have to get that magazine! For Hearts an Flowers I love both colorways, but would go with vintage because I have a real hard time stitching on dark colors. Have a Merry Christmas and hope to see you on the 29th at Acorns and Threads.
Thank you Caroline (sorry can't remember, having a brain burp) for doing the flip through. Before you showed the second heart I thought I'd say definitely vintage BUT when you showed modern I was confused🤪. I actually think I'd do both! Now off to buy the pdf version as I'm in UK. Merry Christmas and a wonderful time with your parents🤗
Thank you for the John Lennon quote. ❤ As a Valentine girl, I would stitch both, because sometimes I am vintage, and sometimes I feel modern! It might even be fun to do other colors as well! Thanks for the enticing flip through, I may have to get this one! 😁
Great magazine review, Carolyn! Thank you for doing these flip thrus for us- you are so kind! I would stitch the vintage one. I like the delicate, lacy look of it. It reminds me of Jeanette Douglas’s monthly bouquets from last year. Gorgeous!
I love your flip throughs. I subscribe to this mag but love hearing your take on it. It gives me new inspiration and a different perspective on some of the patterns. As I get older my style is leaning more towards vintage and prim but I love both colorways of that particular pattern. Merry Christmas!
Hi Carolyn, Great seeing you today, Merry Christmas. I love BOTH designs. I would say, where I would decide to hang the finished product is what I would choose. Or whom I may stitch it for. I dont think I'm a big help. Lol But I will be buying that magazine. Have a WONDERFUL New Year.❤
Enjoyed seeing the flip through. Looks like a great issue. Do you know if the digital version is compatible with Pattern Keeper? Contemplating…. I’m on team vintage.
I don't know if it is compatible with Pattern Keeper - my guess is not because I believe the charts that are compatible have to have certain features (I'm not a tech person, so I don't fully understand it). But I do know that other apps like Good Reader would work with digital copy.
I would love the modern bright colors. I like the way the color pops on the black fabric. I love several patterns in the magazine.
Thank you for the flip through. There are some very pretty designs. I love both the vintage and the modern hearts. I usually choose vintage things but I would like to stitch both of them.
Merry Christmas, Carolyn! 🤶🎄 I am a vintage girl. I like the softer versions on most things. ❤
Thanks for the great review Carolyn! I just received my issue yesterday too. I have also tagged many of the pieces in this magazine. Love your perspective as always. Have fun stitching. ❤😊
Absolutely modern. It is stunning.
Got magazine in the mail yesterday. I agree so many great charts. I would stitch the vintage heart flower pattern. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Happy stitching 🧵🪡
Love flowers on black. So I would say modern.
Love vintage!!! I would change a few colors and fabric color too.

I love this issue! I think I'm def more the modern and that's because the heart shape is so defined on the dark linen. Thanks and happy hols!
I would love to stitch the modern one, but I have a real hard time with black fabric. Thanks for the flip through.
Thanks Carolyn! Love that winter scene with the 🦊- downloading this magazine for sure #justcrossstitch

I prefer the vintage feel for that piece. Merry Christmas!

Love them both. Have a blessed Merry Christmas and Happy New Year’s.
Must say I am a more modern person (according to this pattern) But truly I love color, the more the merrier/better...like eye candy.

Modern strikes me on this one

I think it'd also look really nice on a gray or other solid color!
I love this issue and I received my copy a few days ago. I like the vintage but LOVE the modern. I would do it on a dark blue.
That sounds beautiful!
Thanks for sharing my JoANN don't have them yet
Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas

Vintage for sure
I am definitely vintage, plus it is too hard to stitch on black!

Sorry I missed you Carla! I was there with my mom and we arrived when they opened and had to leave not long after.

But I will be buying that magazine.
Have a WONDERFUL New Year.❤
Happy New Year my sweet friend!
I really like the modern, but don't enjoy stitching on black.
I love your flip throughs because you make me look at the designs on different ways than I may have otherwise
I'm so happy to hear this!
