Shayan Ghafary this is the problem I’m having. I took the LSAT in 2003 and did great! I wrote alllll over my exam! I am having the hardest time comprehending without writing. I’ve tried taking small notes to stay engaged and help with retention, but then each passage takes me 12 minutes. 😱

we have the option to highlight and underline on the testing program. the rest we can just take notes on our scratch paper. it's not the same as taking the in-person paper form of the LSAT but this will have to do.

Your time was up before you reached the second passage. The real key is how do you get this done and have enough time to answer the questions ? Please do help if you can.

He was explaining everything he was doing step by step for the watcher which obviously takes longer than if he were to just answer the question.

Great lesson but in a timed test, I don't have to do the annotations, am I right?

Unfortunately, your explanation /analysis teaches the students very little, if anything at all. You haven't mentioned your target audience. Are they students of EAP or native speakers? What is their level? As your markings show, you try to simultaneously teach several reading strategies simultaneously and this leaves your students totally confused. Such analysis should be done with the help of PowerPoint presentations where you can use its powerful tools to full advantage. You underline and circle various words and expressions, but do not show graphically how they are . Once you explain something, do not assume that the students will remember it: use notes in the margins. Do not forge the colored markers.

I would think obviously the target audience for people studying for the lsat is that they should know how to speak English exceptionally well.
