For those of you curious about the lighting setups; The only scenes we lit were the kitchen table scenes. All others were utilizing natural light shooting on the Sony A7s II with a variable ND filter to control exposure. For those scenes, we blacked out the windows from the outside with furniture blankets on c-stands (normally you'd use duvetyne or visqueen, but this method was quicker to setup and tear down as a one-man band). Luckily the house had dim-able overhead lights to give us a nice starting point of how the room naturally lit itself. We filled in the rest with a single china ball light with a standard warm fluorescent bulb. This gave us a nice even fill to bring up the levels in the room. For the edge lights, we used a standard Arri 150w fresnel with some blue gel to give a feeling of moonlight. The Wong Fu bokeh balls behind Travis were, you guessed it, Christmas lights. The office scenes were lit by the existing overhead fluorescents. We were specifically looking for that drab office space lighting to help establish that mood.
Praise you for the setup explanations. I feel like when I am in involved with cinematography, it's always overlooked but it's so vital. Especially for a short like this which needed the visuals to complement the dialogue.

Hey, I'm Manny! I saw that you found my tag with Cassie. We had 8 wonderful years together and were married for almost 6 of them. Unfortunately, she got into a car accident and passed away. She was 8 months pregnant with our son too. It's been a rough couple of years, but I'm hopeful that life will at least be normal again one day. There's a lot of randomness in the world that no amount of planning and future hoping could ever anticipate... but we live on day by day and step by step.

I was thinking the "you got me" scene was shot by Wesley, but it was shot by Phil! So stunning. But when is Wesley gonna write and direct again a video again? the best trick to remembering quadratic formula is by saying the negative boy (-b) wasn't sure whether or not (+ or -) he wanted to go to the radical party (square root) but he didn't want to be square (b^2) and miss the four awesome chicks (-4ac) and the whole thing was over by two anyway (all divided by 2a)
much doesn’t change how it’s expressed commonly destined toward appeal experience or something like that truly entails the kind and unique qualities you can see on yourself as well and the way it is treated and how it’s handled demonstrates the value and importance or something traditional educational long appreciated educational and traditional experiences haven’t seen in before and it’s a good opportunity that we are able and capable in the classroom to have a conversation and learn new ways and experiences to truly express ourselves as well so that our students and their experiences transition experiences and perspectives into our own learning and learning process in a more positive manner and we will have to continue learning new stuff existing and new ways of thinking and sharing our knowledge and ideas that transform experience march 28th existence

Hey Benson, what do you guys use the Sennheisers on the zoom for if you already have it plugged in with the boom mic?

The Sennheisers are for the 2 lavalier mic packs for dialogue. Having that in addition to the boom is a failsafe but also creates a fuller sound.
