At long last, and after a couple little delays, Dreams of the Deep is finished! The album takes inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft stories and many other sources, and puts it all together for a wild journey into madness. The title track itself is a tribute to "The Call of Cthulhu" and its surrounding mythos. The track embodies a slow discovery of a terrifying reality and coming doom, and the following journey by ship into the ocean to find answers.

When the stars were right, they could plunge from world to world through the sky. But when the stars weren't right, they could not live.
Is that from the book or something? Because JT Music had a song that used a similar line, and I wasn't sure if it was from something.

Dreams of the Deep is by far one of, if not, your best work to date. Since the premiere stream, I've been absolutely blown away. The title track really captures what this album is about: A dark, unforgiving decent into madness. Amazing job Avi

Imagine: a cosmic creature, that changes your preferences to make you like what you'll experience in the close future.

I just found this and it is so fucking inspiring that i made a DnD Char about this. She is a Sea Elf Cleric of the Mind Domain and worships a Aboleth that is in a constant state of sleep and dreaming, communicating to her and the other Clerics through Dreams 💜

I don't read much lovecraft but this works for any eldritch horror. Personally, I think it suits the daelkyr from ebberon.

The whole fishing village section of the game was a direct adaptation of Lovecraft's The Shadow Over Innsmouth, though
I mean, Bloodborne is pretty openly inspired by Lovecraft's works
Honestly I went from stumbling into internet drama where I was tilting my head and just went like "Why? Let people be people. Who cares about any of this?". To seeing that a new Aviators song on the top of my new video list and it just made my day.

This is why Aviators calls to me. From the lyrical songwriting to the instrumental choices. From the inspiration to what comes out. Always phenomenal. This however has blown my expectations clear out from under me. Left me in the deep end again, awe struck.
Was the only song I missed last night during the premiere because of poor wifi. Loved the album. I really hope you come back to this Lovecraft style on another album or EP down the line

something about this song is just so grandiose and hypnotizing i always think of it as having a weird structure, and I'm always caught by surprise when I relisten and it's actually just ABABCB

This song lacks carcass, a distinct form. It makes it hard to remember, when there is no proper motive to follow. Which is strangely appropriate for a song about eldritch horrors.
I have to say, I absolutely love this song. This is probably one of my favorites and it feels perfectly like a Cthulhu song. Amazing job, Aviators!

Does "of insight forgotten so long ago" feel a bit like a throwback to Bloodborne? (Maybe it's the late night lyric play, but I'm running with the feeling like this is an in-between moment between Bloodborne eldritch, and Dark Souls end times.)

I think its your sheer musical range that always delights me. This is a different tone to To The Grave, which was very different to Outside but they are all even more amazing and beautiful for it. I very much fell into listening to you only last year thanks to discovering your collab with Miracle Of Sound but you've quickly become one of my favourite music producers.

Well , I gotta say, this album is yet another masterpiece. Sadly, I couldn't make it to the stream yesterday, but I got to listen to the entire album today, and it's amazing. I think I've said this in every comment I've made, but Avi just keeps getting better and better with every song. I'm always happy to see something new from him, and it always makes me anxiously await what he'll make next. it's astonishing how aviators are following my interests. currently listening to audiobooks by lovecraft and playing arkham horror with my family. before that I had a dark country phase, and when I played alien isolation there was that song with weyland yutani references. keep doing that! :D
